Why not let me try out the pro features while the voice keeps interrupting? Combination with Soft Drummer is not bad and saves me from fill queues. Blueboard works well with QL but allows only limited operations which expectedly need some improvements in future versions. Now it’s satisfactory…maybe too much for just a looper. ### 4/5 — Brilliant concept hampered by random tempo fluctuations *2021-06-13, version 2.98* I use the Boss RC-300 hardware looper. Quantiloop seems to me to be very like the Better Boss loopers so I gave it a go. It works very well with my iRig Blueboard, but I would not trust Quantiloop in a live situation, due to random and, to me, inexplicable doubling or tripling of tempo. If Stephan could fix this I would be very happy. ### 5/5 — Well thought through *2021-04-02, version 2.98* There are a few small caveats, but overall this is a great looper. Loving it! ### 5/5 — Amazing looper *2021-02-25* I bought this to get into looping and have not been disappointed. I had a small one track/one button pedal looper but quickly found it limiting. Quantiloop on the other hand is like having TWO Boss RC500s side by side.I bought the app and added an iRig Blueboard which connects thru Bluetooth midi and a generic iPad camera adapter which allows me to plug a USB cable and my iPad power supply to my iPad. I have also hooked it up with an Arturia minilab mk2 through USB midi. I can then play through my Positive Grid Spark amp (which has a USB input) and also with my Soundcraft Notepad12fx USB mixer. With the mixer, I can even send the metronome track individually to my earphones while the loops play out to the stereo mains. The features on this app are extremely impressive. There is a small learning curve because there are so many options and possibilities but I don’t think it’s harder to learn than any other multitrack looper. The inputs and outputs on the looper can be configured in numerous ways so one thing to consider is that if you are going to be purchasing an audio interface for this, you should choose one with 4 ins and 4 outs. The Notepad 12fx mixer has this and I’ve seen YouTubers using the Behringer UMC404mc with success. One more thing to consider is getting a footswitch with more than 4 pedals since there are other options you might want to control apart from the 4 loop channels, for example start/stop, overdub, rhythm start etc. All in all, this is an amazing app worth every penny! ### 4/5 — Looks Promising *2020-12-27* It’s 1/2 off rn and if 10$ and my existing gear can replace a $500 pedal as my last looper slowly glitches to death, then it’s a done deal. I hope it’s stable enough to gig with; I won’t personally be playing any venues serious enough where mistakes wouldn’t be tolerated so my future review of this app will be on the other “Pro” version of the app. The upgrade from this free version is 1$ cheaper which can be helpful to some, I chose the pro version because they’re separate apps in the store and I didn't want to take any chances. So far the free version had no trouble recognizing my presonus iAudioBox interface, or the individual MIDI controllers, on an iPad mini 2, no distortion from electric bass. Ignore the 1 star review about the interrupting voice, the reviewer didn't understand it’s not a free app, the dev made a free version to ‘try before buy.’ You can activate a free 7 day trial to see if it suits you, which is rare enough with professional audio apps so just make sure to press and start the demo on the initial pop-up screen. I was able to test all my gear inputs for several minutes before even starting the trial and I never heard it outside that splash page so no worries. ### 5/5 — Espectacular *2020-11-08, version 2.96* App completa e impresionante por su versatilidad y capacidad de acción. I trashed it after a few minutes of trying to assess it because of the ridiculous spoken “buy the full version” message that blurts out every minute. After that, I went through a bit of learning curve, and it paid off. Just to explore Quantiloop’s possibilities, I tried to duplicate my Boomerang 3; I found all the settings necessary, and was successful; I now have a Boomerang 3 with unlimited recording time, built-in selectable AUv3 effects, and preset save and recall. You guys need to take the time to learn how these things work before you trash it in a review. PS: since getting Quantiloop figured out and set up to work with the Behringer FCB 1010, I have experimented with Loopy Pro, and found it to be as flexible and unlimited as everyone says; but this flexibility comes with a gigantic learning curve that I was unwilling to invest. Remaining with Quantiloop which I already have set up to do everything I need and then some… ### 5/5 — Interessante ma.. *2023-07-22, version 2.98.4* L'app è molto interessante con tante funzioni ma proprio per questo non è proprio semplice da gestire. Almeno per me. La pecca forse più grande è che non c'è la possibilità di avere un backup di tutta la 'macchina', dei loop registrati, impostazioni etc. In poche parole, non hai niente altro che quello che realizzi sul tuo dispositivo. Rischi quindi di buttare via tutto il lavoro fatto in caso di problemi col tuo ipad. Nè di poter trasferire il tutto su un diverso dispositivo. Poi, assistenza inesistente. Contattata diverse volte per informazioni ma mai una risposta. ### 5/5 — Brilliant. *2023-05-28, version 2.98.4* I’m using this with Bias Fx and Thu over loud for the guitar sounds and Lumbeats rock drummer lite and Drum Jam for the drums. Fairly easy to use and a brilliant tool for practice and recording ideas to jam to. Live use would be a little interesting though - I have an iPad 8th gen and sometimes the drums won’t load properly, sometimes the guitar fx won’t load and I have to close and re-load the app to get everything to talk to each other. And there’s the occasional glitch/stutter. Having said that, it’s my go-to practice rig and apart from the occasional glitch, is just awesome. Have been using a positive grid Riff and an Xsonic xtone as input. If only I could have had this 30 years ago!!!
