## What is Qest Family?

QEST turns the daily grind of chores into a game the whole family plays together.

Parents set up Qests, the tasks that matter in your house, and decide what each one is worth in Qs. Children complete them, parents approve with a tap, and Qs add up toward rewards the family chose together: screen time, a trip for ice cream, a later bedtime, whatever works for you. Dings take Qs away when a rule is broken, so the ledger tells the whole story.

THE JOURNEY
Every Qest earns experience toward a sixteen-world journey with Q the penguin. Worlds unlock life skills matched to your child's age, with learn, practice and perfect guides so a habit becomes a real skill. Streaks reward showing up day after day, and badges mark the milestones.

FOR PARENTS

One home screen for every child: today's Qests, pending approvals, the next reward in reach, and a focus skill.
A family calendar that syncs both ways with Google, Outlook and Apple Calendar, with Qests and reward days scheduled right on it.
Weekly, monthly or quarterly insight reports, written for you from your child's own activity, if you turn them on.
Co-parents and caregivers with their own access levels, so grandma can approve a Qest without changing the rules.

FOR CHILDREN

Their own login, only after a parent issues it.
A clear view of what to do today, what it is worth, and how close the next reward is.
Celebrations when a Qest is approved, a streak heats up, or a new world opens.

COMMUNITY, IF YOU WANT IT

Connect with families you know, share a win, cheer each other on, and message other parents. Children can only talk to family and to friends a parent on both sides approved. Every post and message can be reported, any family can be blocked, and a word filter runs before anything is sent.

PRIVACY FIRST

No ads. No trackers. Nothing is sold. Children use QEST only under a parent's account, and a parent can see, edit or delete everything at any time, including the whole account from inside the app.

Available in English and Spanish, with each family member choosing their own language.

QEST is free to start. Family plans with more room and extra features are available.

## Version history (last 4 releases)

### 1.0.3 — 2026-10-09

Swipe through your family's Journey. Home is now a carousel: swipe one way for each child's Journey map, the other way for the Feed. The dots at the bottom show where you are.

Your child's own avatar now walks their Journey map, and every map has a Life Skills button that opens the Life Skills catalog.

The kid cards on Home got the arcade look from the child pages. Tap a child's world to slide over to their map, or their streak to see their streaks. A family with one child gets a full-width card with even more at a glance.

Coming Up on Home now includes events from your synced Google, Outlook or Apple calendar.

"Send login email" and "Send invite" now really send the email, and every delete asks before it happens.

Back buttons take you back to wherever you came from, and Menu, Feed and Messages now have one too.

Set things up by hand? You can now close the guided setup suggestion on Home.

Fixed: a Qest added from the catalog could stay hidden from your kids, long names and labels wrapped or got cut off, entries and Family Win days now follow your family's time zone, error messages appear in your language, and tapping a notification while QEST is closed opens the right screen.

### 1.0.2 — 2026-10-07

Each child's page got a new look. Current Qs, Journey, Daily Streak and Lifetime Qs are now arcade-style cards: the Q coin and your child's current Journey world sit right on the cards, and each one shows what comes next: the next reward within reach, the Qs to the next world, the next streak badge, and this week's earned Qs.

Qests, Dings, Rewards and Activity on a child's page now sit in their own scrolling boxes, the same as the Qests, Rewards and Dings tabs, so a long list never pushes the rest of the page out of reach.

Fixed: the Journey XP bar showed 0 / 0 for a child on the first world of their map. It now counts toward the next world.

Fixed: tapping Accept or Decline twice on a family connection request no longer sends it twice.

### 1.0.1 — 2026-10-02

Your kids' levels now match their Journey. Home, each child's page and the Journey overview show the world your child is actually on, with a Qs bar toward that world's goal.

Fixed: kids ages 6 and up could get stuck on the first world of their Journey map even after earning enough Qs. Their map now counts every Q they have earned.

Fixed: "Ready to clear!" now also waits for any extra skills a parent added to a world.

Fixed: repeating calendar events show the date of each week, not the first one.

Fixed: "Back to sign in" on the reset password screen works again.

### 1.0 — 2026-09-29
