### 1/5 — Purchased before subscription was a thing.

*2026-06-11, version 4.0*

In purchased several of their workout programs before subscriptions. Now I’m locked out of my paid app.

### 1/5 — Rubbish

*2024-09-30*

Absolute rubbish app! If you follow this app and do your workouts you’ll get hurt - had 2 frozen shoulders after 2 month….

### 4/5 — Timer

*2023-09-06, version 3.27*

App is great, just wish the timer would continue when moving between apps or sleeping the phone.

### 2/5 — Needs to deal better incomplete days

*2022-10-07*

To the developers: if you are working this program, you are, inevitably, going to hit a sticking point and have to repeat a workout until you can complete it. The app needs to deal with this. I should be able to attempt a workout, record what I was able to do, have the app keep track, and not remind me the next day to workout again. In other words, there needs to be something between “I never even attempted this workout” and “I successfully completed all reps and all sets and I ready to move to the next day”.

**Developer response:** Hi there! We are very sorry for what you have experienced and we'd love get this right. Would you mind reaching out to our support via contactus@zenlabsfitness.com at your convenience? Hope to hear from you soon!

### 3/5 — Good app but…

*2022-07-03*

The push up app is great. It would be nice to be able to unlock the intervals for a flat 5-10$. The 60$ yearly subscription fee seems excessive for me. I don’t want to use the support system or the other apps associated.
Deleted.

### 1/5 — Trial offer is a bait and switch

*2022-04-28, version 3.18*

Instead of getting two weeks free it charged me immediately. Now apps won’t sync even though iCloud is activated for the app. What a scam.

### 2/5 — Pay wall

*2022-04-16, version 3.17*

Everything after the first 2 weeks is being be a paywall.

### 1/5 — Totally not worth the money

*2022-02-05, version 3.15*

The concept is good, but after the 3 rd week or so it is $9.99/month. Sure, supposedly you get all their apps, but guess what. Not everyone wants all the apps. Get a clue Zen. Your most recent reviews are horrible for a reason…

### 2/5 — No cross platform compatibility and poor support.

*2021-08-24*

I bought the Unlimited subscription, which is supposed to unlock all of the Zen Labs apps. It only worked on the original app I purchased it from and would not transfer to the Zen Labs suite. I have received a few months of apologies form the developers, but no solutions. Unsubscribed till it’s ironed out. But also reluctant to try it again.

**Developer response:** Hello! I'm really sorry about this issue, is there any chance that you can contact us again? I can assure you that we will do our best to help you fix this problem.

Thank you!

### 1/5 — Used to love this App but now..

*2021-06-14, version 3.11*

This app used to be great, in fact I bought the pro version of this, the pull-up, sit-up and squat version. However recently the pro version has been put behind yet another pay wall, a monthly or annual subscription. Unacceptable for what is essentially a push up counter. Feel I’m owed a refund on my one time purchases. Dreadful.

### 2/5 — Missing key features.

*2021-05-18, version 3.11*

I want to love the app but:
1. It doesn’t share your workout with Apple health.
2. Doesn’t date the workouts.
3. If you close the app your progress is lost.
4. App needs a calendar to show dates when workouts are completed.
5. Should include push-ups variations after you reach some number of push-ups in a day. Like throw a weight on your back and do less reps, single arm, decline, more challenges to keep it interesting.

What I love:
1. Looks nice.
2. Goes up to 250.
3. Has me doing push-ups.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Rip Off

*2026-09-03, version 4.1*

The developer changes subscription plans once purchased. Charges change on a whim. Deceitful company.

### 1/5 — Do not update app!

*2026-09-02*

Updating app will cause it to change to subscription based platform. Bought the full challenge apps bundle a few years ago for full price as they were a simple non-bloated way to work on my strength training wherever I was. Never been able to complete the challenge but restart ever so often to keep working at it. Now I can’t even properly use the product I paid for.

**Developer response:** We apologize for any frustration you may have experienced with the change to a subscription model. We understand that this can be difficult, and we want to assure you that we made this decision with the best interests of our users in mind. We've added many new features, including music streaming, which we believe enhances the overall user experience.

Please email us at contactus@zenlabsfitness.com with your original download date receipt, and we’ll certainly do our best to work with you. Thank you for your understanding.

### 1/5 — Disappointed

*2026-08-29, version 4.1*

Awful business practice. A while back I paid for a bundle of zen labs apps. Instead of creating a new app they stripped users of existing functionality for a subscription model. This is an anti consumer practice and very disappointing.

### 1/5 — They stole my purchase

*2026-08-24, version 4.1*

I purchased the entire Zenlabs workout collection almost 10 years ago. I’ve been using it for years and loved it. Zenlabs decided to steal from me. Now they want me to pay a subscription fee. I used to recommend the apps to everyone. Not anymore. The Zenlabs subscription is not worth it.

### 1/5 — Rip Off

*2026-08-15, version 4.1*

UPDATE: I do not care if you added
features! If you sell something to
someone permanently you can’t just
take access away. Since I posted
this I used Ai to completely build a
free replacement of your app in less
than 5 minutes so I won't need your
"free" 3 months that you offered.

I purchased this app only for them to take it away for me because “ given the current economic environment, we had to change our business model.” I don’t understand how I can purchase something permanently and you just remove my access because you need to make more money.

### 1/5 — Mr B

*2026-08-11, version 4.1*

Paid for these app ages ago in full , now I can’t use them….. yep you guessed it, now you have to pay a subscription.

But it has reminded me that you don’t need apps to better your life. We are drawn in and think we have to pay for things in life that have actually always been free.
Thanks for the reminder…..

### 1/5 — Snuck in a subscription for paid users

*2026-07-29, version 4.1*

Absolute garbage. Bare functionality is a calendar with reps by week and day. A while ago this app was 2.99-ish, bought ‘em all. Now I have to pay nearly $75 for the app I already bought (which is now “free”). Save yourself the money. Make a paper calendar and get a stopwatch. Tons of free schedules online, don’t pay $75 to do this. Completely useless now.

### 1/5 — Not worth it

*2026-07-16, version 4.1*

Requiring a monthly fee is ridiculous. They don’t mention rewriting money until week 3. What a gross way to scam people.

### 1/5 — Paid for access, update removes access

*2026-06-29, version 4.1*

Purchased this app years ago along with several others in a package for unlimited access. Most recent update locked the app and offers a subscription with new features I have no need for. Try restoring purchase and it says nothing found.

### 1/5 — What did I pay for?

*2026-06-25, version 4.1*

I paid for these apps before they moved to subscription only. The only thing different is a new surveillance feature. 🤮 The only thing anyone has ever used this for is a glorified tracker / timer. It was good when it was just that. Don’t pay to let them have videos of you and more data from you.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Great app to come back to

*2026-02-02*

I enjoy the app for upping my push up game. Even if I take time off, I can always find a level that is consistent with my current fitness level and work forward.

**Developer response:** We appreciate you taking the time to share your kind words!! If there is anything we can do, let us know at contactus@zenlabsfitness.com.

### 5/5 — Simple and great

*2025-07-03*

As I said in the title, the program is simple and works. The breakdown to get to 100 push-ups is so well done, and you will see the results if you follow the program's simple, good, and effective steps.

**Developer response:** Thank you for sharing your valuable feedback! It is delightful to hear as it helps us to continue to deliver our best.

### 5/5 — Simon

*2023-08-08, version 3.27*

Great app. Really simple to use.

### 5/5 — Great App💪🏻

*2023-07-28, version 3.27*

1 of the best workout apps to keep you motivated and fit 💪🏻🧔🏻

### 5/5 — Great app

*2023-06-14*

This app offers a very friendly and simple experience. It is straight to the point with built in rests. Each workout is designed to slowly increase your ability. To make the workout more or less difficult you can choose how you want to do your push-ups. For example: I am not that strong atm so I am choosing to do each workout from my knees and to get a more isolated workout between each side of my body I have one arm pushed out to one side more to give my closer arm a harder workout.

**Developer response:** Thank you for your 5-star review and sharing your experience!

### 5/5 — Great push up app

*2023-03-28, version 3.25*

Easy to use. I like how you can level up with progress. Gets the job done.

### 5/5 — So good

*2023-02-23, version 3.25*

After finishing it I could do push ups

### 5/5 — Good app!

*2021-09-08, version 3.11*

Good app!

### 5/5 — Great workout

*2021-08-24, version 3.11*

This is great to use. Structure is great and using the app is good to manage the structure.

### 5/5 — Power building

*2020-10-26, version 3.4.4*

It works!!!!!!
