Each scan reveals a fossil piece from a themed excavation site somewhere in the world's most famous fossil beds. HOW TO PLAY Launch the app, and aim the scanner at any QR code (on a receipt, a business card, a product package, or anywhere else) to scan it. Each scan unearths a random discovery from species including dinosaurs, Ice Age mammals, ancient hominids, and mythological cryptids. Every species is made up of 8 fossil fragments (from skulls and ribs to claws and complete skeletons) each with unique flavor text describing what you've found and where it originated.
