## What is pum?

The period and symptom tracker for endometriosis and adenomyosis. Precision-built for the part of your life that affects everything else.

Most period apps are built for the average cycle. pum is built for what your body actually does. For irregular cycles, for cycles that taper or skip or stop, for pelvic pain and painful periods, for the symptoms generic apps don't bother asking about. For the people who want patterns, not averages.

1 in 9 women have endometriosis, and the average diagnostic delay is over 7 years. pum exists for the people living inside those numbers.

NO PAYWALL. NO ACCOUNT. NO ASKS.

Free to download, no subscription required. Logging your first symptom takes under a minute — no fifty-question onboarding, no paywall waiting at the end. Your health data stays on your device. iCloud sync is optional and encrypted. No ads, no data selling, no third-party sharing. pum sends only anonymous crash and usage diagnostics — never your health data, never linked to you.

LOG WHAT MATTERS

• pain — pelvic pain, cramps, by location, intensity, duration
• bleeding, spotting, clots
• GI symptoms, bowel movements, bloating, nausea
• sex, medications, caffeine, nicotine
• fatigue and mood — quick morning and evening check-ins
• surgery, scans, diagnoses, doctor visits — all in one place

Logging is built to take five seconds. No friction between you and your data.

SEE THE PATTERNS

pum's analysis engine finds the relationships your symptoms hide. How sleep relates to pain. How cycle phase relates to a flare. How things look before and after a treatment change. Statistical, n-of-1, inspired by case-crossover study designs — your patterns, not population averages. With confidence intervals. Honest when it doesn't have enough data yet.

PREDICTIONS FOR IRREGULAR CYCLES

Bayesian cycle prediction calibrated to your treatment, not a 28-day default. Handles IUDs, hormonal therapy, post-pill irregularity. Tracks phantom cycles during amenorrhea so the app keeps making sense even when periods stop. Your meds, synced to your cycle phase — tranexamic acid before your period, iron during. Set it once.

APPLE WATCH

Your watch is already doing the work. pum reads sleep, HRV, heart rate, and wrist temperature continuously — patterns surface that manual logging can't catch.

APPLE HEALTH

Import your cycle history, exercise, and sleep data to seed predictions on day one. pum doesn't need months of new logging to start being useful.

IF YOU SUSPECT ENDO

You don't need a diagnosis to start. Clinical guidelines — including the UK's NICE guideline for endometriosis — recommend keeping a pain and symptom diary to aid discussions with your doctor. That is exactly what pum is built to be. pum doesn't diagnose and isn't a medical device; it makes sure that what you've been living through is on the record, in a form a doctor can't wave away.

YOUR DATA, YOUR AI

pum has no chatbot, no AI middleman. Instead, it exports your data in a paste-ready format for the AI of your choice — Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, whoever. Ask what changed before a flare. Compare difficult weeks to your baseline. Ask your AI to write a summary or doctor's report from your data, and walk into your next appointment prepared. Get a second opinion. Sanity-check what a clinician told you. You drive the conversation.

BUILT ON THE RESEARCH

pum's analysis is calibrated to clinical evidence on what actually modulates endo symptoms — sleep, cycle phase, exercise, medication. Each thing we ask you to log earns its place by the research.

BUILT FOR ONE, FIRST

pum was built by a solo developer with a mathematics background, for one woman with stage 4 endometriosis — on the bet that what genuinely helps one person with endo will help others. It's new to the App Store, shipping improvements almost daily, and shaped directly by the people who use it.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 3.2.1 — 2026-09-02

Fixed a crash that could hit when deleting an event, and hardened every screen that lists your data against the same fault. A small release that makes everything sturdier.

### 3.2.0 — 2026-08-21

Pum now has a feedback line built in. open your You page, tap feedback, and say what's working, what isn't, or what you wish pum did. it's anonymous unless you add an email for a reply. Every message is read by the person who builds pum.

Also in this update: the first time pum opens after an App Store install, it sends one anonymous "opened" signal, so we know how many downloads become real users. No health data, no identifier, just a count. The privacy policy at pum.me covers it in full.

### 3.1.1 — 2026-07-30

A small update — you can now rate pum from settings → about, whenever you feel like saying something.

### 3.1.0 — 2026-07-25

Pum now reads combined birth control correctly. Withdrawal bleeds are labelled as you log them and kept out of your cycle statistics — so the picture underneath stays true — and your pill schedule now carries a soft estimate of your next break-week bleed.
Also in this release: a new app icon, clearer answers when a quiet cycle reaches the edge of Pum's estimate, a smoother Apple Health setup, and predictions that adapt faster when your rhythm shifts.

### 3.0.0 — 2026-07-20

No release notes.
