### 5/5 — Great app!

*2012-09-30, version 1.1.2*

This is such a fun app. Works great with the iPad mic. The easy audio manipulation and real-time scrubbing make it enjoyable to experiment with. It's very interactive.

### 5/5 — Really cool visuals and tech

*2012-08-29, version 1.1*

I can't believe how ridiculously simple and functional this app is. Amazing UI and incredible responsiveness! Totally totally worth 5 times the retail price!

### 5/5 — great, and good room for more

*2012-08-29, version 1.1*

i have been using padi programs for a while now, and there are a lot of sample recorder. but most of them do the same thing, but either cost more or seem to not work right.

feed, is very nice, cheap and simple. one that is worth looking at. i do think there is room for more options, but this is a very nice start to it.

5/5

### 5/5 — A whole lotta fun

*2012-08-24, version 1.1*

Having fun with this so far.. Fun sound manipulating tool!

### 1/5 — Black Screen

*2014-09-03, version 2.0*

When I start Feed, I only see a black flashing screen and hear feedback from the mic. I can get a few icons to pop up if I swipe from the sides but bedsides that, nothing. Do you have any ideas?

### 2/5 — When when when are you going to get on the AudioBus?

*2014-08-01, version 2.0*

This app needs AudioBus to really open up it's possibilities. I can't believe you still haven't made it compatible?

### 3/5 — Neat but limited

*2015-11-28, version 2.2*

Neat little app which would be infinitely more useful with the inclusion of Audiobus. As is, it is somewhat limited for me & doesn't get a lot of use which is a pity, AB implementation please Dev ! :)

### 3/5 — Great, deserves 5, but unfortunately ACP is a terrible option

*2014-08-01*

On the site where I live, it is just standard to include Audiobus compatibility. Or IAA, when it finally gels. Retronyms ACP2 is a buggy mess that most iOS producers would rather eat live bugs than try to use at this stage. Get the update, and the stars will go up. Until then, sorry, way too much competition in this department.

### 3/5 — Great idea, unfortunately quite buggy.

*2012-12-22, version 1.1.2*

I'm looking forward to future versions of the app which might address some of the many playback problems I'm having.

### 4/5 — Glad yr getting on the bus

*2016-05-31, version 3.0*

Star added.

### 4/5 — easy to use aNd fun

*2015-01-03, version 2.1*

great idea!

### 4/5 — Great for classroom

*2013-07-17, version 1.1.2*

Simple interface, powerful tool - great for recording and changing sounds for teaching too.

### 4/5 — another excellent app for live processing

*2012-09-01, version 1.1*

i think a lot of useful thought went into this app, in terms of really balancing out the gesture control. it's loads of fun to play with, and is made for those of us who like to experiment with sound, rather than those looking for a for a found sound beat machine like Werkbench or Realbeat. it works pretty well on an iPad1 - you can get 2 loops to play at one time, plus input. more than 3 loops will bog the processor and stutter the audio. iPad2's and later should be fine, however.

the interface is intuitive and responsive, generally, it's extremely easy to get short samples recorded and control their playback in a number of ways. different finger placements and multiple touches will enable different behavior. the 'feed' portion of this is the live input processed through a filter and effects, and the setup of the controls just on the input encourage a lot of improvising, creating interesting sounds.

a little peeve - it's currently sort of preset to a very spacey sound with a mix of reverb and delay always on. it would be really nice if this had the option to have level control so you could make it totally dry if desired, but as it stands it tends to sound like a Jordan Rudess app like SampleWiz with certain programs having the spaciness defaulting to on, unless you go and manually change it. so far the effect is always on and can't be changed, though the balance can be adjusted a little bit via touch and position. hopefully this feature can be added soon - i tend to favor dry sounds when improvising.

anyway, great app and lots of potential - keep it up!

PS would also be nice to have longer length samples, and possible different kinds of input effects besides filter, like ring mod or bitcrusher.

### 4/5 — very nice

*2012-08-31, version 1.1*

very nice app, would like to see acp in future updates however as well as making recordings made in the app available in the inapp file browser, but good start

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Really good

*2023-04-25, version 4.0.1*

Allows you to make great and sus sounding sounds and really well emulates DJ effects

### 5/5 — Great app, highly recommended

*2014-08-02, version 2.0*

I was immediately impressed by this app. I had just updated from the previous version, which was really good, but this was next level! The tutorial was a welcome feature, it has a really smooth interface that also looks great, and most importantly, it's really easy to make some awesome sounds. My personal favourite is backwards looping a load of short vocal samples over some delays, accompanied by a background drone.

Amazing stuff, at a very reasonable price too.

### 5/5 — So different!

*2014-08-02, version 2.0*

A fantastic way to remix and play with your soundscape, an exciting tool and experience.
They say they have audiobus coming soon too!

### 5/5 — Creative and serious - gorgeous and robust

*2014-08-02, version 2.0*

A fantastic idea so well made. Fun for all ages to get back in touch with making sounds from sounds and reminding ourselves to listen better. Love it.

### 5/5 — The wonderful just got more wonderful!

*2014-08-01, version 2.0*

Feed is such a unique and powerful creative tool. This update takes it to another level. The app isn't complicated and yet is deep with lots of possible combinations to create weird and wonderful works of sound. I love Feed! It's a truly great and incredibly inspirational app.

### 5/5 — Super fun!

*2014-08-01, version 2.0*

This app is super fun and great for getting creative with! Lots to discover and so many ways to use it!

### 5/5 — Make music from anything

*2014-08-01, version 2.0*

Things I have made music from so far:

Kettle boiling
Ambulance siren
Wife talking

Really easy and stupidly cheap at 69p.

### 5/5 — Great fun!

*2013-09-27, version 1.1.2*

Brilliant app to play with, kids and adults seem to love it! Quite relaxing too. Thumbs up.

### 5/5 — Minty Fluorescent Ambient Genius!

*2012-11-27, version 1.1.2*

If you love ambient, or environmental music, you will fall in love with this app! I can't wait to take it into some remote places and glitch out nature! My only requests would be copy/paste options, and Dropbox integration. iTunes is a clumsy way to move files around, BUT, for this ultra groovy little marvel, I will suffer through it (till the updates come). I did notice that it will get buggy if you have a bunch of background apps running, but that is par for the course. It should go without saying "Turn off your background apps ". Plus, there is something slightly sinister about the sound this app generates that I positively ADORE! Crazy props! Thank you Incidental for a great new tool!

### 5/5 — Put on some headphones and get lost in sound

*2012-10-05, version 1.1.2*

Like multi-tracking your mind and the world around you. Great for songwriters looking for a new way to inspire themselves.
