But most of them fail to deliver any useful information. Basically they do not work. Yes it tells you account info and your billing history. However, the lights continued to flash showing that it was working. That led me to spend hours fiddling with the routers. An hour on the phone with quantum customer support was utterly fruitless. Technician visit was scheduled for the next day; somehow he couldn’t manage to make the four hour window. Perhaps he will be here soon. I don’t have any idea because they don’t let you know, even though I’ve been waiting five hours so far. So if you have an older system that runs on 2.4 gHz and go to select the Quantum 2.4 gHz WiFi, it doesn’t show up on the list of available WiFi networks. ### 2/5 — App trouble *2026-08-15, version 2.9.6* The app doesn’t work like it should and regularly has issues and won’t load information once logged in. Support is even worse they are basically just human versions repeating the troubleshoot steps you have to do. Then they’ll offer you credits for the errors that never actually come. It’s been two weeks and I can’t access it. Truly remarkable in quality. ### 2/5 — Needs downtime/outage detection *2026-08-06, version 2.9.6* The main purpose of these network apps is to report downtime and give customers an ETA when the network is restored. The app should detect if the WiFi is down and automatically switch over to cellular. You need a simple screen showing your outage, when it started, and the ETR (estimated resolution time). The chat and the AI are worthless. Put real people with real understanding behind the phone. ### 1/5 — Pain. *2026-08-05, version 2.9.6* We have been trying to get internet set up for almost four days now. We got hung up on twice. Customer service seems to not know anything. The parental controls are limited and typically impact all devices on the WiFi. Ethernet plugins are fine but the controls impact devices even if they aren’t selected in the list of devices for a parent control. For example, I block my kid’s laptop at 8pm but then my cell phone is also blocked from the WiFi. ### 1/5 — The worst company *2026-08-19, version 2.9.6* I signed up for quantum after I got rid of Xfinity because xfinity is one of the worst companies in existence. Sadly, quantum is just as bad if not worse. The reliability and speed is much much worse and their customer service is just as bad. Since the day I got the service, it has been slow and very unreliable. Even after replacing the modem it is still slow and unreliable. Just making a service appointment took hours of waiting on the phone and then trying to deal with their inept chats. The second time I had a service appointment the technician never showed up and the people whom I was dealing with on the chats were not helping me at all. One representative even disconnected himself from me instead of just telling me why the technician never showed up. I talked to three different people on chat and not one could give me a straight answer on why the technician hadn’t showed up. The setup was intuitive. The parental controls are great - I able to create profiles and assign devices those profiles. ### 5/5 — App will not accept password *2025-04-22, version 2.3.1* I have tried several different passwords and I even tried reinstalling the app, but it will not accept my password. I can sign into my account with a PC/Mac, but the app is worthless. Sadly, it has to be used to configure the wireless. If the wireless continues to work I won’t need the app. Update to my review. I emailed the app developer and told them about the problem. They fixed the issue within days of the email. I have to say I am impressed by their quick response. The app is now working. They did a great job.
