## What is Qianji?

Qianji is an offline system architecture knowledge library for software developers, architects, and computer technology learners.

The catalog covers 8 technical domains, 58 topics, and 278 Chinese-language system architecture lectures with 2,525 illustrations. Full text is available through Lecture 227; the remaining 51 upcoming lectures are listed by title and will be released as the series continues. Articles and images are bundled with the app, so no account or content download is required for offline reading, searching, or viewing images.

The interface supports Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, English, Japanese, and Korean. Article titles and bodies are currently provided in their original Simplified Chinese and are not automatically translated.

Core features:

• Two ways to explore: browse the structured catalog or use the architecture map to understand relationships between topics
• Native reading: articles, code, tables, and images are rendered with native SwiftUI components, without WebView
• Offline full-text search: search titles, summaries, and article bodies entirely on device
• Reading management: bookmark articles and automatically preserve reading progress
• Study annotations: add color highlights and notes to article paragraphs
• Article sharing: create compact poster cards or long images with article text, or copy ready-to-share text
• Appearance controls: light, dark, and system themes
• Local-first storage: bookmarks, progress, highlights, notes, and preferences remain on your device

The “DNS and Domain Name Resolution” topic is available as a free preview. Other published content can be permanently unlocked with a single non-consumable in-app purchase. There is no subscription or automatic renewal, and previous purchases can be restored.

Qianji has no account system and includes no advertising, analytics, or tracking SDKs. Apart from StoreKit requests for product and purchase status, reading and personal data stay on the device.

## Version history (last 4 releases)

### 0.3.0 — 2026-08-20

This update focuses on article sharing.

Open Share while reading to preview the image before sending it. The default compact poster works well for a quick recommendation. Turn on Include Article Body to create a long image with the article text, ready to save or send to another app. Posters include the article title, category, and lecture number, and open directly in the iOS share sheet.

Prefer text? Copy a prepared message with the title, category, lecture number, and download link in one tap.

Your poster preference stays on this device. Poster generation also happens locally; article content and personal data are not uploaded.

The built-in offline content is now available in full through Lecture 227.

### 0.2.0 — 2026-08-09

Content is now available through Lecture 216, with full text added for Lectures 197–216. New topics include eventual consistency, asynchronous I/O, thread pools and coroutines, circuit breaking and degradation, traffic scheduling, elastic scaling, stateless design, configuration, and feature flags.

The catalog now spans 8 domains, 56 topics, and 268 lectures with 2,437 illustrations. Lectures 217–268 are listed for future release. This update also improves Swift 6 concurrency compatibility and overall stability.

### 0.1.1 — 2026-08-08

Added app language settings for Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, English, Japanese, and Korean, with improved regional matching when following the system language. Article titles and bodies remain in their original Chinese.

### 0.1.0 — 2026-08-05

No release notes.
