### 4/5 — Good game

*2023-08-24, version 1.0.7*

It was a good game but did they ever put out port of call?

### 3/5 — Really great

*2023-02-11*

It’s a bit short but very well done. In the same vein of The Room. A bit easier than that. Unlike some other reviewers, I’m happy to have the puzzles with as little storyline as possible so it was great in my opinion. The journal and the drone were an interesting twist.

### 3/5 — over already?

*2021-10-22, version 1.0.7*

paying for this game for an hour of game , was really disappointed. When the gate opened i thought it was chapter 2, not the end . The graphics were good, puzzles challenging but not hard. If u see this game free, i’d recommend it

### 4/5 — Fun but very short

*2021-10-03*

The game was interesting and fun to play. The puzzles were simplistic and the game took about an hour or so to get through. The price was a bit high for how short of a game it is, but still enjoyable and I will definitely try the sequel if one is ever produced, but based on how old this game is, that appears to be doubtful.

### 4/5 — Loved this but too short!

*2021-04-05, version 1.0.7*

Great game with puzzles at the right level of difficulty. Too short though, i was just getting into it and it finished.

### 4/5 — Very good game.

*2021-01-21, version 1.0.7*

I am a great fan of the room series, and this is on par with those. Much brighter graphics is an advantage. Well done developer. More please.

### 4/5 — Good game

*2020-09-25, version 1.0.7*

This game is really a great game, just like the reviews said.
But I found myself very disappointed that it was so sort.
I hope there is a longer version.

### 4/5 — Good but short

*2020-07-26, version 1.0.7*

Good graphics, good controls, similar to The Room. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 stars was the length for the price.

### 3/5 — Could Have Been Better

*2020-06-23*

First, the game has absolutely no dialogue to get you started. What is the theme? Then a drone crashes into your house...so?
After you figure out what’s needed, their are a couple puzzles that are almost impossible since you are not entirely sure what they want.
The worse puzzle was when you have to arrange 8 balls that have symbols on them. But as you are trying to arrange them, the balls roll over and hide the symbol! That’s a glitch that needs fixing.
Lastly, the game is VERY short. Should have been free or $1.

### 4/5 — I hope there’s more on the way

*2020-06-15*

I was just starting to connect with Rover...

I think the soundtrack could have been curated better, it sounded too up-beat to me for the storyline. I also wasn’t sure if I was supposed to try to solve the puzzles without the journal or not...some of the information seemed necessary, and some of it seemed more of a spoiler. Anyway, I’m going to head back in and decipher some of the coded writing now. Thanks guys!

### 5/5 — First in line for the next game.

*2020-06-04, version 1.0.7*

❤️ you guys..terrific fun! Really good game. Perfect brain power to wind down after work. Most enjoyable.

### 4/5 — Very good game

*2020-05-30*

This game is similar to The Room series, and there are games that claim to be similar and don’t hold up; I wish it was longer of course, and wish the storyline tied in better, but the puzzles are great much like the Room. If the puzzles tied directly into the story, and you did more for the plot- it would have been 5 stars- looks like there will be a sequel, which, the way this game ended there are numerous possible directions to go in, just wish it all came out at once. But great job, I love this kind of puzzle game!

### 4/5 — Good game but too short

*2020-05-26, version 1.0.7*

Liked the game but it was short, just got interesting when it ended. Could have done with some hints.

### 4/5 — Excellent

*2020-05-22, version 1.0.7*

Excellent game but not worth £2.99 as it is too short .

### 4/5 — Short but sweet

*2020-05-08, version 1.0.7*

This is beautiful and fun, and fairly easy. It’s over quickly. But you’ll enjoy it while it lasts.

### 5/5 — Great

*2020-04-08, version 1.0.7*

One of the best puzzle games of all time!

### 4/5 — Totally loved it!!!

*2020-04-04*

Not sure about some of the bad reviews, but I thought it was a great puzzle game. I love to move around and click, rotate, and solve. Honestly, kind of reminds you of the room. My only issue it was a little short.. overall, I think it deserves a 4 star as there was some real work in the design. Great job, hope to see more with longer play and a stranger story line.

### 4/5 — Great!

*2020-03-09, version 1.0.7*

Loved it..I want more like it.

### 3/5 — Good enough

*2020-02-06, version 1.0.7*

But extremely short!!!

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Puzzle house: mystery rising

*2020-11-01, version 1.0.7*

Don’t bother. Worst puzzle ever. When you finally get to a journal that may give you some direction it’s not in English. What a waste of $3. Not sure why I gave it one star for a few minutes of play time.

### 1/5 — Not for the colorblind

*2019-06-27, version 1.0.7*

I enjoy puzzle games, but this is frustrating... so often a particular puzzle solution will hinge on arranging items in an order or in patterns according to colors. This makes the game problematic for the 8% of the population, like myself, who are colorblind. There is no problem with bold colors; I have no trouble with red vs. blue vs. yellow. A few games have an option for colorblindness... they change the colors most likely to be problematic (yellows, greens, oranges) to greyscale or patterns.

Here, I unlocked a puzzle (in the second chapter, the rotating pattern on the column to the left) and I spent a few minutes playing with it trying to figure out what I’m supposed to do. Then I realize... I screenshot the puzzle, open the picture and edit the color saturation, voila! Two different colors. The two colors, yellow and green, look EXACTLY THE SAME to the colorblind.

I can already hear someone muttering “So? Quit whining.” I would, if one of three things were considered: 1. A colorblind option in the menu. Other games do it, it is an easy fix, and it makes the game playable for everyone. 2. A little thought in the creation of the game. This would not be a problem if ANY OTHER TWO COLORS were in the puzzle. And yes, 8% is a minority, but not an insignificant one, especially since most of us are red/green colorblind and would have trouble with that puzzle. 3. At the very least, a disclaimer in the App Store that says “colorblind people will not be able to finish this game” so I (and others) don’t waste our money.

### 1/5 — Not worth the time or money

*2019-06-06, version 1.0.7*

I will go as far to say that this is actually quite an ugly game. There are really no rhyme or reason to the puzzles I honestly don’t get how some people think the graphics are beautiful I regret spending any money to purchase this game. There is no satisfaction in completing any of the puzzles I ended up deleting the game even before finishing it that’s how disappointed I was with this game

### 1/5 — Not worth being free

*2019-02-26*

This game has horrible controls when you get to the sliding circular tower. It was so frustrating I wanted to break my phone. Games are supposed to be relaxing and fun not frustrating to the point where you throw 3 bucks out the window just to be disappointed by sub par navigation. I can not recommend this game at all. I just played Legacy 3 Hidden Relic and it is a five star game for just a few bucks and I had a wonderful time. This is a huge skip.

### 1/5 — Not so great

*2018-10-19, version 1.0.7*

Puzzles were the only reason this got one star. The game kept freezing, then shutting down.
It took me a little over an hour to finish. Too short for the money

### 1/5 — Pretty short game

*2018-06-30, version 1.0.7*

Well I finished the game in about 30 min, to my surprise after I opened the gate the game was over. May want to finish the game before you charge money for it. Very disappointed

### 1/5 — Ouch!

*2017-12-26, version 1.0.7*

Certainly not worth 5 bucks!

### 1/5 — Don't waste your money!

*2017-08-13*

I'm a huge fan of puzzle games and more than willing to pay for a challenge. Having seen the reviews, and write ups I gave it a shot. Had I known I'd complete this game within an hour, I was shocked it ended so quickly and challenges were average at best. In no way does this compare to games like The Room and House of Di Vinci. Simple graphics, simple puzzle challenges, odd navigation and only three stages. Had I known this, I wouldn't have bothered paying as much as it charges.

If you have the money to spend, go for it...if you value your bottom line, pass.

### 1/5 — Not worth the money

*2015-11-22, version 1.0.6*

Would not have paid if I knew it would be that short! I think it was even cheaper than it used to be!!!

### 1/5 — Too short

*2015-10-31, version 1.0.6*

Liked it, but way too short for the $

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — What happened to Part 2, Port of Call?

*2025-11-23, version 1.0.7*

Was so hoping eventually chapter 2 would come out.

### 5/5 — Loved it!!

*2022-12-17, version 1.0.7*

The opening scene I wanted to hate the game but kept at it and WOW. lots of fun and really challenging

### 5/5 — More like this please!

*2022-08-20, version 1.0.7*

Really enjoyable, full of logical puzzles and lovely graphics and movement.

### 5/5 — Enjoyed this game

*2022-07-31, version 1.0.7*

I really enjoyed the game. Well thought out.

### 5/5 — Very interesting

*2021-12-06, version 1.0.7*

Had a blast

### 5/5 — Great game!

*2021-08-22*

The puzzles are engaging and the graphics were well done. The played smoothly and the interface was seamless. Thank you for making it!

### 5/5 — A beautiful puzzle game

*2021-07-19, version 1.0.7*

This game is beautifully thought out, the graphics are good, and the score is utterly perfect. Whenever possible, I turn off the music on games. Puzzle House doesn’t offer that option, but the music is so appropriate and even soothing (generally speaking, I don’t enjoy music) that it adds greatly to the game. I enjoyed the puzzles, the semi-cryptic notebook with backstory and clues, and I like that there’s a good puzzle game in the App Store that doesn’t have a spooky supernatural element - which is usually just a plot gimmick anyway. It also has great re-play value. Thank you to all those involved in the development of this game, and I’m looking out for the follow-up game. Hopefully, that will become available soon!

### 5/5 — Magical

*2021-05-29, version 1.0.7*

Di was looking for a game that would rival The Room, and I think this was even better. Beautiful graphics and great puzzles.

### 5/5 — Port of Call?

*2021-03-16, version 1.0.7*

I love the game and all but one question, when will “Puzzle House: Port of Call” come out to the public? I’d love to know.

### 5/5 — Great puzzle box

*2020-07-18*

A fairly quick play through but some great puzzles and well hidden (but not TOO hidden) switches and levers. Fairly on par with the Room if not a bit short.
