No problems there. There is no real reason to have an app with it. I don't type in multiple languages, and I don't really care about firmware updates. I can get the battery indicator using the Batteries widget built in to iOS. The shortcut keys are just not very good. The app must always run in the background to use them, which means every time I open my iPad I have to open the app again. It's just annoying. The shortcut keys can't open Google Classroom properly either, one of the main reasons I wanted them in the first place. They just ask for an account to use, and then it sits there with the Classroom logo doing absolutely nothing. Also, it only allows you to create shortcuts for certain recognized apps rather than any app on your iPad. Why can't they let you have a shortcut for whatever you want? All in all, there is no real reason to get this app. Just use the keyboard. ### 2/5 — Love the keyboard, but *2017-06-07, version 1.4* The app is not intuitive at all, and offers very limited help. Help offers nothing on setting up and using launch keys, and other functionality. Otherwise, it does pair easily, battery life is great. One would think that a company selling keyboards for 150$ would do something to raise the average rating in the appstore. The implementation is the issue. I would suggest that with the new iOS, comes the ability to launch apps with a keystroke. Not a keystroke coupled with a tap on the screen. That's not "quick". Keyboard is great but the app is useless and/or detrimental to the functioning of the keyboard. No support on the Belkin website that I can find. ### 1/5 — Belkin Qode *2017-08-01, version 1.4* This app allows you to allocate fn shortcut keys eg for mail, Safari etc. After the shortcut is allocated, you can use the fn key and the programmed key to show a drop down menu that asks you if you want to change screens? You then have to touch the screen to answer this question and the screen changes. This not really a shortcut as it would be quicker just to touch the screen in the first place? A waste of time and effort. The other function is to a change the keyboard to a different language. As I only speak English I don't think I'll have a use for it. I make relatively few typos in spite of its small size. ### 5/5 — Lifesaver APP *2016-01-17, version 1.3* I have been using a Belkin keyboard for nearly two years and it would routinely lose connectivity with my iPad. This meant I had to open settings on my iPad, go to Bluetooth, and reconnect; a time consuming, disruptive, and annoying distraction. This APP has fixed that. It allowed me to download and install a firmware update that has fixed the problem and my keyboard stays linked, or relinks automatically after a short delay. This is the single greatest productivity enhancing APP I've ever installed. Thanks to Belkin, although providing it sooner would have saved me years of frustration. ### 5/5 — Works *2015-10-09, version 1* I downloaded the latest ios for my iPad Air 2 before installing the QODE firmware update for my keyboard. The battery life indicator is a nice feature and the quick-launch for my favorite apps works great. I love the fact that you can flip the iPad and use it in portrait mode. The old keyboard still works, just the case looks horrible. I’m traveling a lot now so I don’t want such a ratty looking case. I’m taking off one star so because the case materials should be better. Months into iOS versions past 9.0, the app can't support them - there even is a firmware upgrade for the keyboard, but it can't be installed on 9.1+. Ridiculous, at this point! Get to it, Belkin!
