If this one beacons I wasnt able to find out how to find that option. I prefer one that will beacon my location at intervals VS me having to tap a green bar every 10 minutes. But other than that the app was decent. Seemed to work as promised. **Developer response:** The newest version 2 has auto beacon features now, perfect for you on the move. Try it it's free. ### 4/5 — Verify me? *2023-05-16* Like the app, interface is fairly clean, instructions adequate. No mention of a verification method, but when I connect, a small pop up informs means that I am not verified and will not be able to transmit. ### 3/5 — It’s a good start *2023-03-06* Need to fix the APRS-IS password and server input boxes so that they’re correct (mine has the server input under “APRS-IS Password” and the password under “APRS-IS Server”. It would be nice to be able to select which port we connect to, but this is still a work in progress. Thanks. ### 2/5 — Need software update *2022-11-06* There is a huge issue with the gps reading. Some time it send my location to the middle of the Atlantic Ocean close to antártica. My call sing CA3IMF. This is by RF aprs ### 3/5 — First foray into APRS *2021-02-10, version 1.0* This was my first time using APRS. After a few tries, I sent my first position report using a baofeng plugged into iPhone. Having to press transmit button seems cumbersome unless I’m missing something. Also, ( the biggie), my position shows up on APRS.fi but not within app. If I’m doing something wrong, I can’t seem to find it. I noticed a couple other reviewers mentioned the same? I’ll admit, still learning here and this app is getting certainly getting me started. Cheers. ### 4/5 — Great app just with a few missing features *2020-12-13* I like the app, it works well at what it does but is missing a few essential features. But best of all, it’s free. 1. Pre tone- transmit a sub audible tone before the actual data for a user selectable amount of time in order to open vox without missing info. 2. Messages- need to tx and rx APRS messages through rf 3. Auto beacon- other apps have the ability to transit every x amount of minutes or x amount of feet. ### 3/5 — Messaging thru internet *2020-11-01* The app says I’m verified, but when I try to send a message it doesn’t show on the app’s feed nor map. I do see my call signs for analog and digital APRS via my radio, and I do see my call sign via the APRSIS32 Windows application. But nothing with this app. ### 1/5 — Maybe I’m doing it wrong *2020-02-29, version 1.0* Although I can see stations, I can’t transmit on network. Haven’t tried RF yet. Says I’m Not Verified. How do I do that? Had to go online for an aprs passcode. Also, do you need to make up a number to add to my call sign ? No contact info. So far it’s a dud. ### 1/5 — You cant see the screen or anything on it *2020-02-10* This is an otherwise usefull app that is slmost useless because the developers cleverly use a black background with dark blue colored text on the screens. It is imposdible to see anything making the program almost useless. This is contrary to the screen shots they show in their ads which have a white background. I deleted it after teo hours of trying to find a way to see the screens. Using an iphone 11 pro max ### 2/5 — PulseModem A *2026-06-29* It used to work after this update it is broken ### 2/5 — Meh *2024-10-11* TCP/IP works fine. However the RF modem being the lackluster flagship feature stinks. TX works great but RX doesn’t. ### 2/5 — TX is ok, no RX messages when using RF *2024-02-10, version 1.0.3* The TX functionality seems to work, other apps can decode the AX.25 generated by this app. However, “Pulsemodem A” does not show any decode messages while in RF mode! Attempted with microphone, line-in, and the input level isn’t distorting. I’m a 10-year licensed ham and media production engineer; all the obvious issues were tested. Off-grid functionality is not possible with this app without having both TX and RX! ### 2/5 — Settings mislabelled, no location tracking.. *2023-05-30* The passcode and the host fields are swapped / mislabelled… so unless you know that or figure it out the app will not connect. Also, there’s no way to have location tracking, you have to manually transmit a packet each time. I've used this app for a few years now and had great success. You don't need an expensive bluetooth TNC, you just need your radio and your iPhone. Hold your radio microphone to the upper speaker on your iPhone and hit transmit and you're set. Perfect for what I wanted.
