## What is Quaestor?

Quaestor is a premium iPad and iPhone learning system for educators pursuing school business officer certification — adaptive to all 50 states. It is not a study app. It is a transformation system — built so that 5 minutes a day compounds, over months, into the operating mind of a high-level school CFO.

Two modes. One disciplined loop.

DAILY MODE
The hook. One tap from app icon to first question. 3–7 minutes of mixed reps across the seven question types: choose-one, true/false, match, fill-blank, spot-the-mistake, micro-scenario, and board-explain. Every wrong answer ends with "Why this matters in a real district." Every correct answer compounds into XP, streak, level, and per-skill mastery.

COMMAND MODE
The transformation. Five deep tracks:

• Learning Paths — Structured lessons covering what a school business officer does, fund accounting, the budget cycle, your state's funding formula, levy and pension systems, and how to talk money to the board. Each lesson is a 5-section pattern: what it is, why it matters, real district example, common mistake, quick practice.

• Simulator — Run real scenarios. Enrollment drops, audit findings, levy decisions, salary negotiations, delayed state aid. Each decision moves four live impact dials: budget, compliance, political, student. End-of-scenario debrief grades your CSBO mindset.

• Dashboard Lab — A mock district P&L. Pull live levers (enrollment, salary increase, levy, funding tier, transportation) and watch fund balance, days cash, and surplus or deficit recompute in real time.

• Document Decoder — Paste a paragraph from an AFR, audit, levy notice, or salary schedule. The decoder highlights what a school business officer would notice and flags what to watch.

• Board Meeting Mode — Pick a topic. Type your 3–5 sentence board explanation. Get scored on clarity, accuracy, and leadership tone.

Plus a searchable glossary of 100+ terms per state — each with a plain-English definition, a real example, why it matters, related terms, and a quick check with explanation.

Plus exam practice tuned to your state's certification (ILTS CSBO, ASBO SFO, CASBO CBO, PASBO CPSBA, and more) in 10, 25, 50, and full-length 100-question timed sets, with explanations after every question and attempt history.

STATE-AWARE
Pick your state on first launch and Quaestor tunes the entire app: funding formula, pension system, certification path, statutes, and authoritative sources all swap to match. Switch states any time from Settings.

DESIGN
Premium clean interface. Light + dark modes. Sapphire-blue accent. iPad split layouts on every major screen — Glossary, Foundations, Simulator, Exam Prep, Sources — that turn the iPad into a leadership-development surface, not a phone scaled up.
