Pros: - Simple mechanics - Easy to play one-handed - Different difficulty modes - Guess function if you’re not sure of your options - Fun and requires the right level of brain power while not being too difficult that it’s annoying Cons: - The hint function is terrible. It always gives you a hint where it isn’t useful in the slightest when you’re stuck. And I really appreciate the ad-free option so you don’t have to constantly watch ads. But one warning: if you buy ad-free, it breaks the “watch ads to get a hint” buttons, so you can no longer earn extra hints. I even splurged for the ads-free version (reasonable one-time fee). The gameplay is deceptively simple to learn and enjoyable for logic and puzzle game aficionados. My only complaint is a glitchy interface combined with an automated “error-check” that utterly fails at distinguishing between genuine user error and said glitchy interface. Simply explained, there are only three options for each cell: circle, X & blank. One tap is circle; two taps, X; & three taps is back to blank. Often there is a lag after a tap. Unsure if it didn’t detect it or if it’s just lagging. I frequently tap four to eight times to get my choice. Slightly clunky, but not gratingly so. Unfortunately it’s straight up problematic if I’m working on the last empty cell in a row or column. Regularly the wrong option is easily read as an error. (By this I mean, the line is checked before my final tap.) One error equals the loss of the three lives allocated for each game. I’ve adapted by forcing myself to slow down and focus when working on the last empty cell. Though this reduced my official game errors, I’d prefer to either be asked if the line just completed is ready to be checked or simply to have a separate way to submit it once my choice is correctly displayed. I also stop playing the game each day the first time I’m prompted to earn new lives because of interface errors instead of my actual mistakes. Again, the actual game design is visually attractive and fun to play. ### 2/5 — Ads ruin it *2024-02-10, version 1.7.10* The game is great, but the ad time is over a minute and you have to close multiple windows, basically ruins any consistent play. I love to mindlessly play it because it helps my brain focus on what i’m hearing. Another time i really like to play is when i’m trying to fall asleep. With my phone even on it’s darkest setting, it’s still much to bright to play when I’m trying to wind down since the game uses a mostly white background. Not only would adding this feature integrate the app more seamlessly with iOS, but it would make it look a lot more professional with this useful, new feature, putting it further above similar apps and making it the obvious choice for users! I’m a teen and I’m not huge fan of going on social media while i’m around others (because I don’t pay attention to them) and I also have no other games on my iPhone, leaving this app my go to option for really any entertainment. I alone have made you guys a decent amount of revenue just from the ads I watch between puzzles, so the least you could do is make a game-changing addition of dark mode for your biggest money maker :) Other than that it’s a 5 star game all the way. ### 4/5 — Très bon jeu mais *2020-09-20, version 1.6.16* Je le trouve très réussi mais quand on choisi le niveau de difficulté je trouve que cela ne correspond pas à la difficulté. Bref, je désinstalle ce jeu et déconseille cette application. ### 1/5 — Gets some basics wrong *2020-04-16, version 1.6.15* Two basic things that annoy me to the point of uninstall: 1. pop ups in the middle of the game asking me whether I want to watch a video in exchange for hints I don’t ever want, 2. my iPhone goes to lock screen while I’m thinking about what numbers to place. Not so basic: several times I accidentally cleared a square and forgot what number I had in it. I feel like you could prevent this frustration altogether with some smart ux rather than relying on that undo button which feels like a quick and dirty solution. Just needs a bit more thought.
