QParents is a secure app that provides parents of Queensland State School students with a new and exciting avenue of communication with their school. Join the thousands of parents who have already registered to gain 24-hour direct access to your student’s information and communicate with the school easily and efficiently.

With the QParents portal, you have access to everything you need to know via a single, clear student dashboard, including:

•	Student timetable,  assessment and exam dates
•	School attendance and behaviour records
•	Upcoming school excursions and events
•	Invoices and payments
•	School report cards and enrolment history 
•	Student school photo

Use QParents to manage all your children’s school needs from one convenient location by adding all school students in your family to one QParents account. You can also request updates or changes to student details using QParents, such as:

•	providing reasons for past unexplained absences
•	advising the school of future absences 
•	notifying the school of changes to student address, date of birth, and medical conditions 
•	viewing, selecting and paying outstanding invoices 

Please note that parents can only view student information using the QParents app if their student attends a school that has joined the QParents program. Parents will be invited to register for QParents by school administration once the program has been rolled out at the school.

It is supposed to be a communication app but you cannot stay signed in and have to sign in every time you use the app. For visa holders the app does not work. Their scoring process is only for citizens here in Australia. You have to take extra steps to verify your identity if you are a visa holder.

As a parent who works in cyber security, I do not trust this app’s third party identity provider, GBG PLC, with my ID or my child’s information. Giving our personal government IDs to a company that processes that information in multiple different countries is a huge risk and we are being sold to the highest bidder.

If the Dept want ms parent to use this app, fix it. It glitches or freezes so often, especially if trying to open it more than once a day. Incredibly frustrating.

This year I tried many times to use the notify of absence. When it went to put in absence details. It wouldn’t let me and just frozen then the app closed off itself. I need to message to the school directly.

Not sure of the investment by the Queensland government into this application, but it is possibly one of the worst I’ve ever used. It’s lumbering doesn’t respond and needs to re-launching all the time and it’s certainly nothing to do with my device. Another government decision and waste of money forcing people app apps attempting to streamline processes and it’s just not fit for purpose terrible

This is the worst app I’ve used in a long time. Trying to put in an absence using the app on your phone is a nightmare. Everything is enlarged and you have to constantly scroll to see anything. It’s been over a month and no one has bothered to fix it. Another great government initiative!
