### 3/5 — Moon man

*2015-06-07, version 1.9*

It doesn't want to let me know, when an earthquake happens.(I set the badges alerts section n it still won't let me know WHEN the earth quake happens!!
I'd buy the Pro version,if I can get the ALERTS,when that happen, just to support your app.)
Now u won't even post my rating. I think I'll delete the app. Next,if I don't see my rating!!!

### 4/5 — Cool

*2011-12-05, version 1.7*

The app is pretty cool but it crashes on iOS 5 please fix.

### 4/5 — Works fine

*2011-09-08, version 1.7*

I have had no problems but don't use the notifications. I like the historical earthquakes as the other EQ app I use limits by number and hence quickly loses original event when there are swarms or many aftershocks.

### 3/5 — Historical data

*2011-05-26, version 1.7*

iOS 4.2 - It crashes first time an individual historical record is accessed; historical data is not accurate always. Recent records are okay.

### 4/5 — Buena herramienta

*2011-05-15, version 1.7*

Vale realmente la pena esta aplicación, en especial por sus opciones de configuración para visualización de sismos.

### 4/5 — 地形図と見比べられる

*2011-04-12, version 1.7*

ピンのドロップに時間がかかるがGoogleマップと連動しているので地形図と見比べられるのが良い。やっぱり沈み込み帯での地震が多いことが解る。

### 3/5 — Hit and Miss

*2011-03-14, version 1.7*

I got this app after the minor tremors in the UK last year. A great app to view earthquakes as a past event. Great interface with the map and sorting of events. However a quake events should be listed by country/City. Currently the description is too long on the results screen and you have to drill down to find out where it is. The notifications are also very slow. The recent devastation in Japan was notified over a day after the event (We wish all those in Japan our wishes) You are best watching the news to hear about tectonic events rather than the app.

### 3/5 — Good app "but"

*2011-02-22, version 1.7*

This app gets 3 stars for now because it crashes every-time I connect to Facebook. Apart from this issue I find the app very user friendly

### 3/5 — ...

*2011-01-16, version 1.6*

Touch a button to view something else and crashy, crash, crash, CRASH! Hope that's fixed soon.

### 3/5 — OK but not great

*2011-01-15*

I happened to download this less than 2 weeks before the Christchurch quake - the perfect acid test. And I have to say it didn't pass with flying colours. Location was spot on, but the magnitude was slightly out, and the depth of a quake is never mentioned. Most disappointing was the fact that most of the aftershocks have not shown up, despite its claim to show every earthquake 1.0 and above. Even the Boxing Day aftershock never got a mention. At least this version has ditched its American-centric approach and now you can load New Zealand straight away, instead of starting with the USA then having to go to "regions" then "NZ".

### 3/5 — Doesn't send notices!

*2011-01-03, version 1.6*

It will show you where quakes hit but in two years has never sent me a notice, like it claims it will!

### 2/5 — Crashes

*2010-12-04, version 0*

It worked fine for a while, but now will only display quakes for the last 30 days. When I press the button for 7 days or 1 day, the app closes.

### 3/5 — Facebook functionality fail

*2010-10-21, version 0*

I just want a simple app to track quakes in my region and share them on fb. This app seems to have it, but doesn't deliver. Directs me to press a button that isn't actually there. Sigh. Will keep searching.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — No Australian data

*2018-01-24, version 2.15*

There has been several quakes confirmed to have occurred in the last few days in Coffs Harbour , New South Wales Australia but they have not been seen on your app ! Why ?

### 1/5 — No correct information

*2016-05-09, version 1.9*

Missing Fukushima and others

### 1/5 — Needs better ui and a refresh button

*2012-01-01, version 1.7*

Takes forever to pull in recent quake data.

### 1/5 — Crap

*2011-11-20, version 1.7*

### 1/5 — Crashes DOES NOT WORK

*2011-08-23, version 1.7*

app loads but does not show any data. There is an XML parser error so nothing can be displayed.

### 1/5 — Instabil

*2011-03-21, version 1.7*

Stürzt oft ab! Update?

### 1/5 — It crashes a lot

*2010-12-25, version 1.6*

Like every 3 secs.
Not worthy the time

### 1/5 — Fed up

*2010-12-22, version 1.6*

If you need historical information, this app is OK... but without the features of many other quake apps (push notifications for quakes in particular areas), it's really not that exciting and can't stand alone if you're wanting to keep up to date with current quakes.

It crashes a lot.

Also I cannot get rid of a notification bubble which appeared after a notification about the oil leak in the Gulf of Mexico ending (which was totally irrelevant to this app anyway). Have tried deleting app & reinstalling, but it's still there. Will probably just delete.

### 1/5 — Not up-to-date info!

*2010-04-07, version 0*

Not up-to-date info!

### 1/5 — Quake info offline after today's7.2

*2010-04-05, version 0*

Really why did it have to choke ( no quake data) after a scary eathquake? I ended up going to usgs.gov. Please work as described. I used to like it. But very disappointed today.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — 👍

*2019-10-17, version 2.15*

The best option to look for earthquakes on the phone

### 5/5 — Still My favorite earthquake app

*2011-09-05, version 1.7*

Wonder why it did not pick up the swarm in Canary Islands?

### 5/5 — Great!

*2011-04-11, version 1.7*

### 5/5 — Exellent app

*2011-03-12, version 1.7*

is a must.

### 5/5 — Update fix please crash

*2011-03-11, version 1.7*

Update please, Keeps closing down!!!!!!

### 5/5 — Graphs

*2010-07-08, version 0*

Great app. It would be nice if you could chart frequency and severity over time and region.

### 5/5 — A Really Good App

*2010-06-27, version 0*

Just upgraded to Quakezones Pro for the push notifications and better servers, but this free version has tons of great information!

### 5/5 — Most powerful earthquake app

*2010-05-29, version 0*

I've tried 3 other competing earthquake apps and this one is the best. For the simple reason that you can select any time period and magnitude range you want. It's not perfect yet- there are a couple minor issues that need fixing. But the developers are very responsive (more so than any I've come across) and I'm sure they will be fixed. For its main function, this app is perfect, and fast. If you plan to use it a lot I would definitely upgrade to the Pro, for the dedicated servers.

### 5/5 — GET THIS APP!!! Truly a 5 star app.

*2010-05-25, version 0*

Why this app is the best earthquake app out there right now:

1. It is well designed and easy to use. (Click as many buttons as you can to get a good feel for the app)
2. It has historical data, up to 30 years worth!
3. It has a map AND a sortable list view
4. It has search, with autocompletion built-in!!!
5. You can adjust setting to see as many or as few earthquakes, by magnitude range. Cool!
6. You get a bunch of facts and can even watch videos.

This is definitely worth $1.99 or more. Very glad I grabbed this now vs later.

Update: It now has push notifications. Definitely 5 stars!

### 5/5 — I had no idea...

*2010-05-15, version 0*

...that there were so many earthquakes happening all over the world all the time. Really like the ability to see earthquake history too. This is a really great app, and I can't believe that it's FREE. It's one I'll keep and use often.

Update: Thanks for fixing the distance calc's.
