More confusingly, it erases my cart and replaces it with an old version of my cart from long ago. This has happened 5 times and it’s insanely frustrating when you are trying to coordinate your order with others. ### 3/5 — Don't order soda; food was good *2024-11-18, version 2.02* Food was good, but they didn't honor soda requests. ### 1/5 — Don’t Bother *2024-04-09, version 1.03* Just avoid this app. I was referred to this app by the restaurant, probably because it allows them to charge an astronomically high delivery fee. They probably would have gotten the delivery fee out of me, except for the fact that the app continued to crash, and sent me to some random verification page that never finished loading. Save yourself the time and order through GrubHub, DoorDash or UberEats. ### 1/5 — No option to cancel order *2024-02-11, version 1.03* Restaurant calls me to say it’s closed for the day, so it just stays in your order queue. What if you prepaid? You will have to do a chargeback. ### 2/5 — Does it’s job..needs update 😅 *2024-01-21, version 1.03* I used this app for the first time to order chinese food for pickup. The app keeps exiting/restarting everything if you leave the app Lol. But it at least it gets the job done. 👍🏽 ### 2/5 — Inflexible - Must Delete Account to Change Phone *2023-12-10* This is the required order app for my favorite local Asian restaurant. I’ve successfully used the app for 3 years, and since we tend to alternate between two or three ‘regular orders’ of our favorite things, the Order History has been helpful. I discovered today that the app won’t allow you to change your phone number once you’ve created your profile. I contacted QMenu support and they replied that for ‘security & privacy’ you must delete your profile (and order history) and create a new account to change your phone #. I’m glad that only 1 restaurant in my area uses this app. If I had saved orders for multiple restaurants and had to delete all of them to update my cell #, it would be very frustrating. ### 1/5 — Poor quality app *2023-10-31, version 1.03* I have used this app for a long time and recently changed my phone number. I called support for updating it on my profile and they said only way was to delete my current profile and create a new one. That is poor lazy programming. ### 2/5 — Tried to Force a 37% Tip *2023-09-27* This app only works for one restaurant in my area. I have used it dozens of times to order from that restaurant. Today I created my order and went to check out when I noticed they had added a 37% tip to my order. I was never asked to add a tip to this order where as in the past I was always given the option. I tried several times to edit the tip amount, but was unable. Either there is a bug in this app now or they are intentionally trying to catch people unaware in order to drive up ticket prices, thereby generating more revenue for themselves. In either case they need to fix it. I have deleted the app and have no plans to download again. ### 1/5 — Trash *2023-09-04, version 1.03* This app is trash. It glitches when you exit it for once quick second then messes up your order ### 1/5 — Horrible delivery app!! Do not use! *2023-08-01, version 1.03* Placed an order for dim sum - qMenu didn’t notify the restaurant and the order had to be cancelled in the end. They also use drivers from a third party, which makes it very hard to get in touch with relevant parties. Absolutely unreliable ### 1/5 — I hate when all fees aren’t disclosed. *2023-05-20, version 1.03* It is very slimey business practice to not disclose all of the fees until right at checkout. I didn’t notice that they added $.99 to the order until I double clicked to pay with Apple Pay. You’re better off calling the order into the restaurant yourself and skipping this app altogether. $1 isn’t much I know but it’s the fact that the charge didn’t show up until right at checkout. ### 1/5 — Infuriating *2023-05-03, version 1.03* Whose bright idea was it to make the app reset to the main menu if you switch to another app, even for a second? Awful. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Just a really bad app *2025-12-24, version 2.02* There is an “order ahead” option on the menu for the restaurant but there’s no option to do so as you checkout. Just a joke. Must be cheap for businesses to use because it’s certainly costing restaurants money. ### 1/5 — Garbage app, embarrassing to the developers. *2025-08-01, version 2.02* App will submit orders, but if you have to leave the app for anything and come right back to it, your ENTIRE order will be cleared and you will have to start over. Just like everyone is saying it’s frustrating to lose all progress in an order 3 or 4 times during the ordering process. Fix it for 5 stars. Plus….. stop adding huge tips! If you leave the app (to check a text to see if someone else wants to order anything) or if you put your phone down to grab your credit card and your phone screen sleeps the app delete EVERYTHING from your current order and you start from scratch. Ahhh I hate when I end up having to use this app for any restaurant. After a couple years of this being an unresolved issue, I’m ready to just not even order from those places ever again. ### 1/5 — Poor App *2025-01-23, version 2.02* Every time you switch to another app and come back, your location and shopping cart are lost. App charges a processing fee as well. ### 1/5 — Was good but…. *2024-11-10, version 2.02* I don’t know what happened but I’d been using the app for our favorite local Asian restaurant for a few years now then all of the sudden the app doesn’t really work anymore. Every is updated on my end but now I can’t delete things from the cart, then when I get to the payment part, I can no longer enter payment information. It’s the only app the restaurant uses too. Wish it would be fixed. ### 1/5 — App Restarts Checkout on Every Launch *2024-07-22, version 2.02* If you navigate away from the app, for example to lookup your credit card number, you have to start the checkout process all over. Very personable front end. Variety of food options is memorable. Ordering app very easy to use. Main Moon has been around for a long time. ### 5/5 — It seems to work well for me *2024-08-30* There are a couple Chinese food places that I like that both happen to use this app. One is near my house, one is near my office. Different owners, but I think it’s a nice coincidence they use the same app. I just now updated to the latest version and read some of the other reviews. I thought I should put my two cents in that I have had a really good experience with this app. It remembers my orders, it charges what it says it’s going to charge, it allows me to set my tip where I want… I really don’t have any complaints. Both the restaurants I use it for offer coupons through the app for free food if you reach a certain dollar amount - I don’t know if that is an app feature or just part of these two restaurants, but either way I like that and it is really easy to use. So overall, QMenu has been pretty consistently dependable and a good experience. Now it accepts Apple Pay too, which made me even happier with it. My food has always been confirmed by the restaurant promptly, and it always arrives when they say it will. QMenu is not a scam, and they have never caused any issues for me. Not sure what’s going on with some of these other reviews, but their claims just don’t match my experience. ### 5/5 — qMenu *2024-08-22* The app has alot to improve on, mostly a search system for menu items, but the places that use the app are delicious and friendly.
