## What is Punk Racer?

PUNKRACER is a low-poly, neon-stylised anti-grav pod racer. Drop onto a starting grid of 8 racers, nail a rocket start as the lights drop, then steer, boost, drift and slipstream your way to the front of the pack.

RACE SIX TRACKS
Neon Canyon, Frostline, Magma Run, Skyloop, the deep-space Voidline gauntlet, and Neon City — a cyberpunk downtown of towering skyscrapers, traffic and crowds.

MASTER THE MOVES
• Hold boost through the countdown for a rocket start
• Drift through corners to charge a mini-turbo
• Slipstream behind rivals and skim past for near-miss boosts
• Tilt onto your side to squeeze through tight gaps
• Three camera angles, a live minimap and a slick HUD

BUILD YOUR ROVER
• Earn GCRED by finishing races
• Buy and equip distinct chassis and neon paint in the Garage

PLAY YOUR WAY
• Solo against personality-driven AI, or real-time multiplayer matchmaking

- 7 chapters of an original cyberpunk desperation story — Vex Sero racing her way out of Lower Spire. Each chapter has its own blurb, story lines, objective panel and reward.
- Win → advance + unlock the next rover (Dart → Titan → Vortex → Phantom) or skin, plus GCRED
- Lose → retry from the chapter card

Ranked + ELO

- 18-tier ladder Bronze III → Legend (shared/ranks.js), each with its own colour
- Skill-based matchmaking: bracket starts at ±150 ELO, widens 100 per 10s waiting so a sparse queue still launches 
- Rank badges
- Compact tier-coloured chip rendered in the userbar, queue rows, and ranked results
