### 3/5 — Didn’t work - does now.

*2020-08-09, version 4.5*

I had this app. on my iPad (running iOS 12.4), it kept advising that there wasn’t a network connection (although it did work). Finally it stopped providing the list of stations (although it was streaming a station but I couldn’t select any other station). I reinstalled the app., after that it didn’t work at all - kept reporting no network connection. Very disappointed.

UPDATE The iPad is now at 13.3, I have downloaded the app. again and it is (currently) working. I don’t have Jongo speakers so can’t comment on the Jongo issues reported by others but the iPad does play the app. just fine through my stereo’s USB socket. Only three stars at this time (until the app. proves itself to be stable in the longer term - sometimes it reports that it does not have a network connection; although it is playing okay it could be that it is buffering and using the buffer cache to keep going).

Further update: There doesn’t seem to be any way of reporting ’wrong’ or missing stations, for instance selecting Angel Radio Isle of Wight gave a different station (I think it was Codesouth FM) and a station that opened a few months ago (I live just on the edge of the coverage area so cannot rely on my radio) is not listed.

### 1/5 — A Joke

*2020-05-30, version 4.5*

Totally amateurish.

There are numerous products which need to initialise a device on a network by establishing an initial adhoc connection yet Pure can’t make it work reliably on the Jongo A2.

Trying to set up an A2 is an absolute waste of time.

### 1/5 — Pathetic

*2020-04-04, version 4.5*

Useless app

### 2/5 — Used to be good :(

*2020-02-03, version 4.5*

I used to be able to set up my Avanti Flow using this app. Not any more. It’s just an internet radio app now, other apps have better features. Yeah, maybe the Jongo pairing is good, but might as well use Bluetooth. It’s a shame, I used to like this app.

### 1/5 — Pure is doomed

*2019-12-02, version 4.5*

It seems pure has been bought out a couple of years ago, and all support for older models has been dumped.
Classic case of a skinflint owner killing off a well respected brand.
Pure might as well hand the keys over to there competitors, as you don’t stand a chance if you behave like that

### 1/5 — No longer displays any radio station at all

*2019-09-26, version 4.5*

Had this app and Device for some years now, but for whatever reason no longer shows any country or radio station. Completely blank. Only station I can now play is the one I last logged onto.
Crap...

### 1/5 — From bad to worse!

*2019-09-25, version 4.5*

Just reopened app after not using for a month or so and I am actually shocked at how terrible it is now.
Pure Connect used to be excellent a couple of years ago, being able to play my music, podcasts, etc. stored on the phone or stream radio stations from all over the world. Then, it stopped working due to a change in iOS. When the app was ‘fixed’ a few months later, much of the functionality was lost but was still useful as a worldwide radio player.
Now, all that’s available is the station the app played when it was last used!
With such shoddy customer experience and support, I will NEVER BUY ANOTHER PURE SPEAKER. Which is a shame really, as the sound from Jongo S3X is excellent.

### 1/5 — Lost radio stations

*2019-09-22, version 4.5*

I purchased four speakers. Worked great for the first couple of months and used the DAB radio feature. However my phone has now lost all the stations. Tried to delete and reinstall. Very unhappy

### 1/5 — The radio stations have disappeared

*2019-09-13, version 4.5*

I use this app to stream radio across my multiple jongos using Wi-Fi.

The browse function for radio stations no longer works. What has happened?

It will still stream the last radio station I used, but can no longer change this station to anything else. So my jongos now only work listening to that single radio station.

### 1/5 — No more radio stations

*2019-09-01, version 4.5*

Have been using too lesson to the radio through my speakers.
Was really good as it ran through WiFi not blue tooth so could keep my phone on me,
I went to change station the other day and this is no longer available.
This makes the speakers Bluetooth only when listening to Spotify and alike.
Now you can only have one speaker on at a time.

Please sort this back out.

### 1/5 — Fails at the first hurdle

*2019-07-06, version 3.3.13*

Can't log in so can't set up devices. Useless app.

### 2/5 — Not the app Pure advertises

*2019-05-18, version 4.5*

On Pure’s web site there is a screen shot of the Connect app that looks completely different. There is also a how to save Favourites video on Pure’s YouTube channel and again, the app looks different. But how do we get the app they advertise? For what it’s worth this one does work, but doesn’t look to be as good as the advertised version

### 1/5 — Where are Favourites?

*2019-04-18, version 4.5*

Just bought a new ipad and so have gone from iOS 10 to iOS 12, which means I now have the latest App. Not impressed. I can't log in and access my existing favourites, and as far as I can see I can't even start to create a new local list of favourite stations. This is one huge step backwards. 4* to 1* immediately.

### 1/5 — Dreadful

*2019-04-09, version 4.5*

Unstable to the point of unusable!! Great sound from a speaker that needs so much messing about I’ve put it in a cupboard and bought a Sonos 😀 so much for supporting British very disappointed 😢😢😢

### 1/5 — Given up

*2019-02-02, version 4.5*

Very disappointed that Pure developed products got people to buy them then withdrew the products. Shame of a U.K. company to then not continue to support the products as this app no longer work as it did, I can no longer pair my devices as the app just wizzes around search for devices and can’t find them even though I have them on.

### 1/5 — Worst App Ever

*2018-12-31, version 4.5*

Never has an app been so unhelpful.

Trying to set up a speaker and failing consistently!!!

A little help on the app would be useful.

### 1/5 — Not impressed!

*2018-12-29, version 4.5*

We have two Jongo T6 speakers that have suddenly decided not to pair through the Pure Connect App. Apart from the fact that both speakers worked fairly well using the old app, but since the new app was introduced, we’ve had nothing but problems. Both speakers consistently drop the network and as for the updated Pure Connect, which in my opinion should be changed to ‘Pure Rubbish’ a more apt title.

We are so not impressed. Two expensive speakers that are not working as they should, so Pure, please sort it out, unless you willingly intend to lose more customers.

### 1/5 — Bad bad very bad

*2018-12-11, version 4.5*

Save your money and buy Sonos ! Very poor app drops out won’t work well with apple products, I have 3 pure speakers and they are only reliable on older apple devices like iPad 1/2 very disgusted that you buy a product with little or no support for the app :-( gutted !

### 1/5 — So far so nothing..

*2018-12-11, version 4.5*

Unable to achieve pairing ..did once appear to manage it when a couple of stuttery sounds came from one speaker in my system, but even that was a tease. This is seriously not good. Wish I hasn’t the Jongo.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Pure just moved on and sod everyone who bought Jongo

*2024-01-06, version 4.5*

Poor app even worse company they moved onto new speaker system and left everyone who invested in jongo speakers stuck with useless system.
Never buy from Pure look at decent companies like Sonos

### 1/5 — Pure Useless

*2023-06-08, version 4.5*

Scam, we are stuck with speakers that can only connect via Bluetooth and we can only listen to the music stored in either the phone or the iPad.
The option to listen to the live radio is gone.
I wish Pure do the decent thing and refund all customers.
Why try to compite in a very sophisticated and demanding market if the company is not up to it?
What a waste of time and money. Speakers will soon going to the bin.

### 1/5 — Outdated and now failing

*2023-05-13, version 4.5*

This app always looked really homemade but picked up some really good stations and I used it a lot. Recently all the station lists are missing. I uninstalled and reinstalled and now it cannot display any stations even the last one I used which previously at least it remembered. Now this app simply doesn’t do anything at all!

### 1/5 — One star because There isn’t a lower rating!

*2023-01-13, version 4.5*

I bought my Jongo speakers as they were advertised as pairing over Wi-Fi so the sound from each would be perfectly in sync. This was great initially but since Pure no longer support this app the speakers are rendered almost useless. I can link by Bluetooth to any individual speaker but it is no longer possible to use multiple speakers together as they were designed to do as the app no longer functions.
Pure obviously don’t care about existing customers and are only interested in selling new products. They don’t deserve to stay in business.

### 1/5 — Awful app

*2022-01-16, version 4.5*

Not fit for purpose, deleted after 5 minutes. Got a Pure speaker free with another purchase otherwise I’d never buy one

### 1/5 — Doesn’t turn off when the timer goes off:”stop playing”

*2021-12-17, version 4.5*

It would be nice if this app could function like the others and doesn’t turn off when the timer ends. I use this app to go to sleep and when I put a timer “stop playing” it doesn’t stop. On other devices it works but not on iOS. If that could change the app will be much better.

### 1/5 — Was a great company but now abandoned

*2021-10-24, version 4.5*

I have Pure Jongo T2 (x2), T4 (x1) & T6 (x2) around the house, They are great speakers especially the T6 (100watt speaker) the sound is amazing and they stay on standby so it’s easy to switch between them all, but am really surprised that the company have now abandoned them, no support whatsoever, not even the accessories to go with them like the stands etc (nowhere to be found).
The app too, used to be great, had radios stations etc you can program in and use via the speakers. Now they have obviously abandoned this too. Such a shame to see a great product being dumped like this.

### 1/5 — Customer loyalty

*2020-12-20, version 4.5*

Updates is looking as Pure has very interest in keeping the customer, how can I will recommend ? It is a brilliant system just need more to software care and attention.

I would agree with that statement 100% also may be the only possible way to force their hand would be to recommend that no one by any other option or product considering their customer care of their existing systems why would any sensible person put money into a system that doesn’t work

### 1/5 — Disastrously glitchy...

*2020-08-02, version 4.5*

Volume controls with a life of their own; connections lost, speaker pairs not pairing/dropping out....the list goes on and on. Should have spent the money and gone for the Sonos speakers as these are a false economy.

### 1/5 — Such a waste of money.

*2020-07-08, version 4.5*

Like most reviewers, I’m left with a bad taste in my mouth having spent a considerable chunk of money on speakers that simply don’t work as described.

The app is appalling. When you have a phone and Apple Music, you should just be able to stream whatever you want, rather than having to access you speakers through a clunky app.

As for multi-room, or pairing speakers to work in stereo, just forget it. Or at least be prepared to go through the whole setup procedure each time you want to use them, or when you want to use your phone when the previous time they were used was with a different device.

Even the Bluetooth option is haphazard, and the £9.99 speaker from the supermarket is quicker and easier to pair.

When they do work they sound nice, but I can safely say that I’ll never buy another Pure product. Ever.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Return to form!

*2018-04-29, version 4.3*

Thanks for the updates! Glad you didn’t leave us in the lurch with regards to iOS11!

### 5/5 — From zero to hero

*2018-04-25*

The long-awaited update and iOS 11 compatibility fix is really a complete re-launch. And what a change! I can search and play all of my favourite radio stations, easily play music from my sever and from my phone, and operation of the speakers themselves seems at the moment to be much less glitchy.
My only complaint (and it’s not a huge one) is that the app won’t play FLAC. Maybe soon?
Thanks, Pure. At last!

### 5/5 — Pure connect

*2017-11-21, version 3.3.13*

Pease update your app to be compatible with ios11. I miss not hearing your great app.

### 5/5 — Great app

*2012-04-08, version 2.0.10*

Very good and it has a lot of variety

### 5/5 — Nice

*2011-12-15*

Good app ..

### 4/5 — Better connection

*2018-05-29, version 4.3*

Guys ur last up date has bugs jongos volume can’t be controlled separately as it should I think the previous simpler version was much better no need for the radio stations

### 4/5 — Thanks Pure!

*2017-12-15, version 4.1*

The description clearly says, “more features coming soon,” so calm down.

Also, the Pure Select App seems like an improvement on the original Pure app’s radio features.

### 4/5 — A much needed upgrade gone well

*2012-08-31, version 2.0.266*

Even though it took ages for the network upgrade on my radio it seems the new features and connectivity is a success. Well done! Looking forward for further enhancements.

### 4/5 — First impressions are good

*2012-03-06, version 2.0.10*

Very good. One stop shop

### 3/5 — Country access issues

*2021-02-15, version 4.5*

I use this all the time, so I could keep up with politics in America, find unique stations in the UK and tune it to languages I am trying to learn.
I am however disappointed that Israeli radio stations have been removed, and I want to see a speedy return of Israeli radio stations to the app, so I can carry on my quest to learn modern Hebew!
