### 2/5 — Great audio quality, AWFUL search and playlists

*2026-08-27, version 10.0.2*

I wanted to like Qobuz but I can’t take it anymore. Search is terrible and the recommended music algorithm is unforgivably awful. Canceled my free trial after a couple weeks. I hate Spotify but wow this is bad.

### 4/5 — Love Qobuz

*2026-08-26, version 10.0.2*

Love the fact that Qobuz actually values artists. I love the high quality sound, recommended artists and now we have lyrics!

Would give 5 stars but the interface needs slightly more work and I wish I could request a couple artists to be added.

### 2/5 — Recent update isn’t great

*2026-08-24, version 10.0.2*

Since the most recent update the app won’t change songs when selected from another artist than the one currently playing. This happens about 30% of the time. Takes several restarts to fix.

### 3/5 — Interface and mechanism should be improved

*2026-08-23, version 10.0.2*

The sound quality is amazing, however the library is not the biggest, some artists are missing, some album dates are wrong. There is something very annoying that happens in the queue when you play a song from the artist profiles. It adds a list of song from the same artist to the queue, but then if i go to another artist account, the songs that were added to the queue from the previous artist do not disappear. This does not happen with Spotify for example. I really like the Magazine Feature, and the look of the app overall. But i have to end the membership because i find the queue system very unpractical and not all artists i listen to are available.

### 3/5 — review

*2026-08-22, version 10.0.2*

has a wide variety of music but the app is very laggy a lot of the time. also, having a sleep timer setting would be great for listening to music at night.

### 4/5 — Music service without ego

*2026-08-21, version 10.0.2*

I had to get away from the power trip tech fascists. There are some things I would improve. Search function is too sensitive. The queue/ play can be fiddly (hard to DJ from it). But it’s got everything the others have without the hype and over zealous music promo.

### 2/5 — Trash

*2026-08-21, version 10.0.2*

App barely works
Also, why tf are you asking for my birthday and gender?

### 3/5 — This app has less songs than Spotify.

*2026-08-18, version 10.0.2*

I tried to search for a song I want, but it didn’t find what I was looking for.

### 2/5 — Least User Friendly, Most Unintuitive.

*2026-08-17, version 10.0.2*

It is insane the way basic features are not added to things like the music history (such as being able to see the track) and that if you have an entire queue set up it will delete the whole thing if you accidentally tap a song that you were trying to long press for unreasonably long. Im serious this app is a pain to use. I would just use spotify, but at least this way the artists get paid a more fair amount. I do not care how good the music sounds if accessing it is this unpleasant. Edit: And OH MY GOD allow me to turn off the auto loop mode for when i get in the car, AND AT LEAST ALLOW ME TO TURN OFF LOOP MODE AT ALL!!
Update: They redid the entire UI and while its somewhat more intuitive it still sucks so much. Queue clears when you accidentally start a new song, playing an album also puts it in the queue (why, theres literally a button to use that functionality) you cant go to a release by clicking the title of something, and there is STILL no way to block an artist or dislike a song. Oh and the search function is one of the worst ive used in an application on any device ever. I mean that. How are you this bad at app design. Do you even test your own app?.

### 2/5 — Garbage

*2026-08-17, version 10.0.2*

I recently tried to re-subscribe to this app because I wanted something that supports artist more. Well I paid my 16.99 and it won't recognize my subscription. No matter what I do it doesn't work just tells me to enjoy full tracks again and then when I check my subscription it tells me to subscribe I click subscibe and it tells me I am subscribed. If they can't handle the sign in process than why bother.

### 4/5 — Everything pretty good but trash search engine.

*2026-08-16, version 10.0.2*

Way too hard to find a more obscure artist but other than that I’m happy especially since I’m not supporting the war monger over at Spotify.

### 4/5 — Better music reccs than spotify

*2026-08-15, version 10.0.2*

Switched to Qobuz from Spotty fries after hearing about their abysmal money grabbing practices and AI slop. I wasn't all that impressed at first since it was just a music replacement and there are some technical issues. Playback at higher quality levels works great over headphones but weirdly the bass is distorted over my car speakers. The feature to change sound quality to CD quality seems to fix the issue, which might just be a hardware problem on my part but is still weird. My other main gripe is with the search bar, which doesn't always show the most relevant results unless you type the song/album title exactly. Partial title info usually only works if the music is extremely popular and searching with lyrics doesn't seem to be supported, which I hope they implement in a future update. Despite all of these flaws, I am VERY happy with making the switch. Qobuz seems to be a very music oriented app that is genuinely intent on sharing the love with its user base through its editorial content and human curated recommendations front and center. What took me most by surprise is the radio algorithm. The music played on the radio stations that are based on your music is actually new and fresh picks, with only a limited number of familiar songs mixed in. I am very pleased with this, especially when I am most often listening at work and cannot queue on my own. The number of new songs that I'm actually enjoying because of this has sort of reawakened my love of music and made me excited to listen to new stuff that isn't a rehash of just the most popular songs by an artist. So overall, I am very satisfied with Qobuz and hope that they will continue to foster a love of music!

### 4/5 — Incredible sound quality but some issues

*2026-08-15, version 10.0.2*

The sound quality is by far the best out of every streaming service I’ve tried. I appreciate the lack of ai. My main issue is that it is sort of laggy if you have a large music catalog. Rn I have over 8,000 tracks in my library and I like to play them all on shuffle like on other streaming services, however, because of the quantity it only ever plays my A-C titled tracks on the shuffle or just goes on to auto play immediately after. If this were fixed it would by far the best streaming service on the market.

### 4/5 — Choix musique québécoise

*2026-08-14, version 10.0.2*

Pas assez d’ artistes Québécois

### 4/5 — please for the love of all that is good

*2026-08-14, version 10.0.2*

Please have some ability to temporarily download the song you click to listen to, so that when you're playing it, the songs don't cut out part way through. Whatever Spotify does, because I've never had the issue of a partially playing song with them and I don't want to use their corrupt services anymore.

### 4/5 — Overall YES

*2026-08-12, version 10.0.2*

Been using Qobuz as a replacement to Spotify and it’s ICE supporting shenanigans. I really love it overall and find the music quality to be really great. I do have a few things to note:

I use a few of my long playlists (think 20-50+ hours long) in a clinical work environment, and I swear we hear the same songs all the time, even with shuffle. It’s like the app learns the most played songs and then shuffle only plays those ones again and again. One of my playlists is over 50 hours long, and we still hear some of the same songs every day. I think this could be improved.

Second, I feel like a lot of the house/trance playlists I imported over from Spotify have so many tracks unavailable. Or one week a song will be available and the next week not. It really bums me out. I know it’s all licensing stuff, but it’s quite frustrating. I’ve used the music request option many times, but sometimes there is just too much.

Thank you!

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Richard Mead

*2026-08-25, version 10.0.2*

Left Tidal, I’ve used Soundiiz to transfer my music from Tidal to Qobuz expecting my music to be in the library or in playlist on Qobuz! No chance just download 29 tracks, anyway, I go to listen to all the music that has been transferred across and each song lasts 27 seconds, went on Qobuz chat bot ( what is that all about ? ) after 30 minutes of that, finally chat bot says I’ll get a human to get in touch with you via email ( oh great more writing!! ) WELL that’s well over 24 hours ago and still no human has sent me an email , so when the free trial ends , will I pay nearly £190 for the year for duo membership? Well that now depends on Qobuz customer service
If you want £190 and want a better review improve your customer support and get in touch to help !!

### 1/5 — AI support is terrible

*2026-08-24, version 10.0.2*

Have been waiting for an account problem to be fixed since April 2026. Took 2 months to get a human involved and while they say it will be fixed its still not fixed. Will be going back to Apple Music once subscription is over with Qobuz

### 1/5 — Software glitches

*2026-08-20, version 10.0.2*

I am experiencing glitches where either the music disappears from Qobuz (no music for an artist all of a sudden). Also Qobuz connect with my Naim fails to stream mid song often

### 1/5 — A ok app

*2026-08-14, version 10.0.2*

I like Apple Music better than this

### 1/5 — I wanted to like it, but it was barely functional for me

*2026-08-14, version 10.0.2*

I jumped on Qobuz from Spotify because I don’t support what they’ve been funding. I oppose genocide and AI. I’m in the US on an iPhone 13. I heard good things about this app all over, and what I’m going to describe was just my experience. Unfortunately, most if not all its functions were significantly broken. Namely just… playing music. I was just trying to listen to some songs on a playlist I made that I listen to frequently. Some songs play no problem, others stopped in the middle of playing at least 3 times in a row. Eventually they just wouldn’t start again no matter what I did. I restarted the app, scrubbed, skipped to the next song and went back, but nothing worked. And whenever it starts doing that it affects the next 3-5 songs in a row. None of them will play. So despite paying money, I literally don’t have control over what I listen to. I checked the free version of SoundCloud just to compare and they have 0 issues like this. It’s not my internet as far as I can tell. This has been a problem for the almost 6 months I’ve used Qobuz, and it is just one of out of a massive list of bugs. Playlists cycle between the same things I’ve heard over and over, search is archaic and usually doesn’t result in what I’m looking for even if I’ve searched it recently, songs frequently don’t start, playlists have a limit of 2000, the app itself is very slow and choppy and often doesn’t register my taps, radio plays seemingly random songs that don’t sound anything like the host song, discover never got my music taste after months of using it, etc. I’m not going back to Spotify, but I do not recommend this app.

### 1/5 — Fix the search function

*2026-08-13, version 10.0.2*

Audio quality is great. Search doesn’t work. At all.

### 1/5 — This app still majorly sucks

*2026-08-08, version 10.0.2*

Qobuz you never get better only worse. why can’t a single track play because of an error occurred? i hate how much AI you guys use as a company it actively makes it harder to get support or to even trust it’ll change. i have downloaded and deleted and downloaded and deleted the app but no music can play. it still fucling takes so long to respond to any touch input, if you skip too many songs it crashes, shuffle doesn’t actually shuffle the amount of songs. i hate this app so badly

### 1/5 — Great sound quality, terrible user interface.

*2026-08-06, version 10.0.2*

I really appreciate the sound quality of this app but….The user interface is the absolute worst! I want to play all my music at this level of quality but I am considering dropping it and going back to another service. I hope you’re listening Qoubuz! Fix this please!!!

### 1/5 — Used to be ok

*2026-08-05, version 10.0.2*

A new release is one of those great leaps backwards
Don’t let it update

### 1/5 — New Update Sucks

*2026-07-31, version 10.0.2*

I love qobuz, but the new update sucks. it looks cheesy and i’ve already had the vibe killed at least 10 times over the past couple days with the “swipe to skip to the next song feature.” Sometimes this was because i was trying to swipe to see the queue like you could on the old app, but often it’s just because the app is super sensitive and completely by accident. Give us the old app back so I can stop killing the vibe please!!!!🙏🙏🙏

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Overall High Quality

*2026-08-26, version 10.0.2*

Qobuz stands out from the other music streaming services because they have stayed true to their mission. While they have developed into a company large and "mainstream" enough to offer a wide selection across genres, they are also successful in maintaining a focus on quality. Unlike the mega-organizations, Qobuz can remain dedicated to a chosen area in art and business - music. A digital store, which makes true, permanent ownership of music files possible ... Availability of numerous audio file formats including lossless ones ... 100M tracks (just as many as any other streaming service) ... Availability of an annual subscription plan ... Qobuz is really the only service I found that offers all of these plus a "clean" and up-to-date app with thoughtful, educational material. Trusting they will continue to offer all these features ... I think I have finally found a good streaming service for the long run.

### 5/5 — Five-star app after 2026 UI changes

*2026-08-25, version 10.0.2*

Qobuz has been my choice for Hi-Res music for many years, but I’d been bothered by some bugs and UI decisions in the past. Their recent changes resolved most of these!

### 5/5 — The best music streaming service

*2026-08-24, version 10.0.2*

With Qobuz I feel more like I’m interacting with a music library, as opposed to a database. The new interface is great - very clean and usable. The Mac app is great too - love how easy it is to assign a different audio output to Qobuz than the rest of my Mac sounds. Love the option to purchase music too. There’s a lot to love here.

### 5/5 — Awesome music

*2026-08-22, version 10.0.2*

Love it great audio files

### 5/5 — The best

*2026-08-21, version 10.0.2*

Excellent library with consistent metadata. I have never had a problem in all the years using Qobuz

### 5/5 — My best music streaming!

*2026-08-21, version 10.0.2*

Thank you!

### 5/5 — Came for the music, stayed for the software

*2026-08-18, version 10.0.2*

I’m simply amazed there are people who can still write fast, efficient software these days. This app rules, and the music selection and quality is outstanding.

### 5/5 — Love these guys and their effort to improve.

*2026-08-14, version 10.0.2*

Best streaming service by a long way — not perfect, but close.

### 5/5 — Qobuz is king of music apps

*2026-08-12, version 10.0.2*

I’ve had a qobuz subscription for 5 months now and I’m extremely I’m extremely impressed with the audio quality. It easily trumps all other music apps .also there are now lyrics available and the whole feel of the app is very impressive

### 5/5 — Best music app to use for streamer

*2026-08-10, version 10.0.2*

Really amazing streamer connection and the best out of tidal, Spotify and amazon or apple. Tidal wins for curated playlist but qobuz is also great in that. Great for music lovers and audiophiles.
