## What is QSchools?

Queensland school communities can interact with their favourite state schools using the QSchools smartphone app.

The QSchools app is a convenient way to receive up-to-the-minute information from and about schools.

While all schools are searchable using the app, the full app features are designed to integrate with the department’s preferred school website platform, to allow users to see when news, events and newsletters are posted to their selected school website. Users can also see other useful information provided by the school, such as tuckshop menus, uniform shop information, class times and the school’s and the department’s social media feeds.

The school community can also receive emergency announcements such as natural disasters and school closures through the app.

The QSchools app is particularly useful to parents who have students in different schools, as the app manages updates from multiple schools.

### 2/5 — Calendar information doesn't have details

This app doesn't have a 'details' view for calendar items, which in my opinion, is the most useful part of the application. Events are spread across 'Events' and 'Calendar' which is also crummy.

### 2.10 — 2020-10-21

The following changes have been made:
- Update to the information on the 'About QSchools' page
- Bug fix for iPads running iPadOS 13 to enable users to navigate to the Home menu in Portrait.
- Modify the interval the application sends information back to Websites for Schools
- Correct an issue in the iOS application when sharing/copying/opening a web page

### 2.9 — 2020-03-05

Updates and improvements made to ensure push notifications and badges continue to function on iOS 13 and iPad OS13.  

Known Issues:
1. When using the app on an iPad running iPad OS13, you are unable to navigate to the slide-out menu on the left hand side of the screen unless you use the app in landscape mode. 
2. The ability to search for an address in the ‘School Search > Map Search’ and ‘School Search > Schools Near Me’ maps has been temporarily disabled. The ability to zoom in and out of the map still functions.  

These known issues will be addressed in a future release.

Add functionality to delete all favourites that are in excess of the maximum threshold (10).

Add functionality to limit the number of schools that can be set as a favourite to 10 plus technical updates.
