I have paired my highway dab receiver with my iPhone and can play recorded music and podcasts. The app insists that the highway is not paired and will not progress further than the setup screen. ### 1/5 — Expected so much but delivered nothing *2021-05-06, version 1.3.4* So I spent £140 buying and getting this fitted and just a massive waste of money. I was happier with a £5 cable rather than this. It can’t find any real DAB channels, the phone connectivity is poor and the app is so hard to use it’s just not worth the bother. ### 1/5 — Spotify Registrierung über Facebook nicht möglich *2020-12-22* Leider hat der Entwickler es versäumt eine scrollMöglichkeit in seiner App einzufügen. Eine Registrierung über Facebook hat zur Folge, dass ein langes Pop Up gezeigt wird, In dem die Cookies akzeptiert werden müssen. Leider ist das Pop-up länger als das Smartphone. Es kann nicht gescrollt werden, Cookies können nicht akzeptiert werden, somit geht es auch mit der Registrierung von Spotify in der App nicht weiter. Makes this completely obsolete. ????? ### 1/5 — It HACKS music apps *2020-07-13, version 1.3.4* I have IPhone 11, connected to the device while playing Apple Music suddenly It shut my music off the device displayed Spotify not enabled, tried to play my music in the house couldn’t play a song till the next day, turned the car on again same thing happened. I purchase this equipment to stream music as it said on the box, they have no right to use the apps on my phone by restricting operation as I have paid for the licence agreement for my apps, as I can see on here Pure initially stopped the keyboard from working so to get round it they hack your music app without agreement. A complaint will be made to each app as I will be entitled to be compensated and it will be up to Pure to sort out any legal Apple and so on. I they gave me this free I would send it back, a complaint will also be going to Halfords about this product and the licence agreements it breaks. Also I have noticed that there is not one good review here and no explanation by Pure has been given in response. The conclusion review is I wouldn’t even bother buying this product it HIJACKS your phone. ### 1/5 — Erm where’s my keyboard? *2020-04-08, version 1.3.4* As with others installed the app to finish setting up my highway 600. The app disabled the phone keyboard making your phone unusable. You can use the unit without the app so I removed it! Won’t be tempted again until this issue is sorted. ### 1/5 — Particularly poor *2020-03-22, version 1.3.4* The Highway is a great product but this app is poor, I read the bad reviews & still downloaded it, finally got it to ‘work’ but it doesn’t add anything & is unreliable, I hope that Pure will read these reviews and take them seriously. V.poor Pure *2020-02-16, version 1.3.4* Device (head unit) is fine used independently of App. The app simply doesn’t deliver. Spotify with premium doesn’t work despite going through all faqs. Deleted app and use iPhone Bluetooth to connect. It’s incredibly frustrating to use. It connects intermittently; DAB radio is ok but phone connections are random and it simply refuses to recognise my Spotify Premium account. I wasn’t expecting the same level of accuracy that I get with a built-in media centre, but really, this is unacceptably poor. It's great - I can now listen to digital radio in my car and when I like a song, I just press a button in the Pure controller to get it added to my Spotify account. I can also control Spotify from the same controller. The controller is wireless so I don't need to have access to my phone or wires running across the dashboard to make it all work. Great! ### 4/5 — Is this still being maintained? *2024-02-03, version 1.3.4* Having constant crashes in iOS. Can’t get it to pair, it previously worked fine. Stopped working, tried to repair, didn’t work. Deleted app, tried to repair, also does not work. Not here to give a pish review, just want it to work again, as it was great when it worked. ### 3/5 — Can’t get it to work with YouTube anymore *2022-11-15, version 1.3.4* I recently bought a car that Came with the pure go app as the car was quite an old classic and the previous owner wanted to play his music via Bluetooth Took me a while to get connected Worked ok at first with Spotify and you tube Now it just won’t connect Please update your product ### 3/5 — Keyboard issue iPhone *2021-10-07, version 1.3.4* A big criticism of the app is the phone keyboard issue. There is a workaround which is to connect an external Bluetooth keyboard to your phone before opening the Pure app and use this which works fine. I used the one I connect to my iPad but assume any BT keyboard would work. Annoying but once you’ve linked your Spotify account in the app no further need for keyboard input as far as I can see.
