I use the app to track student attendance and it works just as well as other more expensive solutions. I contacted the developer with some feature requests and the app was updated almost immediately! 

The front-facing camera is a game changer for attendance. We can now set up a self-check-in station where students can scan continuously. They can see where they are placing their QR code on the screen, and the audio beep gives them confirmation that their scan went through.
