This is awesome 👍 my dog saidie has been doing a lot better, this app is amazing 😍🤩

### 5/5 — A

*2026-07-02, version 7.2.1*

The app is amazing my dog knows lots of tricks now

### 5/5 — Best dog trick training app EVER!!!

*2026-06-28, version 7.2.1*

So good!! Easy to understand instructions, great for dogs, so fun! The only thing that is annoying about it is the subscription fees… I want to do just the tricks for free, my dog already knows the other stuff. But the tricks are what I really want 🙂. So if you could maybe change it so the tricks are free, that would be GREAT!!!! Otherwise best dog training I’ve ever used!!!

### 4/5 — We want to learn more tricks without paying

*2026-06-21, version 7.2.1*

I love this app! I follow the steps and my dog understands the assignment.
But I wish we can learn more without paying. Thank you!

### 5/5 — Bland now

*2026-06-19, version 7.2.1*

The app used to be soo good
It’s Bland now
Everyone who had Puppr for a while
Knew that after they took away community
The app itself went down hill
It’s a good app
But nobody wants to go on there anymore
Not even for the tricks
Because the owners took away everyone’s favorite thing
Just because a few people didn’t listen
So for me
I only did this 5 stars so everyone can see
Even if you do get this app
Remember that it used to be better and more fun
But now it’s bland and boring

BRING BACK COMMUNITY!

TBH I wanted to leave several times but the friends I made on there was the only thing that kept me on
Just so o can check and see
How they and they’re amazing dogs are doing

### 5/5 — Amazing

*2026-06-19, version 7.2.1*

Helping my dog to not bite

### 5/5 — Phenomenal!

*2026-06-12, version 7.2.1*

When I decided to train my baby Suki into sitting, it didn’t work for the first time. But, with enough patience, you can make progress. She knows how to sit whenever I give her a treat or tell her to. Thanks!

### 5/5 — AMAZING

*2026-06-07, version 7.2.1*

10/10 recommend this my dog has learned so many more tricks and I have had to chance to share my dogs journey in a special safe way also amazing lessons you have to pay for some but not many you can also vote for free trick of the week!!! Also I do have to add I would love to have the community back I have noticed that it has been removed from the social thing I think it would be great to add and also maybe a chat feature so other people can give feedback and say nice things about your dogs! I hope you put this into consideration. Anyways puper has amazing step by step guides to tricks and behaviour

### 5/5 — Recommend

*2026-05-24, version 7.2*

Really good app to help your dog learn a lot of new tricks and get trained and it’s super easy I recommend this app!

### 5/5 — Amazing

*2026-05-06, version 7.1*

Cleao has mastered some things and the app amazing 🤩🤩🤩🤩🎉🎉🎉

### 5/5 — Worth it!

*2026-05-06, version 7.1*

I’m impressed with the clarity and organization of the lessons during the phases of puppy development. The videos and step-by-step explanations are fantastic! I found the app when my pup was already 7 months old, and I wish I had found it earlier! The lessons are valuable and super helpful! I love being able to do them at home and at my own pace. I even sent a message to the trainers and got a great response pretty quickly! I’m recommending this app to all of my friends who have new pups and enjoy training them themselves! I bought the yearly subscription and access to the additional content has been so worth it!

### 5/5 — Amazing

*2026-04-26, version 7.1*

This app helped both me and my two dogs get closer, I recently got a new puppy and she's already doing awesome! My older dog Luna is very smart and if it weren't for this app, all she'd know is to sit! Awesome app overall but they definitely need to add comments and community pictures back
The moderators completely gave up lol.

### 4/5 — love this app sm, bring back comments and community

*2026-04-17, version 7.1*

the devs haven't worked on this game in SO long; great for puppy training and adult dog training, very pay to learn and more than half of the tricks are locked for premium. i love the photo challenge but where did comments and community go?!! all the dogs on here are so talented though. surprisingly, they let you have more than 1 dog! devs dont quit this app!! great great great app ❤️

### 5/5 — GET THIS APP!

*2026-03-29, version 7.1*

Love this app! The tricks are so helpful! Ive had this app for over 3 years now! BUT PUPPR #BRINGCOMMUNITYBACK!
Only real ones know

### 4/5 — Bring back community please

*2026-03-28, version 7.1*

I love this app the only thing is is that it’s plain. All the people who have puppr all agree that we need to bring it back. I really want to talk to other people who like training their dogs just as much as me.

#BRING BACK COMMUNITY

#BRING BACK COMMUNITY PLEASE🙏😁

### 5/5 — Good Training App

*2026-03-24, version 7.1*

Had good success with the app for my pups.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — wtf

*2026-04-13, version 7.1*

you literally have to pay for life-saving lessons and you can’t even communicate with people anymore. this app used to be all about connection and communication. bring it back.

### 1/5 — Very expensive for what it is

*2026-04-03, version 7.1*

This app has a handful of very brief videos and basic tutorials, all of which are readily available elsewhere for free. $14/month is outrageous, especially since half the content is advertisements to purchase their branded goods. It’s bewildering it has the rating it does.

### 1/5 — Decent however the trainer service could be HIGHLY better if you actually had respectful people

*2026-03-22, version 7.1*

At first I liked this app, the tricks are great and basically everything however the key takeaway is the “talk too a professional trainer”
knowing what I know now it was highly disrespectful. Here’s the story of why I gave and will not recommend this app

I used the chat too a trainer tool and got advice however I repeatedly told the trainer in the chat of who I genuinely asked for help with my traumatized dog, however the trainer insisted on kenneling him disregarding his genuine fear, he is a rescue and the kennel absolutely terrifies my poor baby too a huge panic attack, we don’t use the kennel but I hoped maybe there was a way too gently get him too like it slowly, but explaining this the trainer acted as if it was our fault he wasn’t “trained” too like the kennel, mind you I tried everything too gently introduce him, but it still makes him hide and freak out, usually coming too me for safety, the trainer lady said it was something “every” dog should know in case of emergency which I understand however my dog is genuinely traumatized from whatever happened too him in the past.

And NO I will not be returning nor recommending this too anyone, she made us feel absolutely horrible, and blamed our dog for having issues with his “manners” of which is not the case and he is a absolute gem at his obedience, but this is a actual fear that I’ve worked on since we got him, not only did she belittle us but blamed my training and my DOG for his past.

### 1/5 — Idk why but it won’t download

*2026-02-15, version 7.1*

It won’t download

### 1/5 — Disappointed

*2025-06-10, version 7.0.4*

I thought this app would be organized and helpful. I completely regret spending money on this, we have literally learned nothing from this experience

### 1/5 — Louie

*2025-05-08, version 7.0.3*

This app used to be very fun and I loved hoping on the app to train my dog and post adorable photos of him but then they took commenting and community post away leaving everyone to leave just want to say I’m probably going to delete the app because now it is no fun to watch as I lost all of my Puppr pals and friendships.😭

### 1/5 — No

*2025-03-31, version 7.0.1*

Was banned for something that is not a rule and not my fault

### 1/5 — No refunds super basic

*2025-03-06, version 7.0*

The app is super basic YouTube style training and has no refund. No advanced content for barking or reactivity

### 1/5 — unethical training methods

*2025-02-22, version 7.0*

developers follow and support cesar millan and support abusive and outdated methods like the alpha theory. i’ve loved puppr for a long time and loves sara carson but this is unacceptable

### 1/5 — It’s great!

*2025-02-02, version 7.0*

I love this app, love everyone’s support and all the new cool tricks you can learn with ur pup is absolutely amazing highly recommend this app!

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — By far, AWESOME!

*2026-08-23, version 7.3.1*

My dog used to dread going to the basement, but now that we’ve been training just about everyday for almost 2 months, I think it’s safe to say she loves it! It’s a great app for puppies and dogs, it even tells you what is safe and what’s not good for puppies. The only in app payment is puppr premium, I’m not arguing because we have a wide variety of things! They also have a shop where you can buy treats, training equipment, merchandise, etc.

My absolute favorite part is sharing pictures! Everytime your dog masters a trick, they can choose to upload a picture of their dog, people can give them bones (likes) and comment on their post! You can even friend other dogs on the app! This is one of my favorite ways to bond with my dog and I am so super grateful to have puppr in my life!

### 5/5 — Great for first dog owners

*2026-08-23, version 7.3.1*

I really enjoy this app. I haven’t had a puppy in years so this has helped a lot. I do think that there needs to be more socialization sections for young puppies. Especially, for future SDs or for people who want to take their dogs out to pet friendly places and doing activities of dog sports. Other than that this is the perfect app for pet owners.

### 5/5 — So far, so great!

*2026-08-15, version 7.2.1*

Have only been using this app for two weeks, but the transformation has been huge from the 8-week-old puppy I picked up to the 10-week-old puppy I have now. Love the videos that accompany each lesson, they make understanding the concept much easier. The 12-month puppy plan is a lifesaver!!

The only thing I feel is missing is getting to see this work done with actual puppies who don’t already know the moves and cues. Sometimes when my dog doesn’t get it, I’m a little unsure about where to go next.

### 5/5 — Great App for training

*2026-08-13, version 7.2.1*

I think this app will help a lot because it teaches you how to teach your dog to do things, and you can do fun challenges too!! Overall this is a great app

### 5/5 — I miss it

*2026-08-02, version 7.2.1*

I joined Puppr when it was an exciting, unique app. You could caption posts, comment on them, and there was a designated community section for photos of your dog that didn’t fit a certain trick category. It was a lot more fun to use back then, and people had formed a tight-knit community of friends who all helped one another out with training. There were even designated holiday post categories around the holidays, and special raffles where you’d post the reason you loved Puppr in the comments of a developer’s profile and had a chance to win Puppr merch. (I actually won one of these raffles, the letter I got in the mail from them is still on my desk.) Now that all of those community features were removed, the charm Puppr used to have is gone. What made Puppr stand out was that special community everyone had built, but now it’s just like any other dog training app, just with a subscription fee and doggy warmline. Certainly not a bad app, the old features of training are still there and have likely improved, but as I said before, the soul is gone. I really miss my old friends. (Sorry for the political title, I’m hoping for this review to be eye catching so that previous Puppr users considering re-download might see it and be better informed on its current state.) I love you Puppr, I’m just grieving what you used to be.

### 5/5 — amazing!

*2026-07-28, version 7.2.1*

this app has so many options to train your dog, and work no matter the age! my dog has become such a better listener and has really benefited!!

### 5/5 — Sugar loves it!

*2026-07-28, version 7.2.1*

Hello! I started training my dog Sugar, just a week ago! She has learned so many tricks! Me and my friends and Family are very proud of her. The best part about is that it doesn’t cost money (unless you use premium) there are NO ads, and it’s super easy and fun to use! I love being able to upload pictures of my girl and making new friends!

### 5/5 — I need the comments BACK NOW

*2026-07-07, version 7.2.1*

I really love the app and entering her into challenges, but I really want to comment back Please 🙏

### 5/5 — Great!

*2026-07-07, version 7.2.1*

Puppr is a great app! I used it with my late senior dog. She wasn’t very good with learning new tricks, but she learned shake hands— and that became her favorite trick.
We recently adopted a new puppy. I’m teaching her with Puppr and it’s going great! She already learned how to shake hands in one day.
I love the photo posting challenges so you can show off not only your dog but also great photography!

### 5/5 — I love this app

*2026-07-04, version 7.2.1*

I was looking for a training app to train my new puppy and then I found this app and it works so well so I definitely recommend it and the best part is after you train your dogs so you can see pictures of other dogs doing the trick that you just taught your dog and you can upload a picture of your dog too
