## What is QMe Prompter?

QMe Prompter is the live performance teleprompter built by a musician, for musicians. Whether you play guitar, sing, or perform in any capacity, QMe keeps your lyrics and chords in front of you so you can focus on the music.
FREE TO TRY: Get 30 days of full access, no credit card required. Free plan includes up to 3 songs.
FEATURES:
Voice-Follow Scrolling: The app listens to your voice and scrolls automatically as you sing.
Auto-Scroll and Tempo Scrolling: Prefer hands free? Let the lyrics roll by tempo, or follow your voice, or step through with a foot pedal. Three scroll modes, your choice per song.
Real-Time Lyrics and Chords: Clean, readable display optimized for stage lighting.
Smart Import: Search AZLyrics directly inside QMe, tap Grab Lyrics, and your song is ready in seconds. Import chord sheets from Ultimate Guitar as a PDF with one tap. AI Clean Up automatically formats everything into a proper chord-over-lyrics chart.
Smart Glasses: Lyrics and chords on your lens, so you look at the room instead of down at a stand. Even Realities G2 works wirelessly, controlled from the temple touchpad or an R1 ring, and keeps showing your setlist even if the venue Wi-Fi drops. XREAL, Viture, RayNeo and Rokid display glasses connect with a single USB-C cable: no pairing, no account, and nothing travelling over a network, so there is nothing to drop out mid-set. They get their own full-size lyric view while your iPad keeps every control. A built-in preview shows you exactly what the glasses display before you buy a pair.
MIDI Control: Connect a Bluetooth keyboard or guitar pedal and QMe switches your sounds and presets for you. Set them per song, change them between sections like a clean verse and a driven chorus, or send them automatically as the songs change in your setlist. MIDI Learn captures a setting straight from your gear, so there are no numbers to memorize.
MIDI Pedal Control: It works the other way too. Drive QMe from a Morningstar MC8, a Behringer FCB1010, or any board that sends Control Change messages. Learn any of six actions to your own buttons, on any MIDI channel, and use it alongside a Bluetooth pedal at the same time.
Backing Tracks: Add an audio file to any song and play along, with your lyrics scrolling in time with the track.
Apple Music Sync: Link a song to its Apple Music track so playback and lyric scrolling stay locked together.
Group Jam: Sync lyrics and chords across your whole band in real time over Wi-Fi.
Bluetooth Foot Pedal: Scroll hands free while you play. Six assignable actions across tap, double tap and hold, so even a two-button pedal reaches all of them.
Apple Watch: Control tempo, rhythm, and navigation from your wrist.
Guitar, Bass and Drum Tuner: A built-in chromatic tuner with real-time pitch detection, plus a full drum tuning suite to dial in every lug.
Transpose and Capo Calculator: Instant key changes for any song.
Metronome and Count-In: Keep perfect time on stage.
Set It Once, Per Song: Tempo, scroll speed, transpose and text size all save to the song and follow you across your devices. No re-dialling a song you already sorted out.
Setlists, Playlists and Books: Organize your songs by gig, venue, set, or into books for any project.
Song Notes and Annotations: Keep performance notes on any song and mark up your chord sheets and tabs with Apple Pencil.
Recordings: Capture your performance as audio or video, with a lyrics overlay on video. Play back, share, or delete your takes.
PDF Import: Import chord sheets and lyrics directly from PDF files.
Web Console: Build and edit your whole library on a real keyboard at qmeprompter.com. Every change syncs straight to your phone and iPad.
Built by a performing guitarist who needed this tool and couldn't find it anywhere else.

### 1/5 — Simply does not work

*2026-08-18*

Tested it on several songs on iPad Pro and it simply does not work. Nice idea but needs to improve especially when playing an instrument while singing. It is absolutely not reliable.

### 2/5 — Ok, but no ability to export songs.

*2026-07-21*

Been testing the for a on the 30 day program. Importing of songs from places like Ultimate Guitar is still to complicated. Unable to export and backup library of songs once created is a big no go. Support doesn’t respond to requests after more than7 days. Will wait and see if the product matures.

### 5/5 — awesome, a must have

*2026-04-19*

I've been using QMe on my iPad for shows but the web console just changed everything. Sat down at my Mac before rehearsal and built out our entire setlist, imported three PDFs, fixed all the chords — took maybe 20 minutes. Opened the app on my iPad and it was all there. That sync is genuinely seamless. The chord editor on a big screen is so much easier than poking at a tablet. This is how it should work.

### 5/5 — Finally Ditched my teleprompter

*2026-04-19*

Throw my script into QMe, hit record, and the words scroll right over my face on camera. No more dead eyes from reading off to the side. Count-in gives me a sec to get set and it doesn't record the click. Way cheaper than a real teleprompter and I already had my phone.

### 5/5 — Great app

*2026-04-17*

Seamless help when I need it !

### 5/5 — Super Clean and easy to use

*2026-04-15*

I'm not super techy but this app is really straightforward. Add a song, paste lyrics, hit play. The interface is clean and I figured everything out without watching a tutorial.

### 5/5 — it literally follows my voice??

*2026-04-15*

Ok so the voice tracking thing blew my mind. It listens to you sing and scrolls along automatically. I didn't even have to touch the screen during our whole set. This is insane for live shows.

### 5/5 — whole band on the same page now

*2026-04-15*

We use this for rehearsal and our singer hosts a session and we all join with a code. Everyone sees the same lyrics scrolling at the same time. No more 'what verse are we on' arguments lol.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.33 — 2026-09-10

Voice follow now works while you record video.

Point the camera at yourself, sing, and the words follow you exactly as they do on the teleprompter. Your take keeps its audio. If a device will not share its microphone while filming, QMe says so on screen and paces the scroll from the tempo and your section marks instead.

Your section marks are used everywhere.

Mark a song once and it holds through the long intro and the solo on the teleprompter, while you record, and in a jam. Until now a marked song lost all of that the moment you hit record, and the words ran ahead before anyone had sung a note.

Two iPads on one song, no internet needed.

New in the Jam tab: My Own Devices. Your iPads talk straight to each other, so the venue's wifi and your signal stop mattering. Pick a song on one and the rest open the same song. Everyone still scrolls at their own pace, and any device can choose what is next.

Jam Mode fixes.

When you tap to correct your place, the band comes with you. Before, they quietly stayed where they were.

The Apple Music button no longer starts the song by itself. It gets the track ready and waits for you to press play.

A session code that is already in use now tells you so, instead of showing an error. Finished sessions also release their codes, so the good short ones come back.

Elsewhere.

Referral codes are checked as you type them, so a mistyped one is caught straight away rather than quietly doing nothing.

### 1.32 — 2026-09-08

Practice with the record. Link a song to Apple Music and press play, and your lyrics and chords follow the real recording instead of a guessed tempo. Loop the section you keep fluffing and the music loops with you.

Mark where each section starts and QMe paces the song from those marks, so the words hold still through a long intro instead of scrolling away before anyone sings. Those same marks now pace the song when you play free, with no track running.

Rebuilt PDF import. Chords stay above the words they belong to, and lyrics no longer run together. When you import a chart, QMe offers to match it to the recording so you can search as you type and pick the right one.

A cue now appears at the end of a song so you can see the next one coming in your setlist.

A much faster teleprompter, with smoother scrolling on long songs.

Improvements to foot pedal and MIDI control, including clearer setup for assigning your own buttons.

Clearer affiliate program wording, showing exactly what you earn on every referral.

Better PDF import

Chord sheets imported from a PDF now keep their spacing. Lyrics no longer run together, and chord names are no longer split in half. Sheets you save straight from a browser import cleanly too.

While you import, QMe offers to link the Apple Music track in the same step. The search updates as you type, so fixing a title finds the right track straight away.

A cue between songs

When a song ends in a setlist, a card names the next song and shows its capo position as a fretboard you can read in a glance. Tap it when you are ready. It never scrolls away on its own while you are still talking to the room.

Setlist warnings

QMe now flags the things that catch you out on the night: the same singer on too many songs in a row, a tuning or capo change with no gap before it, a song listed twice, or a set that runs short of the time you were booked for.

Colour by singer

Give each section a singer and the lyrics colour by voice, so you can see at a glance whose line is coming next.
