This app seems to draw out polarizing feedback and count me on the ultra negative side. Was just looking for a simple, free, basic QR generator to create a single QR code, not bulk generation. What I got for free was a QR code that opens not to the URL I specified, but to a “splash page” advertising this app with a link to the URL I desired. Sorry, that’s not the definition of “free”.

I need to print QR codes, plus text, for a simple serial number tracking system. The only solution I had before discovering this app was to one-by-one type up codes, click and drag, etc., etc. SO time consuming, almost canned the whole thing. After using this app, I can finally step it up, and track serial numbers for my products! Thank you! Very worth the $29.99 lifetime subscription too.

Having used multiple other sources such as Bitly, the intrusive ads that they placed infant of the QR destination was not what we wanted our viewing customers to see. SO… we tried this app. It is EXACTLY the solution we needed and works VERY well!

Look, I don’t mind paying a developer 0.99 or even 2.99 or 3.99 for a really useful app that is nice to work with, but SUBSCRIBING to a QR Generator is silly and borderline offensive.

UPDATE 2yrs later:
I finally managed to get the upgrade to v3 perpetual automatically for £9.99 UK which seems pretty reasonable. Updating my rating from 1 to 4 stars as the software itself does a decent job.

ORIGINAL REVIEW:
I paid for a perpetual licence for version 2 in the App store about a year ago and I use it about once a month.  I came to re-install it today on my new Mac and version 2 is no longer available in the app store. When I "restore purchases" with version 3, it tells me there are no purchases to restore.

The only option seems to be pay again for version 3 (which is pretty pricey) so I am opting to purchase a different QR code generator from a more trustworthy vendor.

Had an academic poster bibliography to do.  QR generator could not handle 7 pages of text.  Broke it down to 2 documents and QR code reader still could not handle.  It only worked for another section which was a few sentences long.
