I really dislike how the puzzles are not at all related to the story and you only do the puzzles to spend on stars to complete story actions. There is no logic or deduction involved in solving the mysteries or interacting with the environment of the story, it’s just a story with irrelevant repetitive puzzles that you need to complete to watch it play out. You spend stars for clues and you gain stars by doing puzzles so you can stock up on stars and play through an entire chapter, or you can do each at an incremental rate. With their other games, sometimes you get stuck on one puzzle which halts the game. Still fun, but sometimes it’s take a couple days so the story is a little detached. Its a lazy style and has no character. By the time we finish one game we have to wait for the plays to add back up and by then some of us already forgot the storyline. Its not enjoyable. I miss the feeling of going on an adventure in the old Haiku Games. It was a beautiful journey that took skill and determination. I felt accomplished after completing the different puzzles and loved reading the complex mysteries.
