Required Improvements: -Navigation, itinerary is nice but would be nice if app would keep us on track either way navigation. -rest areas and shelters often hide behind trail numbers and not as visible as they should. -when recording, itinerary track gets lost in the recording track. **Developer response:** thank you for the comment! Hopefully this is fixed soon or I will have to switch apps. **Developer response:** We are sorry for the inconvenience. This might be OK in the winter, but any other time of the year?? My quad, unfortunately, doesn’t float. ### 3/5 — Average ATV map *2022-01-02, version 2.0.1* Map is good but not 100% accurate/up to date. Nice to see where it is legal to ride on the street. I do not like the fact it always runs in the back ground if you do bot completely close the app. I still prefer to use my handheld GPS but use it to get general direction. Hope to see it improve in the future as more people pay for it. ### 3/5 — Great start, needs work *2021-05-18* Be great if while in satellite view the road names and towns/cities didn’t disappear. Also an overlay of snowmobile trails and or dirts roads would help a lot when trying to connect two trails. Also a more colour blind friendly colour scheme for open and closed trails would be the cherry on top, fix all that and it’d be 5/5 **Developer response:** Hi there, thanks for your feedback! Ride safe, The Mapgears Team ### 4/5 — Good but things are missing *2026-08-20* I’m from Nova Scotia so I didn’t know the area at all. I found there were many trails not shown on the map. It was obvious that numerous ATVs were using that trail. Also the numbers on the trails were confusing. There are numbers on the signs that do not match the trail map. There were also a couple areas leaving Adairs, heading to St. Martin that mapped trail was not being used anymore and an alternate road was. It wasn’t that it was extremely difficult to figure out. But the mapping changes should be made. You can see the current list of clubs at https://quadnb.ca/contact-us/#section-201-1758 Please contact your local club to report any missing trail. Ride safely! ### 5/5 — Nice app to help stay unlosted *2024-09-13* I like the app but a couple things that would make this the best app. If recorded rides were recorded with a thinner line and maybe partially opaque when zooming in. Love being able to log my own rides to build a trail map. A great feature would be to download satellite images for offline use. This feature could help new users immensely. **Developer response:** Thank you for your comments! We will share them with our team for future improvements. Please note that the satellite view is already available via the legend button in the bottom-right corner of the map. If you use it at home on wifi and zoom in and out on different areas, the satellite images for these specific areas and zoom levels will remain available later when offline. It's not as simple and user-friendly as downloading and saving images for future use like you suggest, we agree, but we thought you might like to know about that possibility anyway.
