### 5/5 — Top class app

*2026-07-22, version 5.0.4*

Well done pushover on a class app priced extremely sensibly. If you need notifications on some software then this is just for you.

### 5/5 — Life saver

*2026-07-20, version 5.0.4*

This is the best thing that has happened to IPhone. Thank you so much for building this app. Lots of love.

### 5/5 — Worth every penny

*2026-07-17, version 5.0.4*

I use it to receive push notifications from custom web apps. Works great, easy to set up the app on my phone and use the API from my web apps. 100% recommended.

### 5/5 — Great opp

*2026-07-13, version 5.0.4*

Well worth supporting!

### 5/5 — Really useful app

*2026-07-04, version 5.0.3*

Great app for working with IA agents and DevOps

### 5/5 — Fast Notifications

*2026-07-01, version 5.0.3*

My email client only polls for email every 20 minutes, and for some internet forums I want to know IMMEDIATELY when someone replies to something I have written. Notifications in pushover appear to happen instantly, which I love.

The only thing I wish was better is make it quicker to delete all pushover messages. Currently I have to long press one of the messages, wait for the "Select All" button to appear, then press "Select All", then press "Delete". So for example, if "Select All" was always visible instead of having to long press, that would be acceptable.

Thank you for making this 🙂

### 5/5 — Worth every penny

*2026-07-01*

Its great

### 5/5 — It just works

*2026-06-30, version 5.0.3*

I use this to push alerts out from Uptime Kuma-works a charm and I prefer it to the email alerts

### 5/5 — Fantastic service

*2026-06-25, version 5.0.3*

Great service, works well! If you need it, you’ll know and it’s a great one. Very reasonably priced. It just works

### 5/5 — Works better than the enterpri$e options

*2026-06-19, version 5.0.3*

Getting reliable notifications through Teams is always a challenge. Pushover makes it straightforward for mobile and desktop. I buy my own license for each company because the time saved can be significant.

### 5/5 — Fabulous system for AI Agents to use

*2026-06-17, version 5.0.3*

No mussing around with Messages or SMS - just plain magic

### 4/5 — Issues with Notifications

*2026-06-13, version 5.0.3*

Push Notifications are not processing properly on lock screen.

### 5/5 — CCTV Alarm

*2026-06-11, version 5.0.3*

Excellent product. In conjunction with ITTT, it has transformed the usefulness of my CCTV cameras enabling a phone alarm to be received when movement is detected.

### 5/5 — Excellent notification app and well worth the one-time purchase.

*2026-06-09, version 5.0.3*

I’ve been using Pushover to receive alerts from my home server, Home Assistant, and monitoring systems, and it has been rock solid. Notifications arrive quickly and reliably, setup is straightforward, and the app integrates with a huge range of services.

I particularly like the ability to customise notification sounds, priorities, and devices. The one-time licence fee is refreshing compared to the endless subscriptions that most apps now charge.

If you need dependable push notifications for home automation, servers, or business systems, I highly recommend Pushover.

### 5/5 — Well Done!!!

*2026-06-04, version 5.0.2*

As a System Engineer for a large Insurance company it’s critical we receive messages when issues occur. When AT&T pulled the rug out from some of our support staff we had to find a solution. This application exceeded our expectations. I know AT&T provided alternatives however those were not a good solution. I have Verizon and I switched my alerts to Pushover.

Well Done!!

### 5/5 — Awesome app. Easy to use

*2026-06-03, version 5.0.2*

Pushover is awesome — instant, reliable alerts that just work, easy to set up, and they sync across my devices. Simple controls and custom sounds mean I only get bothered when it matters.

### 2/5 — Hard to use

*2026-05-27, version 5.0.2*

Complicated and hard to use. Not intuitive at all.

### 5/5 — Well worth the price!

*2026-05-22, version 5.0.2*

Tons of utility for a one-time purchase. Super useful for all sorts of push notifications. More html tag support would be nice but not a deal breaker.

### 5/5 — Love it so far!

*2026-05-20, version 5.0.2*

This is a cool app and does just want I want it to do! Sends notifications easily to devices! Love it! Even have a tip to the developer!

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — UI needs improvement

*2026-06-18*

Ack buttons are not accessible verify fast. I have click slowly to get acknowledged. Make it little bigger. There should be an easy way to mute the alerts for next 30 mins or 1 hour.

### 1/5 — Not great for the watch

*2026-05-19, version 5.0.2*

I got this mainly to use the Apple Watch complication but I’ve found it to be really intermittent. Sometimes it will work for a couple of weeks, sometimes only for a minute or two and I end up having to uninstall and reinstall it on my watch to get it working again

### 1/5 — Wont even let me sign up

*2026-05-15, version 5.0.1*

From the beginning received the message-you submitted too many sign-up requests. Tried my other email address and receive a message about email already in use even though I have never used the app before. Very frustrating. Thanks for wasting my time

### 1/5 — Used to be great, but now it loses huge chunks of data randomly

*2026-04-09, version 4.3.5*

Ever since the new iOS 26 UI look, or there abouts, so maybe v4.3? The app randomly loses huge chunks of incoming push notifications. I’ve been using the app/service to get email image notifications from by cameras for just shy of two years now with any issues, unless I was out of cell service/without internet.

Just now, 7:44am, opened Pushover and set phone down so all new Pushes/Images could load. Picked phone up after they had finished loading, accidentally swiped up to Home Screen (did not force closing the app), swiped back right back to the app and it lost everything from 7:45 back to 5:42am. Just, now, while writing this review, I swiped back once into the app, and it now jumps from
5:42 until 7:45 with new images. Really odd and annoying. I just deleted the app and reinstall it about a week ago too. iPhone 15 PM iOS 26.4.

### 1/5 — No Way to Buy?

*2026-04-03, version 4.3.5*

I’m trying to buy this app but there appears to be zero way to buy it through the app itself. What kind of UX is this? Am I missing something?

### 1/5 — Not at all simple

*2026-01-17, version 4.3.4*

Rather complicated to get set up, and I couldn't get it to work regularly nor could I get it to get audible alerts easily or reliably. Giving up on this app.

### 1/5 — Charged twice for liscense

*2025-08-04, version 4.2.8*

I was charged twice for a liscense when it told me otherwise I would not be charged a second time for my one time charge which was purchased from download.

### 1/5 — can’t figure this app out

*2024-10-20, version 4.2.7*

i have a tenpetature alert device that won’t text my phone. and supposedly I need this app to d it for me but i can’t figure out how to make either one send a message to my phone. I did it once during my trial, but then after letting it lapse and paying for the app I can’t figure any of it out again
NOT USER FRIENDLY. even tho they have all kinds of answers to questions

### 1/5 — Buggy and misleading

*2024-05-06, version 4.2.2*

Couldn’t see where to enter information when I opened it. It created an account. Didn’t realise there was a free trial period as it appeared free. Can’t figure out how to delete my personal info.

### 1/5 — Notification

*2024-04-19, version 4.2.2*

Too long notification

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Easy to use & reliable

*2026-08-31, version 5.0.6*

It works really well once you get it setup. Easy way to get notifications going.

### 5/5 — app done right

*2026-08-30, version 5.0.6*

charges up front but then it’s free and just works. no cruft. i’m in love

### 5/5 — Best Purchase I Ever made

*2026-08-30*

No regrets , i set it up for keeping an eye on my infrastructure, glad its a one time purchase not a SaaS, now i can avoid opening telegram or my emails and get distracted while working. This helps me cut out the noise

### 5/5 — Best thing invented besides Tailscale

*2026-08-28, version 5.0.6*

There are two and only two things that deserve five stars, and this is one. I guarantee you should sign up for it. Seriously. Do it before it costs $20 because it should and it's so useful they'll probably have to do it

### 5/5 — What a great app!!!

*2026-08-26, version 5.0.6*

There digital is so confusing in this space but this app legit cuts thru the clutter and rises to the top. I don’t even usually rate apps but this one has made my life so much easier in that anything in my Microsoft world among multiple machines can now funnel notifications thru this platform. I HIGHLY recommend this app!!

### 5/5 — Easy to setup

*2026-08-20, version 5.0.6*

Perfect poor man solution to put a basic monitoring in less than 1 hour for the cost of a cup of coffee

### 5/5 — Won’t open on 26.6.2

*2026-08-17, version 5.0.6*

Love using Pushover for sending myself notifications through various projects such as Home Assistant and some custom code I’ve written for things. Unfortunately, after upgrading to 26.6.2 it will no longer open. Nothing happens, just won’t open. No other apps exhibit this issue, push Pushover.

### 5/5 — Perfect API

*2026-08-11, version 5.0.6*

Truly amazing app

### 5/5 — Fantastic

*2026-08-11, version 5.0.6*

Can’t get better than this when you need immediate notifications with no network lag. And for 5 bucks it’s a steal

### 5/5 — Great value

*2026-07-27, version 5.0.4*

For five dollars lifetime (per OS/channel) this is an unbeatable value

I use it for my personal projects and it’s very helpful for things like monitoring my homelab

Thanks dev team!
