No progress has been made with the interface, which remains clunky. Some of the sounds are very nice, but…it’s a huge app. It falls over more than it should. The focus seems to be selling more add on packs. This is problematic ### 5/5 — Recomendo! *2023-11-26, version 2.5.30* Ótimo nível de qualidade nos simples e na interface que administra os timbres. Mesmo com um dispositivo antigo (2015) consigo combinar quatro timbres ao mesmo tempo com varias modulações. Infelizmente às vezes trava ao inserir camadas extras de efeito (como reverbs, chorus etc.). Mas fora isso, funciona muito bem! Dá pra fazer banhos de programação, deixar tudo pronto para performance ao vivo. Tudo isso com latência a 5.8 ms. Os produtores estão de parabéns! Possui centenas de timbres. Nem todos possuem qualidade excepcional, obviamente. Mas a maioria que uso funciona muito bem pra mim, e olha que uso bastante. Peço aos desenvolvedores que corrijam um bug que às vezes faz com que os simples (Factory Content) aparentem estar indisponíveis, sendo que estão todos no dispositivo baixados. Isso me atrapalhou em duas apresentações que tive. ### 5/5 — Pristine sounds, caring service *2023-11-14* As an owner of several hardware synths—the pride of which is my 16-voice Prophet Rev 2 (and a ton of other instruments), along with many Arturia MIDI controllers that I run through various software on my MacBook, I have recently stepped into the realm of AUM and IOS apps for public performance. Enter Pure Synth®️ Platinum. Incredibly sculpted sounds, logical and clear user interface, and swift technical assistance. I had a slight problem I couldn’t figure out, and with a bit of a time constraint. They responded immediately, took care of my problem, and now I am back to recording the song under composition. Highly recommended. ### 5/5 — Among the best Romplers/Synths for iOS *2023-11-14* Pure Synth has the greatest expansions. And there wavetable import is just amazing. Among the expansions you get all kinds of different Wavetables. For every expansion you have, you can use the Wavetables that come with it with other expansion Wavetables. This is really great thing to have for a synth. Pure Synth is among my Top 5 apps ### 1/5 — Unbelievably bloated trash for no reason *2023-11-04, version 2.5.27* Update, Aug-23. Downloaded to see if I might forgive this dated junk because of the SY85 samples they’ve now released to iPad. Nope, not purchasing, an in app purchase of a classic synth isn’t worth the frustration of dealing with rubbish. Not a chance This app is 3.5gb in size, 90s workstations working on less than 1% of the sample size still sound far better than this. Here’s the thing, 3.5gb of samples and yet nothing sounds like the instruments they’re supposed to be. There’s better free iOS synths out there than this trash Constant updates resulting in a full 3.5gb download, which basically says all you need to know about the developer, they’re not programming effectively. The effects rack seems to be the only real positive to this, and that can be bought as a standalone, grab that, forget this crap, soon got deleted. ### 5/5 — Outstanding iOS rompler app especially for MIDI guitar players *2023-10-25, version 2.5.27* I wrote two earlier reviews, well composed and written with professional intent, yet they are possibly deliberately deleted from the review database by Apple. This is my third time trying to post a review. Midiculous LLc is Jamal from Gospel Musicians and his outstanding dev team who made this app. The sample quality throws everything else out of the park. The upright piano samples are great and convincing. I relish the trumpet sounds and horn patches as well. If you want to transcribe and play Jazz, Neo Soul and other such invoked genres this app is staple for all purposes. Your Sunday church music team can put this to good use as well. I was initially a bit confused with the downloading model but it all got cleared up immediately. 5 stars from me. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — The App is constantly crashing *2026-06-18* The app keeps crashing rather it’s in stand alone or in AuM assigned to a midi. There are buttons labeled "Requires Download" and when I tapped on these, there was a message telling me that "samples are missing." I know of another musician I encountered on YouTube who said he had exactly the same problem. Wasn't this tested before putting it on the App Store?! ### 1/5 — In app purchase *2025-07-27* This app has brought me through lost of song services but is now acting up for me. I don’t know why this is happening but every time I use the app by its self on a sound the sound make a very high pitched sound in the background , I noticed the audio light on the app starts going from yellow to red and the sound drops out slowly. I need help with this situation this is my go to app. This is very disappointing. ### 1/5 — Bad sound quality *2025-06-11* This synth is nothing but disaster. From the moment I opened it I got nothing but trouble. The sound got distorted and harsh, the control is difficult to operate. I have never experienced such a horrible sounding device. The return was impossible. So I threw $20 to garbage can. Thank you apple for standing for your customer. I’ve used PSP at least once in just about every song I’ve produced over the last 3 years and in many of my live performances too. Reliable and of high quality. Presets sound great and the flexibility of the controls makes this ideal for both preset players and sound designers. Recently, I had reached out to the staff for some additional clarity surrounding one of their expansions; their response was quick, patient and consistent until we reached mutual satisfaction. I can’t recommend this company or their products enough. ### 5/5 — More than a Rompler! This is the One *2025-10-02* It’s hard to place high expectations on one app to do most of the things you need on this platform. But with its full featured design and expandable library, you really do get the best of the Gospel Musicians ecosystem in one app! The sound quality is desktop quality, warm, edgy, punchy and the IFX palette of sound effects is powerful. Split, layering, effects, user patches, and raw Sine, Saw, Triangle and Noise waves make this more than another rompler. You can do sound design with it too! Once you learn your way around the UI, it’s smooth sailing! ### 5/5 — Had Issues But Support to The Rescue *2025-03-08* I downloaded the Clarity Grand expansion pack and it wasn’t work like all my other expansion packs and products from Gospel Musicians. For some reason there was a (big) delay or no sound at all. I really like the demo and wanted this to work for me so I contacted support and BOY did they come through!! We exchanged a few emails until we got to the root of the issue. I’m glad I reached out! I’m glad support and I were patient with each other and I’m glad to see it resolved and it works just as well as all their other products! I also love the ability to crossgrade other libraries from this dev. This is extremely high quality. The new Yamaha editions are so awesome!! Absolutely tremendous!! If I could crossgrade the Neo-Soul Studio 2 libraries it would have everything and be the only romper I would ever need. Well, it already is, but it would be nice to be able to do that. I’ve had no issues running multiple instances in aum, logic, and cubasis . I also absolutely love the suitcase piano expansion and createmosphere. Trying to decide which one to get next ! These are breathtakingly beautiful samples in the iaps on an otherwise free synth and it’s very generous what is already offered free but very worth adding on more.
