I don’t take a photo every day, but whenever I can I will. At the end of each year I make sure to order the printed photo book and love having over 10 books in a similar style that show photos and memories I usually wouldn’t have printed. I have to delete & reinstall the app every couple of days for it to give me the notification. I also wish you could retake photos, because sometimes it comes out blurry or bad and it doesn’t let me take it again. But my main concern is that it is weird about notifying, and I don’t want to have to keep installing the app to try to get it to work. **Developer response:** Hi, Good to contact us. Till later,PYM Support ### 3/5 — Verschlechterung *2018-06-18, version 2.0.8* Ich war früher begeistert von der App. Seit Anfang des Jahres gab es allerdings neue Updates und seit dem geht auch die Qualität zurück. Bilder wurden früher immer automatisch gespeichert und im separaten Ordner sortiert, was nun nicht mehr der Fall ist. Zudem wird seit neusten auf das abgespeichert Bild das App-Logo drauf projizieren. Moreover, I hate the update. The app was great. It did not need “fixing,” and the new format is awful. It wasn’t broken. Why did you fix it and make it worse??????? **Developer response:** Sorry about that. Reminders: switch notifications off, close the app fully, reopen, then turn them back on. Hoping to order the books which is an amazing feature. But now charging to save to my own iCloud? Not a nice move…. The editing and other features make sense for a paid version. Regarding iCloud backups, you can still save your backups to your own cloud, and PYM remains fully usable without a subscription. We always value feedback and are continuously working to make PYM even better. ### 1/5 — Hard to download pics *2024-05-06* No good way to download photos. You have to go one by one. This is their way of pushing you to… buy a photo book? Which is not an alternative to downloading images. Odd choice to make this intentionally difficult. **Developer response:** Hello, Thank you for this feedback. In the PYM settings you can select the option to ’save photo to camera roll’. All your new PYMphotos will then be saved, so not retroactively. Since there is no option yet to download all your earlier PYMs in one batch (only one by one), it would be a better and simple idea to make it an opt-out instead of an opt-in. Too glitchy. *2023-10-26* What for seems the tenth time, this app has stopped sending me notifications. I write to them and get the same canned response many reviewers have gotten - are you in low power mode? NO! Have you cleared your cache? YES. Do you have too many apps open? NO. Here’s the thing. I have MANY other apps that send me notifications - without fail. This one fails constantly, more and more lately. I am on vacation. I missed two weeks of notifications until I realized I was not getting them. I want a refund. This app is not doing what it is supposed to do. I should not have to remember myself to take a random photo. That is what my camera is for. This app is supposed to remind to randomly take a photo. If I have to do the remembering, this app is pointless. And now, it takes the photo and freezes. I cannot save the photos. If I close the app, it opens and takes the photo again and freezes again. Over and over. I deleted the app and reinstalled it. Same thing AND I cannot log in so I have lost all my photos. DONE. DONE. DONE. Deleted the app. Letting my subscription expire. Too bad. Low power mode could interfere with notifications. You can check this in your regular iPhone settings -> Battery-> top of the screen. Restarting your smartphone (no reset!) is also something you could try. Doing that you empty your cache memory which often is loaded with useless temporary files you create while using the different apps on your phone. Cleaning this cache memory once or twice a month improves the performance of your phone and increases the batterylife. If this is not the case you can do a fresh install from the appstore and reconnect with your PYMlogin to reload all your PYMphotos. We’re receiving uploads again so it seems these suggestions helped to fix it. I just noticed after recording a month of life was lost because I got no reminders. I am kind of sick of this. It isn’t anything I am doing. It is this app not doing its job. Till later PYM support ### 1/5 — disappointed *2019-02-27* i am very disappointed in this app. i took a photo everyday but when a year went by, it wouldn’t show the photo. i was expecting it to show you the picture that you took one year ago that day. also, you have to wait until a specific time to take the picture. when it’s finally ready to take the picture, it’s night. i really wish you could start to take the picture earlier. don’t waste your time on this app. **Developer response:** Hello, Sorry to hear that. The concept of the PYM-app is 'one photo at a random moment every day.' The daily notification you receive to take that photo should pop-up somewhere between 08:00 and 21:00. You mention that you only get this notification at night so that is odd. Could you send us a supportmail from within the app (Menu->’Feedback and support''), with that we have all the relevant info. You can see the info you share in your mail. It shows Type of phone, OS version, Appversion and anonymous device id. Till later, PYM Support ### 1/5 — Way too flawed *2017-02-27, version 1.9.9* Gave the app a good chance as a New Years resolution. Given up, here's why: -not being able to choose when in the day you can take the photo is such a shame. If you have special plans at a particular time, you might not get the chance to add it so you end up scrambling around later on photographing something irrelevant. -the app takes terrible quality photos that are grainy and pixelated -you get one chance and one chance only. If you want a group selfie shot for example, it's very easy to mess it up and once it's gone it's gone. At least one trial would be better. -the flash totally ruins photos, but you don't know until after it's too late.
