## What is Qalma?

Qalma does one thing a day. It gives you a quote from someone who lived long enough ago to mean it, and a blank page underneath. You can sketch something, or trace one lazy line, or just read the quote and put your phone down. The app doesn't mind which.

The page is a proper canvas. A pen, three inks, a finer nib for small work. When you come back to an old day, your drawing redraws itself stroke by stroke, in the order you made it, which is a small pleasure that never quite wears off.

The words come from twelve voices: Rumi, Marcus Aurelius, Emily Dickinson, Ibn Battuta, Iqbal, Laozi, and others. One author per day, in rotation. Tap the quote and you get the full passage, a short reflection, and an honest account of who the author actually was. If you want a reminder, set one for whatever hour suits you, written in that day's voice. It stays off until you ask.

Everything you make stays on your phone. There is no account to create, no cloud, no feed, and no data collected. The app works in airplane mode exactly as it works anywhere else. When you want something out of it, export every page as a PDF, or share a single day as an image or a short animated video.

Qalma is not a journal. There are no streaks, no prompts, and no pile of missed days waiting to be cleared. Skip a week and nothing happens. It asks for one quiet minute a day, and it is perfectly happy with less.
