## What is QR Trust Check?

QR codes are everywhere — but do you know where they actually lead?

QR Trust Check scans any QR code and instantly tells you whether it's safe before you tap, connect, or share. Whether it's a link, a Wi-Fi network, a contact card, or something else entirely, QR Trust Check gives you the full picture in seconds.

Threat Intelligence, Built In
Every URL is checked against three independent threat databases — URLhaus, Google Safe Browsing, and VirusTotal — so you get a reliable safety verdict, not just one opinion.

See Where Links Really Go
Many QR codes use URL shorteners or redirect chains that hide the true destination. QR Trust Check follows every hop, flags HTTPS downgrades, and shows you exactly where you'd end up — before you get there.

Know Who Owns the Domain
View domain registration details, registrar information, and domain age. Newly registered domains are flagged automatically, a common sign of phishing sites.

Understands Every QR Code Type
QR Trust Check doesn't just scan links. It recognizes and displays:
• Wi-Fi credentials — see the network name, security type, and password
• Contact cards — view all vCard fields and copy contacts directly
• Email, phone, and SMS — open your apps with one tap
• Locations — open in Maps instantly
• Calendar events — see event details at a glance
• Plain text — view and copy with ease

Your Keys, Your Control
Works out of the box with built-in API support. Add your own Google Safe Browsing and VirusTotal API keys in Settings for expanded access.

QR Trust Check does not guarantee detection of all threats. Always exercise caution when scanning QR codes from unknown sources.
