## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — My neighbor’s filthy property affects my quality of life

*2024-02-05*

It’s a completely useless app. I have reported my neighbors for having a filthy property and the city went there and basically told me it didn’t meet the criteria to take action. Their yard is filled with leaves, garbage and rotting wood that they’ve had out there for 2+ years. I’ve constantly had to clean up after them and spend money to keep their trash off my property. In the summertime, their property also attracts a lot of rodent activity, as I and my wife have witnessed it. My lawn constantly gets torn up by rodents and other vermin from their property. As a taxpayer to this city and a business owner who works from home, I am very disappointed by the lack of response by the city. They don’t really seem to care or have any urgency as it relates to residents’ quality of life issues. The city has to hold dirty property owners accountable and put resources into the communities other than Wayland Square, Blackstone and College Hill. The rest of the city’s residents matter as well.

### 1/5 — Missed yard waste pickups

*2023-12-01*

Useless is too kind a word

### 1/5 — Worse than useless

*2023-05-28*

The only function that sort of works from inside the app is the page that asks me if I want to download the app I’m trying to make a request from. That reaches an almost surreal level of incompetence, rather like a suggestion box with no slot. Try harder.

### 1/5 — Every request is someone else’s job - nothing gets done

*2022-09-14*

Waste of tax payer dollar - typical government incompetence on full display.

Replies from this app basically serve as a telephone directory to somewhere else. The city employees who field the requests should escalate to correct party.

### 1/5 — Mhhh…

*2022-01-22*

It’s nice to be able to make requests to the city. Some requests take a long time to be filled like broken playground equipment I requested months ago and hasn’t been resolved yet.

Just tried to log in after they updated the app and the updated version won’t let me log in like I always did through Facebook….

Let’s keep this city working please!

### 1/5 — Needs an update....

*2019-10-21*

Doesn’t work with iOS 13...constantly freezes when attempting to submit something 😡

### 1/5 — Placebo

*2019-09-27*

If you’re looking for a place to complain about issues in your neighborhood, unshoveled sidewalks, unsafe conditions, inaccessible transit due to city workers just not doing their jobs, this is your app.

Get ready for workers “merging” duplicate complaints to increase their clearance rate, and excuses to be made for why unsafe conditions persist until they just sort themselves out.

Don’t be surprised when the public servant manning this app tells you that public infrastructure isn’t operational because their buddy at highways says it’s “under construction”, when there hasn’t been a city worker in sight for weeks.

If you actually want the city to take your needs seriously though, don’t bother. This is municipal window dressing at best, and a public disinformation campaign at worst.

### 1/5 — Worst

*2017-06-19*

Literally the worst app ever. I'm trying to report someone who is harassing me and the app doesn't even have anything to help me with.

### 2/5 — Buggy

*2020-06-21*

Tried to report downed trees on public property but the app would not input a photograph from my photo library. It hung on multiple attempts. Nice idea. Bad execution.

### 2/5 — Crashes

*2019-10-12*

Useful idea but latest version crashes on launch.

## Most praised reviews (3 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Great app, responsive

*2019-08-29*

PVD 311 is a great mechanism to report issues in your community. When I want to check in on a case—I call or email—or use the app to follow up. I usually find it easier to get a response by calling as I have come to find out—each rep—usually has several hundred active cases.

### 5/5 — Great!

*2018-11-21*

Love this App! Very easy to use and effective. In response to the other person who has slagged this app off - maybe contact the police directly? Sounds like you need more than a quick App. Wise up.

### 2/5 — Not very useful

*2019-06-07*

I initially thought this was great. I reported a pothole and it was fixed within a few day. Mind you, they just dumped loose gravel in, so the pothole was back within a few days, but this is Providence - the home of the tire busting potholes. The issue is with any other request. Either they simply don’t complete them or they get lost in some kind of bureaucratic quagmire.
