### 5/5 — Perfect app for lists

*2022-01-05, version 1.11*

The best app you can get for making lists! Easy, efficient, no glitches, nothing complicated, JUST WHAT U NEED.

### 5/5 — Pure

*2021-12-26, version 1.11*

Great simple list

### 5/5 — i would pay

*2021-11-24*

very minimal and it’s good

**Developer response:** Thank you, olasexc.
Purelist is designed to be used for a long time with minimal features.
We hope Purelist will continue to serve you well.

### 5/5 — Purlist

*2021-11-07, version 1.10.4*

I love this app

### 5/5 — Does what it says on the tin

*2021-07-06, version 1.8*

It is purely lists, super simple and straightforward to use, not a bunch of stuff to learn.

It’s great because of its simplicity, you get titles and lists, pinned lists and archived lists… that’s pretty much it and I love it!

### 5/5 — Purelist

*2021-05-23, version 1.7*

Awesome

### 4/5 — Great app, a few things missing

*2021-01-24, version 1.0*

Overall clean and elegant bulleted note taking! Two challenges I have:
1. Not easy to export a list. Even with select all, the select highlight can’t move beyond one bullet, it is somehow blocked from selecting multiple bullets in same note.
2. When using a Bluetooth keyboard, I can’t move between bullets using keyboard arrow keys.

### 5/5 — Very clean design

*2021-01-21, version 1.0*

It does one thing but perfect.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Mobile good, mac app bad

*2024-02-29, version 23.6.0*

Was excited to learn there's a mac app, would make adding items to lists / schedules much easier. Unfortunately when you add stuff to the mac app it does not reliably sync to mobile app. Subscription cost = total ripoff

### 1/5 — poor

*2023-12-14, version 23.6.0*

lost everything with the accidentlal tap of a button

### 1/5 — Doesn’t sync

*2023-09-17, version 23.6.0*

Would be great if it would sync across devices

### 3/5 — Almost amazing

*2025-03-25, version 24.2.0*

Love how simple it is but the indent and outdent functionality is annoying (multiple taps to make simple changes to indented items). A swipe action setting could fix this quickly. Until then I’m going back to apple notes.

### 3/5 — Very good, but Mac app missing functionality!

*2024-05-28, version 23.6.0*

The app is great on mobile, but there is no way to collapse notes on the Mac! Neither to uncollapse! All notes are hidden on Mac!

### 3/5 — very good

*2022-12-13, version 22.12.1*

but does cost a furtune at least if you don't want to subscribe

### 3/5 — May be a little too simple.

*2022-05-20, version 22.4.0*

This is a very clean and tidy to do list. I like many things about it, but there are no recurring date features, which for me, and probably for most, makes it unusable as a to do app.

### 4/5 — Perfect other than one thing

*2025-08-01, version 24.5.0*

Love it, simple, easy. Pretty similar to Apple Notes app but good to separate out my to dos from other notes. However my intention after trying so many notes apps and deleting them all is to have a small/narrow and sticky list I can use almost as a widget / leave the window at the side of my screen or peeking out. The fact that I can’t make the width any smaller than the toolbar makes it far too wide and is really frustrating! The height is perfectly adjustable. I just want to close out both sidebars at will and make it as skinny as possible so I can use it as a quick reference on my day to day. Please update with this and it will be 5 stars easy !! <3 I have the free version but would upgrade to pro if this functionality was added for sure

Ps a small glitch ive caught is when shortening the width of the sidebar the line goes over the bin icon, I imagine thats a design flaw although it doesn’t bother me at all

### 4/5 — Near Perfect

*2024-12-17, version 24.5.0*

I think app almost nearly perfectly immitates a piece of paper for me. The only thing I feel like I need is a strick “note” element. The bullets are great for logging events and tasks. But I would like a non-bold text line with no bullet, just for notes. That would make this 100% for me. ;-)

### 4/5 — Well designed

*2023-01-16, version 22.12.2*

This app is very well designed and removes a lot of the clutter I see in many other apps. As of this writing, I paid for a yearly subscription to see how this might work for me and to see how the developers support their product. The 4-star rating is based on: the app works as advertised; the app is easy to use; the app does not collect data; it is very easy to export/share my data in a format that I can easily use (i.e. text). Features I would like to have: (1) option to enable or disable iCloud sync. (2) option to export/share all reminders. (3) option to set recurrence for an entire list. (4) option to export or share all lists as one text (for example to share all lists to an email as text or export them into 1 file instead of separate files). (5) ability to move items from one list to another list. (6) ability to easily move items up/down in the list. (7) ability to sort items alphabetically.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Just what I needed!

*2026-04-30, version 24.2.0*

I’ve tried loads of list apps, but most are way too cluttered. This one is refreshingly simple & does exactly what I need.

It’s super intuitive & easy to pick up. I love that it includes a starter list instead of a one-off tutorial, which you can go back to anytime & even play around with it, which makes learning the app feel natural.

Perfect if you just want to jot things down without all the extra fuss.

I upgraded to Pro as well, and it’s very reasonably priced, definitely worth it!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

### 5/5 — Fast , Clear and Efficient

*2025-04-15, version 24.5.0*

This reminds me of Slicktask back in blackberry days where capturing my thoughts clearly was faster than my thinking. The standout here is every task manager out there you can create one level of subtask. This helps breakdown as well as keep a clutter free view. Just amazing!

### 5/5 — A Must-Have Productivity Tool

*2024-12-10, version 24.2.0*

Purelist stands out from other apps for its attention to detail—every feature feels thoughtfully crafted. As a result, I find this the best app to manage to-do lists, notes, and breakdown larger projects, such as presentations and speaking, in a focused environment.

The team behind the app also deserves praise for their excellent customer support and commitment to continuous improvement. It speaks volumes about their values.

### 5/5 — Perfect

*2023-12-18, version 23.12.1*

This is the best minimal todo list I have found. The developer is actively improving it with updates. Not collecting data on its user makes it even better.

### 5/5 — simple & neat app

*2023-04-21, version 23.1.0*

I like this note taking app because it looks so nice and I am not overwhelmed by so many features. It is so easy to take notes. I use it to take notes for school. I think it would be great to have a folder to organize my notes by the different subjects or sections I have at school. That way it is more organized. It could be by tags 🏷️ or just with folders. These could be shown in the page that says Groups.

Thank you for your hard work 🐻‍❄️
Have a nice day.

### 5/5 — Love it! So simple

*2022-10-30, version 22.9.1*

I don’t typically write reviews but I had to rave about this one. Very simple to do lists with a clean user interface can be hard to find. This one hits the mark. I’ve never found one I liked as much as this. This one is not unnecessarily complicated it’s so simple and has every feature you need for a well-rounded and effective to do list. It’s everything I want in a to do list and I’m very happy I discovered this app! :)

### 5/5 — 🤩

*2022-09-17, version 22.8.1*

Really cool and simple app!

### 5/5 — Yes!

*2022-09-04, version 22.8.1*

I love this app! I'm tired for big, bulky apps that cost a fortune. Please keep this app working.

### 5/5 — Really good

*2022-04-22, version 22.4.0*

I like it a lot better than apple notes because of the nicer design. The reminders feature is great and works seamlessly within the notes, it'd be good if you could set reminders to repeat... then I wouldn't need to use the reminders app either.
Just a really clean interface and I like using it alot.

### 5/5 — Less is more.

*2022-02-23, version 1.13.1*

I never leave any recommendations for any app. I used many widget board sticky notes and todo list apps etc;… so far I am in love with this app. It’s simple. Neat. Easy to understand & make your daily task list todo’s and many more. Love it! Absolutely recommend it to those who got OCD like me when it comes to being organize and have my *hit Under control lol.
 5+ ❣️
