HOW IT WORKS

Qiblati uses your device's location and built-in magnetometer (compass chip) to calculate the true bearing from your position to the coordinates of the Holy Kaaba in Mecca (21.4225° N, 39.8262° E). The result is the great-circle bearing — the shortest direction along the curvature of the Earth, which is the Qibla direction accepted by the majority of Islamic scholars.

COMPASS ACCURACY TIPS

• Hold your phone flat and away from metal objects, magnets, or electronics.
• If the arrow feels wrong, move your phone in a figure-8 motion to recalibrate.
• Step outside or near a window for the best GPS and compass signal.
