I used to love this complier since it was easy to use and reliable. However ever since they added the subscription option, its impossible to use the app on mobile without having to buy the subscription due to not being able to close the subscription screen. On mac this isn't an issue as you can close the pop-up so I don't think its a direct paywall, just an oversight on the dev's part. Now, on the mac, you're able to edit cod just fine but everytime I attempt to actually run the code, it says its executing but doesn't actually do anything. Due to this the app is almost completely unusable and I hope the dev's can fix these issues.

Opened app, immediately attacked with “are you enjoying app” rating before I could do anything. The moment that closes, I’m forced into a 3-day trial pop up stuck on my screen. Closed app, reopened, loaded my file, and forced 3-day trial pop up stuck on screen again.
Update: Because of Dev response I decided to retry.
Sadly it still forces a trial. There is nothing free to use or access unless I subscribe first.  The 3 day trial seems to be the “free mode”.

Advertised as free, but you cannot use the app unless you sign up for a $6/week subscription. Useless. Once you open the app, you have only two choices, a 3-day free trial followed by a subscription fee, or a yearly subscription fee. There is no way I could find to access the so-called free version.

Everytime you try to do anything new (possibly anything at all), it pulls up an ad for the premium version. This is not when you try to do a premium-only thing, it occurs when you create a file. It happens again when you try to run code. This would be fine if the ad had any form of way to close it visible on screen. It may be designed in a time where its X was on screen, but if it has one it is outside of the phone's display.

I downloaded this app when it was free. Now when i open it and try to run a script i get a paywall, with an artificially generated image of a sweet little bear hugging a big heart. This change was completely pointless and makes your app and developers look worse, especially since RUNNING the scripts used to be free. There’s also no exit to the paywall, so I’m just stuck with it on the screen until i decide I wanna give this application that COULD run for free my money… (I do not.) I will pay if I *need* python scripting, but I just wanna have fun and my chance of having any is ruined.

I started using this app in February 2024, and I really valued its simplicity basic design. I mostly just needed an app to write story scripts with color coded syntax, and I didn’t ever need to execute anything. The app always ran fine— had easy access to my google drive which was nice. Then that stupid pop-up ad started showing up and this app became completely unusable. What’s really bizarre is the paywall gives you two choices: a free 3 day trial where after you can pay 3.99 a week or you can forgo the trial and pay 2.99 a week. That’s $208 and $156 respectively.  An actual insane difference. I’d gladly pay outright $10 like a lot of other paid editors on this app cost…

Once you open this dumb app, this pop up appears with no X button or way to click off that shows “Python editor pro!” It forces you to pay for it in order to use the app. It isn’t free at all. You can’t even use this stupid app without paying. It just lures people in with a “Free Python App!” Then forces them to pay.

As soon as you open the app, there’s a splash screen that tries to force you to buy its pro version for four dollars a week, which is outrageous and you can’t get rid of it because there’s no X button at the top of the screen like in previous updates

Das habe ich noch nie erlebt: bei App-Start taucht nach wenigen Sekunden ein Bildschirm auf, der eine auffordert, zur Premium-Version zu wechseln. Ein Schließen dieser Aufforderung ist nicht möglich (oder anscheinend nur, wenn man Premium kauft). Trotz Neustart der App taucht der Bildschirm kurz darauf wieder auf. Es ist mir nicht möglich gewesen, mich in die App einzuarbeiten.
Für mich ist diese Art der aggressiven Werbung (und indirektem Zwang?) nicht akzeptabel. Ich habe die App gleich wieder gelöscht.

This app used to be a free-to-use software in which you could comfortably create, edit and run python scripts! Now, virtually all features of the app have been locked behind a paywall for a “python editor pro” subscription. You can’t even view python scripts before a popup appears prompting you to purchase the subscription and preventing you from accessing the app without a membership! For people who are looking for a great, free app to code in python, there are far better alternatives available. 
- Do not download unless you are willing to pay money to code!-

DONT WASTE YOUR TIME DOWNLOADING THIS GARBAGE. Every time you open the app it will force you to look at an ad for their pro subscription with no way of clicking out of it unless you wait 30s seconds for an X to populate. Plenty of apps to write python on and this developer thinks theirs is so good they can get away with such disgusting monetization. You can have a subscription based model without it being so obtrusive and disrespectful to the user. Do better or stop developing

I should have read the reviews before downloading. Like many other reviews, I was not able to use the app because of a $3.99/week pay wall. There is no way to close the screen. You must pay for premium to use the app.
