I created a guest list one time and it started the guest list over three times in numbering. Also, I wish that this could be connected to Google for an extra back up hard drive everything that I do on the app on my phone doesn’t always back up to my iPad automatically vice versa ### 4/5 — I’m trying to add another notebook but is doesn’t seem to work! *2023-03-24* I’m learning about immigration from all over the world and why the migrated there. I also just started a new unit, so I tried to make a new notebook. I tried at least 50 times and it did nothing. Not sure what happened, I thought it was the Wi-Fi, but no. I’ve refreshed multiple times, maybe it wasn’t loading. Still no. It can be a little frustrating though. When changing from colors to bold text, and switching between numeric and bullet, it glitches up on me. I think It would be neat to have bookshelf and book cover designs to choose from, and be able to see the title of each book when I open the app. I really do appreciate the simplicity though. Otherwise it's amazing - EXCEPT when the notes don't save. A few times now I have lost about an hour's worth of notes. At first I didn't realize that's what had happened, but after the second time I started saving the notes on the notes page as well so I don't risk losing my work. So essentially now I'm writing it twice because I actually really like this app. Please fix the saving bug! ### 4/5 — It’s alright *2022-08-05, version 1.0.5* Got the app and it’s alright. There are some minor things you can do with the text such as change the font color, change the font, or (not conveniently) bolden, italicize, underline, and highlight text. The options to color a notebook is cool too. Swiping up/down on the notebook to flip pages is interesting to say the least. Thankfully you can just use a menu at the top right of a notebook. Anyway, the app really wasn’t I was looking for, but it isn’t a terrible app! ### 3/5 — Almost perfect *2022-05-09, version 1.0.5* It’s such a great concept and helps to keep things more organized, I use it because of my memory loss but it literally doesn’t save the things I write 😑 so kind of pointless if it can’t even do that. ### 3/5 — Saving *2022-03-25, version 1.0.5* I just got the app and I really enjoy it. The only problem I have is with saving what I write in the notebooks. Sometime it doesn't save whole paragraphs which is very anoying. other then that I really enjoy the app. :) ### 4/5 — Everything I’ve ever wanted but *2022-03-01, version 1.0.5* As the title says, this app is everything I’ve been looking for, but unfortunately sometimes my notes get deleted randomly even after clicking “Done”. I’ve tested it with some smaller notes and have seen that even leaving a note on edit and exiting out of the app, it’ll stay saved whereas sometimes I’ve always saved it and it’ll be gone when I next check. I use this app to write stories and poems so this is very concerning to me and I’ve taken to making screenshots of everything I write. Please help I refuse to use a different app… this one really has everything I’ve ever needed! ### 4/5 — Love it! *2022-02-23, version 1.0.5* Aesthetically pleasing and so simple! I’d give it 5 stars but you gotta fix the bug I’ve been encountering, anytime I try to copy and paste something into my purple notebook app it closes out on me completely or it does properly paste the text into the notebook so when I exit the page it doesn’t save it. 😩 trying to transfer my notes is gonna make me have to rewrite them all unless you fix the pasting bug. ### 2/5 — does not auto save *2022-01-31, version 1.0.5* great layout and organization. But it does not automatically save your documents. When adding pictures it scrambles the Text everywhere and sometimes it will just space for no apparent reason or sometimes just won’t save. I have took notes only to come back later and find only the picture and the text next to it was saved. It’s cool, but it defiantly needs some improvement, it doesn’t work very well and that’s driving me and possibly will drive others away as well. ### 3/5 — Could've had more details... *2022-01-01, version 1.0.5* The app seems fine from what I'm seeing, but I want to be able to have different pages in the same class to be able to take notes on other chapters of my textbooks. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Do not download for work use *2023-06-02* I am disgusted that this app has not responded to anyone with bad reviews only the DEFINITE paid reviews. I had notes and leads for work that I spent hours typing in this terrible note system. I opened it not even 3 days later and all the notes I wrote were gone. The “Shelves” were still named what I had originally named them but there was zero of my notes in there. Hours of lost leads and notes from work. If I could I would leave a 0/5. Fix the app or delete it. Horrible. Do not listen to this paid reviews about how “great and everything they need in a notepad” it is nothing you’d want for writing notes other than disorganized buggy and deletes your data with zero way of recovery. Uninstalled. Never downloading again. Awful experience, especially the customer service that only responds to the paid reviews and ignores the reviews on bugs. Once again 0/5. Id rather use carrier pigeons to write and bring my notes home with. ### 1/5 — don't ever download *2023-02-14, version 1.0.5* i got this to use for my college classes but i can't even get on it . whenever I try to get on the app it will actually get on it for a second then it will disappear. It always say loading issue ( even though i have no internet trouble or spotty wifi or internet ) then it will all the sudden click off all the sudden . It’s really a shame and the worst experience when you’ve been putting a lot of work into a book to have it suddenly gone. ### 1/5 — Do not download this app! *2022-10-04, version 1.0.5* I have tried this app a various amount of times and it is extremely disappointing and frustrating. Every time I would take notes for my classes I would click done and leave the app. When i went back to look at my notes, half of the notes I took disappeared. I thought maybe it was a fluke the first time but it kept happening over and over again. It took me hours to take these notes and now I have to re do them all. After thoughtfully writing multiple notes for school (while connected to wifi), the app didn't seem to save them, and there's no way for me to access them. What the heck is CloudKit access. Also once I had made a notebook, whenever I tried to open it, the whole app just closed out. I wish I never downloaded this because until I figure out what a CloudKit I, I can’t use the app. I find it kind of sad too because I very excited to finally find a notebook app that doesn’t cost money or have a premium pass or whatever. Maybe if the issues stop happening, I will be able to use that app. PLEASE REPLY WITH SOME TIPS!!! ### 1/5 — Refused to work properly! *2022-02-21, version 1.0.5* I was hopeful when I downloaded this app because it seamed to have everything I was looking for, but unfortunately my joy was short lived. Immediately I started to notice problems. I started out by making a bookshelf and attempting to add some books to it. I started on the first one and l quickly became frustrated with it. Not long after I had gotten everything how I needed, It deleted all that I had been working on. After typing it all out again I attempted to add photos and it refused to do that as well. I thought maybe it was the particular photo I was trying to use but no. Absolutely nothing would work. I gave up on that and thought maybe there was a problem with that particular book. I attempted to set up a second book and I was not surprised to find that it wouldn’t even add a second book. I went into my settings hoping to find an answer but even after allowing everything that it wanted and trying it all again. It still refused to work. So as a last ditch effort I deleted the app and all it’s filed from my phone and redownloaded it in hopes that it had downloaded wrong the first time. No. That wasn’t it. This app just doesn’t work. I loved the lay out and was truly hopeful but I ended up going with CollaNote which has worked perfectly. ### 1/5 — If I could give zero stars I would *2022-01-17, version 1.0.5* This app is not exactly ideal for note taking, but it was free and did the basics so I used it. I took notes for two nursing classes over multiple chapters. The next day I opened the folders and everything was gone. I can't explain how or why this happened and there is no way to retrieve them. I will simply here to start over entirely. Needless to say, I will never use this again. ### 1/5 — Will not save your notes *2021-09-03, version 1.0.5* Let me start this with the things I like, I like the idea of having the notes look like a noteook on shelves but other than that this app lacks everything I need in a note taking app. Now for the bad things, this app has only saved my notes I've taken for two different classes out of my 6 classes and one of them that did save the next time I went back into it and continued notes for the class not only did it not save what I wrote that class but all my notes for that class disappeared when I next went into it making it so that I had no notes for my first week in all classes except one. Another thing that I hate about this app is the sizing, you can only have 4 sizes 3 of them being different size headers and the paragraph one being far too small. Lastly the bold/color/italics thing on this works ok except you have to go back up and click out of the lttle bar and then go back and click where you left off to begin typing again which while it may not seem too bad it is very annnoying while trying to keep up with notes in college when your professor goes faster than you can manage with this app; not that that matters anyways because all your notes will be gone the next day since it doesn't save. ### 2/5 — Idk about this *2023-01-05, version 1.0.5* I use this app for online school and it’s cute and all, the organization is really nice, and the way you can customize the colors of your notebooks are cute but- my stuff always gets deleted, everything I wrote just disappeared. Everything gets deleted except for the shelves and title of the note. It’s frustrating. I even have been using this app and keeping it on my device for 1 year maybe longer, in hopes of this glitch being fixed but it has not lol ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — Very good *2023-01-20, version 1.0.5* First off I really love this app. It is very simple to take notes, yet also very easy to organize and keep track of your notes and subjects as well. The only problem I have is you have to go back from the notebook before you close the app. If you don’t the app won’t save your notes. I’ve been using it for my tarot cards. I just got my tarot cards so its been helping me learn their meanings. But when school starts up again (after winter break) I will definitely be using it for school as well. In this app you get to make a book shelve for all the subjects you want. On the shelf you can have multiple books (not sure how many yet) so you can have a book for each topic in that subject. Plus its completely free.
