## What is Qismah?

Qismah is a free, expense ledger for trips, shared bills, and personal spending.

Create a ledger for a trip, home, couple, friend group, work cost, or private spending. Ledgers start with type-based covers, such as airplane icons for travel, and you can add a custom cover photo when you create or edit a ledger.

Track what matters:
• Add expenses quickly, with receipts and photos
• Split costs equally, by exact amount, percentage, shares, or plates
• Use travel ledgers with multi-currency totals
• See expense history, members, activity, and settlements in one place
• Import expenses from CSV or Excel for free
• Work locally without an account; sign in only for sync, backups, invites, and shared ledgers
• Share ledgers with invite links and include pending members immediately
• Keep personal ledgers private

Qismah Plus is optional and includes a 7-day free trial. Plus unlocks:

Settlements are now clearer and easier to manage. See exactly who paid whom, distinguish settlements from expenses at a glance, and delete a settlement when needed. We also refined the combined activity and expense timeline.

Qismah AI now understands the ledger and screen you’re using, remembers relevant preferences, restores conversation history across devices, asks clearer follow-up questions, and lets you rate answers. We also improved draft tracking and AI memory controls.
