Also when you go from camera to type in something and back to camera. Please fix soon! ### 3/5 — As a real McDonalds employee: *2020-12-31, version 2020.11.3* I’ll list the pros and cons of this app. Cons: •App will randomly log you out after awhile, even if you’re in the middle of counting inventory. •The default keyboard is soooo slow. Typing fast is impossible as it’ll start to miss letters. •The camera barcode scanner is unreliable. There’s no feedback on why the barcode isn’t scanning. It should default to a number pad to enter the WRIN when scan was unsuccessful. •The submit inventory button takes up the entirety of the bottom of the screen. Accidentally presses happen to often. Make it smaller or put it at the top of the screen in the header. •there should be a button for the keypad, similar to the camera button. •I can’t sort my past counts by time so if I click save but need to add to it, I have to either scan it or search for it all over again. Pros: •Being able to add to a count by just pressing the arrow keys saves a lot of time. •Being able to completely skip entering it into the computer is nice. •As bad as it is, it is nice being able to scan the barcodes with my camera. Not many pros, but this app has potential. I hope they give the devs the budget to work on it more. ### 4/5 — Needs a route *2020-10-30, version 2020.10.21* I like the fact that you don’t have to enter the entire WRIN to get the item pulled up, but I wish that there was an option to put in a route. When you are in the freezer and your fingers are freezing and the bar code won’t scan, it’s a pain to have to type in the WRIN. And having a route set up, it would make counting in the freezer that much faster. Other than that, I really like it better than using the info recorder that I used before ### 3/5 — Great app, saves so much time! But.. *2020-10-30, version 2020.10.21* I use the app on my phone. It restarts and deletes my counts entirely if I have to open another app or I’m receiving a phone call. Everything else is so convenient, tho- the red, yellow, and green marks, the barcode scanner, the simplicity.. I love it ### 3/5 — Okay start, needs work. Will update as app is updated. *2020-10-30, version 2020.10.21* I’ll make this brief and to the point The good -Being able to search and add inventory by WRIN or name is convenient. -Being able to put in waste is great especially when store internet is down or spotty. -Not having to sync the computer and info reader is way simpler to get started on your inventory. The things that need improvement. -By far the most important thing that needs fixing, the app needs to have its inventory locally cached or something, it’ll log you out and force you to start over, this has happened to me twice, once at the start which is no big deal, another after two hours of work. This makes me hesitant to adopt this as the main way to log inventory. Also, give me an option to disable auto deleting the inventory after a set time, I don’t need a time limit hanging over my head while working, and it’s set to 2 or 3 hours by default, why? -Not sure if it’s my iOS version but a lot of my icons are just questions marks as if they’re missing icons or something, I figured out how it works with experimentation but come on. -Add a remember me option, I don’t want to have to manually log in every-time. -Let me search by WRINs without hyphens. -Could be just me but when inputting text it will miss some of my inputs because I imagine it’s searching through the database to find matches so it lags and makes me have to slow type to get what I want. -Can we add an option to toggle the flashlight when scanning for barcodes, the camera isn’t as reliable as an infrared light so it needs some help Please fix that log out issue as soon as you can I don’t want to be nervous doing inventory hoping to god I don’t open it back up to have it be deleted every time I work. This would be EVEN better if the ITEM on the list was clickable. Kind of pointless having a list of you have to go back outside of the list to count. Maybe something to think about. But on your QSR inventory app it doesn’t appear. As it may not seem to be a “needed” option, it would be greatly appreciated for your McDonalds clients because our walk in freezers are so unbearably cold at times and I wish I could just say how many of each case I’m inputting into the app, instead of having to keep my gloves off and type when my hands are already freezing. The app is perfect regardless of this. This is only a suggestion. Thank you for your time. ### 5/5 — Things to add *2020-11-08, version 2020.10.21* 1.) I want to use my iPhones keyboard, not the app’s keyboard. The app’s keyboard is slow and takes too long. 2.) Being able to see actual variance numbers rather than simply green/yellow/red would be great. Maybe add a sub page to the normal inventory page. 3.) There should be a horizontal mode on the app, not only vertical. 4.) Work with dcsync to be able to check a stores order via app. **Developer response:** Hi, Thank you for your feedback. I am sorry to hear the keyboard is not working well for you. Would you please submit a support ticket so we can trouble shoot why the App keyboard is slower? I can tell you the red, yellow, and greens are supposed to guide you without showing an actual number as part of the design in Cash and Inventory. Green are 0-5% plus or minus, Yellow are 6-19% plus or minus, and Red is over 20% plus or minus. We have some training available on QsrSoft Academy that may help or we would be happy to help more if you call our number 877-349-3424. We are working on the app having more functionality and will open a request for the horizontal mode. Also we are planning a way to check in the truck via the app that will be coming in 2021. It’s easy to navigate and shows when your numbers are in green, yellow, or red. ### 4/5 — Almost great *2026-02-27, version 2026.2.20* I only just recently started using this because I prefer the info recorder, but our broke. There are a couple features that I wish were available. 1) The ability to collapse locations when completing inventory so that once a section has been completed you can make them smaller so it’s easier to scroll through. 2) Every time I have to use the number pad to enter an amount instead of pressing +/- it automatically scrolls back to the top of the list. This means that sometimes I have to press the + button 30 times to avoid having to scroll down to find my place. With just those 2 changes it would make using the app so much easier! ### 4/5 — Bug/annoyance *2025-03-11, version 2025.2.4* When editing a count with a typed in number (i.e. adding .5) instead of using the plus/minus buttons the current list of counts resets its view to the top, wasting time by making you scroll all the way back to where you were previously.
