The new look is better, but the problem is that every few days you have to KEEP updating the app. The bio and everything deleted so i had to start fresh again and rewrite my bio. Some people haven’t even noticed so i’m here reading blank profiles.

I’ve used this app on and off. For starters compared to their competitors like muzz, this app definitely feels as close to having a more serious marriage tone. The focus is on comparability rather than attraction where images are by default not the main topic but are revealed at any time. The feature for wali good amount of filters are great too. A lot more people here are serious about marriage as opposed to hooking up as a result of the setup.

My complaints:

1) lack of profiles. There are many profiles yes, but a good amount are inactive and there seems to not be as many new users coming in on the sisters side, making some countries and searching for the right wife a bit more challenging. This is even more challenging when you have specific needs like Niqabi within a certain country etc. advertisement campaigns would be great.

2) As of recent, they’ve changed the membership’s. You now have a limited amount of searches and conversation starters. In theory this sounds ok. But when you have 30 and you send 25 and 3 reply and few don’t while majority are inactive, this feels unfair and predatory.  The recharges aren’t cheap and doesn’t guarantee these are active users. If you want to maximise cashflow, focus on doing ad campaigns, social media in a halal way. Many new services have had success like this so there isn’t an excuse here in my opinion. Ultimately I feel the memberships should reflect a fair structure to the nature and economy of the app. 

I express these opinions as I see great potential in the app and believe it could be much better if the above are looked into, implemented and there’s more success as halal marriage services spread with success reputation too. 

An option for salafi would be a bonus too as some sisters to explicitly state this and madhabs are included but that’s not a must and falls into sunni anyways

Asc I have had this account on this app for years and years now. I’ve had the premium account and the free account and now the website is gone and there’s only this app. Which would be fine except I can no longer filter for family and lifestyle. I don’t want any children and I don’t wanna waste time looking at men’s profile who want children yet I have to pay for an account to do that when that’s not how it used to be?? that’s so ridiculous. You guys are forcing me to waste my time when this feature used to come standard with an account. May Allah guide yall.

Firstly, regarding the desktop access, the website is still fully available. You can log in and use it through a desktop or laptop without any issue. If you try accessing the website through a mobile browser, it will automatically redirect you to download the app. This is standard across most platforms today to ensure a smoother mobile experience. That said, we’ve intentionally continued offering a desktop version, which many platforms no longer support, so you still have the flexibility to use whichever format works best for you.

With regards to the filtering features, including family and lifestyle preferences, we understand your concern. These features are still available; however, some of them now fall under premium access once the free usage limit has been exhausted. This change has been introduced to help maintain the overall quality and seriousness of the platform, ensuring that users who are actively engaging are more intentional in their search. The aim here is not to make things difficult, but rather to create a more focused and meaningful experience for everyone using the platform.

The new layout looks fantastic and is a clear improvement visually. However, despite the redesign, the app has completely lost its appeal.

It feels like the company has misunderstood what makes a dating or marriage app work. There needs to be a reasonable number, not unlimited obviously, of free connections to keep users engaged and willing to continue. Without that, the experience becomes frustrating and limiting.

That said, the mufti menk “Simply Nikkah” approach is genuinely great for those looking for a halal alternative (giving you 5 free likes & 1 instant message per 24 hours) and trying to avoid haram relationships, apps such as Muzz & Salaams are the worsts of haraam out there. This platform had strong potential and attracted people with better intentions and more honesty compared to others.

Unfortunately, in its current state, the app feels almost unusable. It is a real shame because it once stood out as a meaningful alternative for those seeking something more sincere.

To be honest most people seem to be here window shopping and with no intention to get married so no big loss to now not using it.

Honestly, I avoid giving bad reviews because I genuinely wouldn’t gain anything from spreading negativity but this is just poor and bad behaviour in all honesty. Previously you could filter your searches or what you’re looking for ESPECIALLY ethnicity which is vital and now, that feature is gone. Please bring back the ethnicity search feature because it’s incredibly important. Some can’t marry outside their ethnicity so removing that feature is counter productive.

This app seems to have been made to imitate common dating apps. The emails are quite annoying, so I've sent them all to spam. Whenever I get on the app I am quickly inspired to get off it. I don't see profiles that are compatible with or interesting to me. I would like to filter out brothers of certain age and location for both those who can see me and those I can see. I would like to be able to delete messages and block profiles I'm not compatible with, the inbox is too cluttered.

Seems like the new development has binned off the purpose of the app & instead a way for the business to make money. Owners should be ashamed of themselves. You pay for a subscription that doesn’t even unlock any features, and on top of that they want you to pay more to use basic features, and put an unexplained limit to justify charging for features. What exactly concludes the limit if it seems like the only thing you can do even with a paid subscription is read and save profiles. It used to allow you to invite people for free, exchange albums with a premium subscription. But now you can’t do any of these even with a premium subscription. how on earth are people supposed to use this app. To top it off, the UI is broken. Absolute joke & scam from a Muslim owned app, charging people for a broken app & still not delivering/unlocking features after people have paid over £18. Their response to this review literally proves everything I’ve said. I’ve literally explained that once I had paid for premium it had already put a limit & locked all features before I could even use them. The fact that their app isn’t even functional in other areas/broken UI which I had already explained further proves my experience & other customer’s experiences is literally their fault yet they want to respond with pathetic excuses & suggesting that the customer doesn’t know how a basic product should work. Instead of apologising they make excuses & pass on complains to their non existent complaint team & never get back to you. Muslim businesses need to do better, what an absolute embarrassment & shock.

Our Premium plan does include the features you mentioned: unlimited profile invitations, album exchanges, and the ability to initiate conversations. These haven't been removed. However, there are monthly limits built into the plan. If you've been actively using the app, you may have reached those limits within your billing cycle. Once reset at the start of the next month, access should be restored automatically.
We do also offer add-on packages for Premium members if you need a little extra, such as additional messages or album exchanges, outside of your monthly allowance. These are separate from the free plan add-ons, which work differently.
That said, if you're finding that features still aren't working as expected and you haven't hit any limits, we'd want to look into it on our end straight away. Please get in touch with us at support@purematrimony.com with your registered email, and we'll check your account personally.

The app is good of itself and easy to navigate. The admins work pretty hard to filter the chaff from the wheat. A lot of accounts get flagged for the benefit of users and I believe that is a huge plus to prevent potential scammers. Without a subscription though the pool is smaller. I’m glad I found someone off the app and pray for all those looking to be blessed by Allah soon.
