## What is Q|Cards> Online?

Q|Cards> is an educational multiplayer game designed to get familiar with the basics of quantum computing in an interactive and accessible way. No prior knowledge required — just strategy and curiosity! 

◆ How to play?

Try to flip the quantum state of your qubit-merperson from |0> to |1> by placing cards, while keeping the state of your opponents' as close to |0> as possible. Each card represents a real quantum gate —the operations run on quantum computers. At the end, check the winner via measurement! 

◆ Key features 

• Multiplayer mode: Play with 2-5 players, choose 2–7 rounds, and hold up to 8 cards in hands 

• Set your pace: Choose 10s, 1m, or unlimited time to think your next move 

• Private & public game rooms: Create private rooms, invite friends, or join public games 

• Card Library: Explore rapid or more detailed built-in descriptions of each quantum gate to learn how they work 

• Quantum intuition: Learn as you play, or dive deeper into about superposition, entanglement, and quantum measurement in the Wiki sections 

• Powered by IBM Quantum: The quantum circuits you build in the game are simulated in the background using the open-source quantum computing library Qiskit

◆ Born from passion, built for learning 

Originally a tabletop card game conceived at the 2019 Quantum Wheel game jam, Q|Cards> has now evolved into a mobile multiplayer experience and been updated as part of the European initiative DigiQ (Digitally Enhanced Master in Quantum Technology). 

We are QPlayLearn, an educational project which develops multimedia resources and organises outreach activities about quantum science and technology.
