## What is PV Log?

PV Log is a training log built specifically for pole vaulters.

Every vault tells you something — which pole you used, how you set it, how your run-up felt, and how the jump turned out. PV Log makes it easy to capture all of that in the moment, so instead of trying to remember which grip height worked on a good day three weeks ago, you can just look it up.

Log pole details (weight, length, flex rating, manufacturer, grip height) alongside your run-up (steps and distances) and the outcome of each attempt (height, cleared or missed). Organize sessions by training day or competition, and build up a history you can scan back through to spot what's actually working.

PV Log is local-first — it works fully offline with no account required, and everything stays on your device unless you choose to sign in. Signing in adds optional cloud backup and sync, so your log follows you across devices.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 0.1.21 — 2026-09-17

Minor update for iOS 27 and new app icons and images

### 0.1.20 — 2026-09-15

• iPad support: Poles, Sessions, Vaults, Squads, and Settings now show a side-by-side list and detail view.
• Reopen your most recently ended session within an hour instead of starting a new one.
• Vault list rows now show a video icon when a video is attached.
• Various iPad layout polish: sign-in, setup, and reset-password screens no longer stretch full-width, and on-screen hint arrows point at the right place.
• Fixed the edit-field popup and setup wizard being covered by the keyboard.

### 0.1.19 — 2026-08-27

• Favourite your go-to poles for quicker access from the Poles list.
• Video attachments now show upload/download progress with a simple cloud icon.
• Video picking is more reliable over shaky connections, iCloud-only videos, and large files.
• Fixed several dark mode display issues across Poles, Sessions, Vaults, and Squads.
• Fixed an issue where squad invite links didn't always open directly in the app.

### 0.1.18 — 2026-08-26

Squads just got a shared pole locker.

Squad admins can now add, edit, and manage a shared library of poles right from the squad screen — no more juggling gear lists over text. Move any pole between your personal collection and any squad you belong to in just a couple of taps.

Also in this update: a fix for pole editing that could silently round your stored length when switching between metric and imperial.

### 0.1.16 — 2026-08-19

• New setup wizard when you first open PV Log — choose metric or imperial units and set up your profile in a few taps
• Add your name to your profile, so your squad and coaches can identify you
• More reliable sign-in, password reset, and email confirmation
• Various stability improvements
