Dated.. Mediocre.. *2020-08-21, version 2.24* This app is a nice touch for my Purple PowerBase, however, is very dated and just okay. An update has NOT been given to this application for sometime, hopefully that will occur soon and add a better UI and functionality. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Oversold *2026-06-23, version 2.26* This app is horrible. My remote was lost during a move and it costs a fortune to replace so I have to rely on this app. It constantly crashes, disconnects from my phone, and won’t allow me to edit alarms unless I remove the app completely and then download it again which gives me ONE chance to edit alarms or turn them on or off. If I need to adjust a time or turn one off for a day, I must again remove the app and start over. ### 1/5 — No longer connects to bed *2024-10-29, version 2.26* This no longer connects to the bed over Bluetooth. Look for "Purple Smart Base" in app store ### 1/5 — The app has no way to connect to my power base *2023-09-21, version 2.26* The mattress, power base and its remote work fine together but this app has no way for me to connect to the power base. When I navigate to Bluetooth using Connection Wizard or Manual Connection and follow the prompts, I am met with the “Connected Devices: No Beds Connected” and “Nearby Devices: [BLANK]”. There is no way for me to input anything via QR code or text fill, rendering the app useless. I’ve also tried this on the Reverie app and the same user experience occurs. ### 1/5 — Purple remote using IPhone *2023-06-12, version 2.26* Device very often does not sync with temperpedic bed or there is a long delay. ### 1/5 — Terrible application! *2022-09-24, version 2.26* This app is absolute garbage. I can’t tell if the ratings are true to the app or just people raving about their bed. You would think that with all that money they make off individual beds they’d put some of that towards a good team to build the application! Unintuitive interface. Even if you check for them before you go to sleep, it crashes if you try to delete or modify them. Frequent crashes. Now it does absolutely nothing and doesn’t even pair with the bed any longer. The mattress is just as great now as it was when I got it over two years ago. I’m so happy you added the Alarm function. One request though, can you add support for Siri Shortcuts? Ability to operate both bases through the app is a plus ### 5/5 — Lovely 😊 *2020-09-01, version 2.24* We bought our bed a few weeks ago because my husband has suffered from a myriad of chronic aches and pains for years. After his recent shoulder surgery, we decided to try it and see if ANYTHING else could help the pain. The purple mattress and purple adjusts power base is definitely living up to its reputation. It has alleviated some of my husband’s back pain and his shoulders are also mostly improved. We love the massage feature, anti snore and zero gravity positions. He still snores a little, but no apnea! I don’t have to nudge him awake to breathe! The flat button is awesome in the morning for resetting to spread the bed! The sheets and duvet are lovely and soft and keep us cool and comfortable. The only quirks we’ve found are that the remote doesn’t work since we downloaded the app and paired our bases to our phones. Also accessing the massage is tricky on the phone screen for me. It takes the right kind of tapping or pressing to activate full body and also to stop the massage, and the timers on my app don’t work. We’re okay with that though. So far we have almost fallen asleep, but we have managed to stop the massage just before falling asleep! Well call tech support one day when we have time!! We love purple! 🙏🏾❤️🙏🏾 ### 5/5 — No way to separate a Split-King *2020-05-15, version 2.24* I am not sure if this new app or the old app is better. I have a split-king bed, and the old app was able to separate them in the app to control each side individually or the whole bed together. This app will not allow me to control them individually without disconnecting one side from the control, which eliminates controlling the whole bed without having to reconnect the disconnected side. The added features are nice, but, as a whole, the app needs a bit more functionality. ### 4/5 — Remotes don't work *2020-09-09, version 2.24* Mattress itself we are happy with. The remotes for the power base we are extremely dissatisfied with as they don't work 97% of the time. The ap works well enough but the plus and minus buttons escalate so quickly and it doesn't have the option the remote has for preset preferred positions.
