## What is Qamoos Arabic Dictionary?

The Qamoos Modern Arabic Dictionary is a bilingual dictionary giving English translations of Modern Standard Arabic words. It contains a rich and media friendly vocabulary, and is ideal for those studying Arabic, or consuming Arabic Media or literature.

● Dictionary
•  Search the dictionary in either Arabic or English to find matching entries. When you type in Arabic you will be offered suggestions if no matches are found.
•  Root - View the root of any word, and see all the words related to the same root
•  Measure - See the measure of any verb (form I, II, III e.t.c.)
•  Transliteration - All words in the dictionary show English transliteration

•  Browse through the dictionary to discover new words

● History
•  The history tab records your recently viewed words. Tap any word to show it in the dictionary.

● Saved Words / Roots
•  You can save any word by tapping the star button in the top right corner. View and manage them in the 'Saved' tab.

Qamoos is the app you’ve been looking for. That you wish existed. And here it is! I love how you can see the root of a word, and all the words related to it, sorted by categories of nouns, verbs, adjectives, etc. saving words in lists is so helpful. I can return to a specific list and see all the words I learned from a certain class or text. It’s a student’s dream. I often have it open split screen with a text next to it on my iPad. I love it and feel like I get so much out of learning this way. The search feature works great. No flaws! No notes! Really excellent app, 11/10

As someone who is studying Arabic grammar and morphology, I have found this app very helpful and easy to use. You can type up any word and it will not only provide the translation, but also the word type, form, distinguish prefixes/suffixes and give the root word. I love how the harakaat are also included. Five stars from me!

Great to have a streamlined, easy to use dictionary on hand when studying Arabic in other apps. The UI is clean, appealing, and easy to use, and much more convenient than other online options I’d been relying on. The one time cost is worth it for the work that’s gone in and value in information you get.
