QRift turns your iPhone into a precision QR code scanner and generator. Detect any QR code in under a second. Create professional QR codes for URLs, text, WiFi, contacts, and email. Every scan and creation is saved to a searchable archive.

Point your camera at any QR code. QRift detects and decodes it in milliseconds with smart content recognition. The app identifies whether the code contains a URL, WiFi network, contact card, email address, or plain text, then presents the right action:

QRift requires no account and shows no ads. Scanning, parsing, and code generation run entirely on your device, and your QR content is never uploaded. The only thing QRift sends is a bug report you write and submit yourself from Settings, which carries your message, your app and iOS versions, your device model, and your email address if you choose to add one. Failed favorite changes now recover cleanly, QR payload validation stays within the generator's supported capacity, and Larger Text support is more consistent across the app.

Six lines in the App Store description described things QRift does not do. They have been corrected rather than left standing.

QRift copies contact details from a scanned vCard to your clipboard. It does not save them to your address book, and the description said it did.

The badge on each history row shows whether that code was scanned or created. The description called it a content type badge.

The 60fps camera preview claim is gone. The app never asked for a particular frame rate, so it was a number with nothing behind it.

Pro export writes SVG and PDF. The description also listed PNG.

A history entry can be copied, shared or deleted. The description said it could be reused, and there is no such thing.

The text limit is 2,000 characters, not 2,500. Above that the code silently failed to generate.

There is also a fix to the review prompt, which could mark you as already asked without the prompt ever appearing.

### 1.1.1 — 2026-08-06

Report Bug now lives in Settings. Write what went wrong, optionally leave your email, and send it without leaving the app or opening Mail.

Fixed saves that could fail silently. Creating a code showed a success banner even when the History write failed, so the code was gone and nothing told you. Failures now surface in the alert.

Fixed a duplicate-image trap. When the photo saved but the History write failed, the only retry was Save Image again, which wrote a second copy to your library. There is now a History-only recovery for the exact item that was dropped.

History deletes and single-item saves are all or nothing.

History now survives a store that fails to open at launch.

Pro retries loading its product before you tap Buy, so the purchase is less likely to be unavailable.
