It’s nice to use to track my output, however I was they didn’t make you track the output by .25 increments. I was I could just flat out put how much I actually pump in each cup ### 3/5 — Elvie double *2026-07-03, version 1.33.0* Has great suction and I love being able to control things through my phone! However, the only downside to this pump is the amount of parts you need to clean. If the connection is lost you aren’t able to input your ounces on most occasions. It would be great if you could add entries manually for these types of situations. ### 3/5 — App leaves a lot to be desired *2026-03-03, version 1.33.0* I really wish Elvie would listen to the many customer reviews and update their app. The app doesn’t actually sent any notifications and it would be helpful for pumping reminders or when the pump is full. There’s also quite a lag when doing the functions on the app that sometimes it’s faster to press the buttons on the pump itself (pause/start, suction level, etc). Also a pain to have to connect the pumps every time and press start even if you’ve already started pumping. I’ve found the measurements to be way off and have to adjust them after every single pump. I wish the app would tell you how much actual battery life is left (either a percentage or estimated time) other than just a very small icon because I feel like I’m charging it quite often and not sure if I need to. However once a week it logs me out and then doesn’t accept my credentials. Eventually it resets itself and works fine. It’s more of a convenience but I’m sure there are other mothers who use the app in more ways than I do and when they cannot use the app, I’m sure it can be more frustrating for them. ### 2/5 — Requires too many clicks *2025-12-15, version 1.33.0* I need to click multiple times to enter session details which is frustrating ### 4/5 — Good but outdated *2025-09-10, version 1.33.0* This app syncs easily to the pump once connected and each time the pump is turned on you can track the time spent pumping and log output. However, the alert for a timer send a notification to your phone but regardless of your phone settings it will not actually alert the device with sound or by even lighting up when the notification comes thru, very pointless setting since it doesn't actually alert you. I always wish to track time and stop pumping after x min but I can only do so by setting an external timer on my phone or checking the time within the app. ### 2/5 — App keeps crashing for over a week at a time *2025-09-06, version 1.33.0* I thought the app was okay, not extremely useful but I used it to check how long I’ve been using my pump because there’s no timer on it. It used to automatically shut off after thirty minutes but since using the app it regularly will go 45+ plus without shutting off. Lately there has been several instances of over a week at a time that the app is completely down, saying “an error occurred.” I try all of supports suggestions and they refuse to acknowledge it’s the apps problem. Completely useless. It’s currently been six days since I’ve been able to log in and is a massive inconvenience. ### 3/5 — Needs larger font for ounces pumped *2025-09-04, version 1.33.0* The app is very functional except one change could make a huge difference. PLEASE make the font for how much milk is pumped larger. You’ve got the time huge in the middle. You think these are going great because you’ve been pumping so long only to realize you’ve pumped .25 oz. If I were able to see the quantity pumped better (hello I’m sleep deprived and pumping in low-light conditions in the middle of the night), I’d realize something isn’t right. Just reassembling the parts or adjusting nipple placement corrects the issue but by that time, I’ve wasted precious minutes where I could go back to sleep. ### 2/5 — Surprisingly Disapponting *2025-08-16, version 1.33.0* I have used the Elvie for 2 months now and am surprised for the price ($550) that the app has as many problems as it does. Firstly, the pumps disconnect from the app about 50% of the time I use it. When they disconnect, the amount of time I have been pumping disappears and you are unable to save the amount of time or milk you pumped. A secondary and related concern has to do with the fact that I am unable to save a manual pumping entry. This is necessary for when the pumps disconnect. Lastly, you are unable to edit the time pumped on an existing session (if you are lucky enough to finally get one past the pumping stage). This is necessary for when the session fails. To get around these issues I’ll typically start a fake session, finish it, and mark the milk I had pumped so that it will save. Unfortunately, the amount of time will be incorrect (ex: 5 seconds instead of 15 minutes). Regardless, I know my data of total quantity pumped is skewed because I haven’t had the energy to follow this step when I pump in the middle of the night. These features all greatly disappoint me, especially given the hefty price point. I wish I bought a different wearable pump for less than half the price with better reviews. I have this review 2 stars instead of 1 because I do like the dashboard that shows the pumping stats and articles linked for advice. ### 2/5 — Great pump! Terrible app *2025-08-06, version 1.33.0* The pump is great! So discreet and very well made. Well worth the money. However, the app has pretty bad user experience. The buttons are not uniform in style making it hard to figure out where to click. Also, changing between pumping styles doesn’t seem to result in any change to suction strength or rhythm . Always starts at a 5 and that’s painful. Not a well designed app! ### 4/5 — It’s been really good *2025-06-13, version 1.33.0* I’ve only had 2 pumps this brand and the lanisinoh discreet and I will say I prefer the Evie. The app has made it really easy to track how much I pump per session and totaling everything for the day. Compared to the other I will say this has better suction and it’s really convenient being able to change those settings on the app and the motor itself. In my experience it works best when fully charged it does feel like the suction isn’t as good when it’s at half battery life so I always have it at a full charge before use which is a little tedious when out and about but I love it when I’m moving around in the house. ### 4/5 — Very Convenient *2025-05-08, version 1.33.0* I love that I can control my pump with my phone! Super nice and adds to the discreet nature not having to lift my shirt to change the settings. The sensors for how much milk has been pumped is ALWAYS wrong. But not sure that’s an app thing or a pump thing. Just annoying. But overall it’s a great app! ### 2/5 — Great when it works *2025-05-03, version 1.33.0* The app is great when it works, but it randomly kicked me out yesterday and every time I try to log in it says something went wrong, try again later. I’ve tried probably at least 30 times in the last 36 hours. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled, changed my password and logged in in a browser, restarted my phone, and still can’t get the app to work. It’s super frustrating since you can’t see any data without the app. Hoping they come up with a fix soon!! ### 3/5 — Ok not great *2025-04-23, version 1.33.0* I think the app is ok for tracking your pump sessions. The only issue I have is that if you take too long to empty the pump in order to put down the amount in the app, the machine turns off. If the machine turns off then there’s a chance you’ve lost the ability to input the entry. Sometimes it’s gone forever and sometimes if you press play quick enough to allow the machine to run a bit it will pick up the original time you started. it’ll say it was a new pump session sometimes but once you input the information the time stamped will sometimes go back to the original time. It would be nice if the app allowed you to input entries manually for when this happens. ### 3/5 — Great app but buggy *2025-04-17, version 1.33.0* I’m on my second journey of pumping and using only Elvie pumps. This time around the app has a couple regular glitches that make it annoying. 1. Every few days the app signs me out and then times out when I try to log back in. It could be like this for one day, or sometimes up to three (like today). This stinks because then I lose pumping data during that down time. Also makes it hard to know the pumps’ battery life. 2. Randomly the app updates and inflates a session’s quantity. I notice this because it’ll add like 100 extra mLs to one side’s pump total, an amount I never get close to. I had kept track separately in a note and confirmed this. There’s no rhyme to when and how much it changes though. Fix these issues and you have a 5-star app! ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Terrible *2026-02-23, version 1.33.0* The Elvie pumps themselves are functional, however, the app needs major improvement. Regardless of how many ounces I chart per session, the app changes the amount! This is completely absurd. I can’t accurately keep track of how many ounces I’m pumping without having to write it down separately. You’re also unable to add sessions that were missed due to the app freezing after pumping and not adding the session! ### 1/5 — Faulty Product *2025-08-02, version 1.33.0* Purchase for my wife and one of the two stopped working after one pregnancy with minimal use, contacted Elvie and they advised they have nothing they can do to help except spend another $550! Outrageous and terrible that they cannot even back up their own product, 10/10 do not recommend. ### 1/5 — Kicks me out *2025-07-18, version 1.33.0* It was helpful at first but now it kicks me out of the app every time I open it. The app is so frustrating. The timer is not even accurate - I’ll pump for 30 minutes and it will say it’s only been 27. Too often I go to open the app and can’t log in because it timed out, so then I have no idea how long I’ve been pumping. Glad my kid is 9 months and I won’t have to deal with this much longer. Nothing. The pumps won’t connect at all anymore. It’s beyond frustrating because while you can technically still use the pumps, you’re completely in the dark. You have no idea what mode you’re in, what suction level you’re using, it completely defeats the purpose of having a “smart” pump. I relied on this system because I liked the discreet, wearable concept, but what’s the point if the app which controls everything simply doesn’t work? For the price of this pump, this level of app instability is unacceptable. I’ve wasted so much time trying to troubleshoot and reconnect, and based on other reviews, it’s clear I’m not the only one. If Elvie doesn’t fix this fast, they’re going to lose a lot of loyal customers. ### 1/5 — Liked it until the app crashed *2025-03-26, version 1.33.0* I’ve had this pump for less than a week. Go to use it when I’m engorged in the middle of the night & the app has kicked me out & wont let me log back in. “Something went wrong. Try again.” I know my username & password are correct. I JUST made the account. Deleted the app & reset my phone. Still nothing & they’ve made it pretty impossible to get ahold of them to hopefully fix the issue. Can’t even report it on the App Store thus why I’m leaving the review. The app when it does work is GREAT. But it should work 100% of the time when I spent almost $300 on the pump itself. ### 1/5 — Cannot login and use most basic functions *2025-03-25, version 1.33.0* I have been unable to log in to my account. It just says error. I’ve reset my password. When I contacted support their solution was to ask me if I can use a different phone. Who has multiple cell phones? The set up screens are awful. Whoever designed the interface e for this app should be fired. It’s not intuitive. And it’s literally impossible to use. ### 1/5 — App no longer connects to older pumps - Money grab *2025-01-04, version 1.33.0* I’ve had my pump for about 10 months since my son was 3 months old. It had worked just fine and then they asked us to do an “upgrade” on each pump over the last two weeks. Now neither pump connects to the app and there is no way to see how long you have been pumping without the app like other pumps. I’m still using these disconnected from the app because they were over $500, but it’s pretty disappointing that in less than a year the company would release updates to cause older pump models not to work. Given how expensive they were, you would expect the tech to keep working for at least 2-3 years. I had one in 2022 and bought the Elvie Stride 2 this year! The app is super helpful! I love that it logs my ounces pumped, and session times so I can keep up with my pumping schedule and output! It is also very helpful that I can control the pump from my phone so I don’t have to always utilize the pump! Le produit est très bien conçu et pensé c’est un petit bijou d’ingénieurerie j’en suis extrêmement satisfaite. L’application rend le tirage très pratique car on peut suivre le temps de tirage, l’intensité et mettre un minuteur, suivre les horaires de tirages pour voir les moments les plus propices puis voir l’évolution de sa lactation avec l’augmentation des volumes tirés c’est très satisfaisant et encourageant pour la maman !
