## What is Push2Talk?

Seafy P2T turns the crew's smartphones into a professional push-to-talk radio system that runs entirely on the ship's own WiFi network. No internet connection, no cloud dependency, no per-user fees.

Designed for cargo ships, cruise ships, luxury yachts, ferries and military or coast guard vessels, P2T delivers instant, reliable voice communication to every department on board — even hundreds of miles from shore.

KEY FEATURES

Instant push-to-talk Press to speak, release to listen. Audio latency stays under 200 ms, so conversations feel immediate. Server-side floor control prevents two people from transmitting over each other.

Works 100% offline The system runs on a server installed on board and communicates over the ship's local WiFi. It keeps working at open sea with no satellite link, no mobile coverage and no cloud service.

A channel per department Dedicated channels for bridge, engine room, deck, housekeeping, galley, security and more. Every crew member only hears what is relevant to their role.

Priority emergency channel A dedicated emergency channel takes absolute priority over every other transmission, so critical calls always get through.

Text chat with history Send written messages alongside voice, with persistent history for orders, figures and instructions that need to be read again later.

Roles and chain of command Roles and permissions mirror the ship's hierarchy. Officers can address the whole vessel; department members stay on their own channels.

Admin dashboard Manage users, channels, roles and devices from a central dashboard, with a full audit trail and encrypted communications.

Licence per ship One licence covers the entire vessel. Add, replace or rotate crew members at any time with zero per-user fees.

A vessel equipped with a Seafy P2T on-board server and WiFi network
Credentials provided by the vessel's administrator


Seafy P2T is a professional maritime tool and requires an active Seafy P2T installation on board. It is not a standalone consumer walkie-talkie: without a configured on-board server it cannot operate.
