### 1/5 — Unable to even to setup

*2025-07-11, version 1.2.4*

App screen does not display properly on phone. Stuck on goals screen where unable to click button as not visible. Seems like app was not tested very well. Basically app is not usable

### 1/5 — 0 Stars

*2025-01-25, version 1.2.2*

Easily the worst app I’ve ever seen. I wish I could include screenshots. You can’t get past the onboarding for the off screen, required, fields. Devs never tested functionality on a mobile device.

### 1/5 — Not worth the Money

*2025-01-12, version 1.2.2*

The actual board is fine. But the app is garbage. Hasn’t been updated in months. There are a limited number of workouts. The tracking of workouts is horrible. In need of a major update

### 1/5 — App set up

*2025-01-02, version 1.2.2*

Can not get past step 3 as noted earlier on setting up the app. Screen locks and does not show the next button. Unable to get to work, useless

### 1/5 — Broken

*2024-12-29, version 1.2.2*

I am unable to progress past the first step I setup. After reading some reviews, I realize I am not the only one with this issue. This app is broken.

### 1/5 — What the heck?!?

*2024-12-22, version 1.2.2*

This app is horrible? I can’t even get past the verify email page! What’s the point?

### 2/5 — Board is Fine; App needs work

*2024-12-16, version 1.2.2*

I haven’t encountered anything with the physical Pure Plank itself. Wish I could say the same for the app. In order to get credit for the workout, you have to hit the right button in the right order. Simply watching a video will not give you credit. You have to click the play button of the video and then “Start Workout”. It doesn’t progress on its own and you have to select the workout each time you start, even if it’s multiple sets of the same exercise. A checkmark would be nice. Also, when you move to the next exercise using the forward/next button, it will just start playing the first video in the set again. That button is useless. Finally, I had issues with the calendar that logs your workouts. I have to click on the date directly to the right of the actual date I want to see. It doesn’t match where I’m pressing on the screen. Anyway, I’ve been trying to be consistent with the Pure Plank for two weeks now. You don’t need the app to make the most of it, but I wish it were more user friendly especially considering the price of the board.

### 1/5 — Well???

*2024-12-13, version 1.2.2*

It asked me for my name, which I put in …….. and there it sits. It’s been 20 minutes now, still nothing.

### 1/5 — Waste of $$

*2024-12-13, version 1.2.2*

Can’t sign up. Waste of $$

### 1/5 — Can’t sign up through app

*2024-11-09, version 1.2.2*

I try to sign up but never get the email to verify my account. So sadly I have to rate the app 1/5. Sorry

### 1/5 — Register

*2024-11-02, version 1.2.2*

I cant register! After i write my name, i cant proceed to the next page.

### 1/5 — Broken App

*2024-09-11, version 1.2.2*

Can’t get past the sign up step in the app

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Nuke it and start over

*2026-05-27, version 1.3.5*

I find the app to be completely useless. It doesn’t really tie in with anything useful either. The board rocks though, and I appreciate you guys for that!!

### 1/5 — Videos don’t work

*2026-05-10, version 1.3.5*

The app videos don’t work

### 1/5 — Great Product, Horrendous App

*2026-03-26, version 1.3.5*

I’ll mirror what other people have said - the app logs your workout time as the length of the tutorial video, despite telling you to do something that takes much longer. If it tells you to do three 20 second sets, but the tutorial video is thirty seconds long? It logs you as working out for thirty seconds.

As for the workouts themselves, you get a list of exercises to do and then a prompt to start the workout. But you never get those instructions again, just the above mentioned tutorial videos.

Come on guys, this is basic stuff. You should have product tested this, anyone would have called it out. The plank board itself is great and I’m loving using it. The app needs a LOT of work though.

### 1/5 — I can’t log in!

*2026-02-18, version 1.3.5*

I have an account, so I can’t register a new one with the same email, but the “Already have an account?” option is grayed out and inactive

### 1/5 — App is not good!

*2026-02-06, version 1.3.4*

This app is terrible designed. The latest update now crashes the app. Stop using cheap developers!

### 1/5 — App crashes

*2026-02-06, version 1.3.4*

Really love the product really love the exercises, except the app craps out all the time and will not open

### 1/5 — Sign up screen needs a lot of help

*2026-01-27, version 1.3.3*

I downloaded the app and I can’t even get through the sign up screen. If you tap a field and have to go back to make a change, the field is locked. Sometimes tapping around lets you type in the field again. The password fields don’t support automatic password generation, it only populates the “confirm password” field, but then both fields are locked out. I’ve tried to go through signup multiple times but can’t get through it. Hard to justify the cost of a Pure Plank board when you can’t even sign up in the app.

### 1/5 — The App is dreadful

*2025-12-23, version 1.3.2*

App does not work at all. Cannot even create an account to verify.

### 1/5 — App needs ALOT of work

*2025-08-14, version 1.2.4*

The board is great, the app is not. There should be people actually doing the workouts instead of just a tutorial of each movement. There is alot of potential for this app, Hopefully you guys at Pure Plank will listen.

### 1/5 — Board expensive but ok app is horrendous

*2025-07-25, version 1.2.4*

Board is ok and comfortable. App is horrendous. It has no user interface. I am unable to sign in.
The forgot password portion doesn’t sends a code to validate
You can’t see the box or move the screen.
It’s disappointing to say the least.
And that’s a shoot. For you wrestling fans you know that’s the real deal and not a work

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Unbelievable

*2024-12-28, version 1.2.2*

I love everything about this. I highly recommend it. Just got it a few days ago and already feeling a difference.

### 5/5 — Seems good so far

*2024-11-12, version 1.2.2*

Sign up was easy, email came in immediately. I was honestly waiting to see what the cost was but have yet to be asked for money which has caught me off guard. Looks like a lot of variety of workouts, it can’t make you do them but it certainly removes more excuses.

### 5/5 — Great Product and App

*2024-05-03, version 1.2.2*

I love how the app is designed and it makes using the Pure Plank fun and engaging. My core thanks you 💙

### 5/5 — Great workouts!

*2024-05-03, version 1.2.1*

I love my board so much and this app really helps enhance my routine! I am a new mom and was soooo happy to see all the postpartum workouts on there. Love the variety of routines and started seeing results after only one week!

### 4/5 — App needs improvements

*2026-01-09, version 1.3.3*

The board is fantastic but the app could use some updates like having longer videos to workout to instead of short 35 to 40 second clips

### 4/5 — So far so good… but music!

*2024-12-06, version 1.2.2*

Videos are helpful for form. But it’s disabling music from other apps when the videos launch. So I’m just watching the form videos then exiting rather than using as intended.

### 3/5 — App needs full videos

*2025-07-19, version 1.2.4*

The board is great, the app could use work. Don’t have 40 second videos of all the stretches. I need like a 15, 20, 25 or 30 minute full workout to follow along with. If they had those the app might be worth using to follow along but I’m not just going to log my time in here for no reason. Basically I’m ready to delete the app in the first week of having this but keeping the board for my planks.

### 2/5 — Identity Crisis

*2026-02-27, version 1.3.5*

So Pure Plank app, do you want to be a fitness tracker? Or a tutorial library? As it stands, you can’t be both.

The app tracks the time you’re working out by the duration of the tutorial you watch, which is not accurate since the tutorials are under 40 seconds long. Meanwhile, the amount of time it takes you to do your sets/reps/rest could be as much as 90 seconds for the intermediate recommendation. So the app isn’t giving you the appropriate credit.

My current setup is using the provided timer and 2 devices - one for playing tutorials, the other displaying the recommended sets/reps/rest. Not ideal.

Quick solution: the tracker should keep the timer going even after the video is complete. Once the user completes their sets, they click a “workout complete” button and the timer stops and credits the user. Also, the recommended sets/reps/rest should always be visible during the tutorial and after the video ends, until the user clicks “next video.”

Wishlist solution: the user places their device at a distance and the app uses the front facing camera to display your posture superimposed with the tutorial, and the color changes (or audio signal for those that don’t want to watch the screen) based on the accuracy of your posture: Green for perfect posture, yellow for fair posture, red for poor posture. The app guides (and tracks) you through the recommended sets/reps/rest, tallying your total reps and your duration.

The Pure Plank board itself is great - sturdy, simple, easy to store, and doesn’t slide around. Hopefully the app becomes just as useful.

### 2/5 — Videos need some work!

*2025-12-08, version 1.3.2*

Would be helpful in future videos to have a signal that the end of a set is over, instead of just the three beeps when a set starts. It’s hard to watch the video to see where to stop while also doing the exercises. I would also appreciate in future videos to have some text on the screen during the rest time to tell me what the next exercise will be, so I can have time to rotate the board/move the handles/etc

### 2/5 — Tutorials

*2024-12-18, version 1.2.2*

I’ve used the tutorials a few times. I’ve only heard sound describing the workouts once. The tutorial videos don’t have sound.
