## What is Que Arbol Es?

QAE - Que Arbol Es - Juega y aprende a identificar árboles

La app QAE - Que Arbol Es ofrece dos opciones, Jugar e Identificar, con un doble objetivo:
— Desafiar la capacidad del usuario para identificar árboles, con la opción Jugar.
— Ayudarle a conocer e identificar árboles frecuentes en calles, parques y jardines, por medio de la opción Identificar.

El propósito de esta app gratuita para iPhone es fomentar el conocimiento e interés por los árboles y sensibilizar en el cuidado de la naturaleza y el medioambiente.

JUGAR
— El juego desafía al usuario a que identifique el mayor número posible de árboles de forma correlativa.
— El usuario verá dos pistas por árbol: imágenes de las hojas y de las flores, frutos o semillas.
— Y cuatro o cinco posibles respuestas entre las que elegir. (El usuario puede personalizar la app para jugar con 4 ó 5 posibles respuestas)
— Si pulsa la respuesta correcta, la app le mostrará el siguiente árbol a identificar. 
— Pero si falla, la partida termina y la app le ofrecerá la opción de jugar de nuevo. 
— En todo momento, el marcador muestra la puntuación (número de árboles acertados) en la partida en curso y la puntuación récord alcanzada por el usuario en todas sus partidas anteriores.
— A medida que conozca más sobre árboles, usando por ejemplo la opción Identificar, y practique el juego, el usuario de la app conseguirá superar su récord de árboles identificados en una partida.
— El objetivo es mejorar la puntuación récord hasta lograr el reto de identificar en una partida los 62 árboles de esta edición de la app.

IDENTIFICAR
— Ayuda al usuario a conocer e identificar árboles frecuentes en entornos urbanos.
— El punto de partida para la identificación es la pista más inmediata y fácil de examinar de un árbol: sus hojas.
— La app empieza pidiendo al usuario que seleccione la forma de hoja más parecida a la del árbol que quiere identificar.
— Y le propone una selección de árboles con ese tipo de hoja, para iniciar la exploración.
— Para cada árbol, la app ofrece información e imágenes de las pistas relevantes a las que hay que prestar atención: hojas; flores, frutos y semillas; y tronco, corteza y aspecto o porte del árbol.
— A través de las fotos y detalles a observar, la app ayudará al usuario a identificar el árbol en cuestión.

La app está basada en cerca de 200 fotos de árboles frecuentes en calles, parques y jardines. Y en la amplia base documental recogida en el libro interactivo y gratuito para iPad y Mac del mismo nombre: ¿Qué árbol es?

Fantastic app 
It’s so easy to whip out the app and identify frequent trees in streets, parks and gardens with the Identify option. When you first open the app you see two options, Play and Identify. The Play option will challenge your ability to identify trees. The Identify option helps you identify frequent trees in streets, parks and gardens. It's been a long time since I identified and collected plants in the wild and this app helped me have fun to identify some of the local trees in urban environments. The app offers information and images of the relevant clues to watch out for including leaves, flowers, fruits and seeds, and trunk. Initially, I instantly pressed on the Play button to accept the challenge to identify the largest possible number of trees. I learned quickly that I needed to learn more about trees, using the Identify option and play the challenge later to beat their record for the number of trees identified in a game. I’ll get there as I am curious to learn more about trees and their leave shapes and challenge others through my learning journey. 

I am beyond impressed. It’s an extremely useful and super FUN teaching tool which I enthusiastically recommend it with no conflict of interest.

Solo en Madrid ciudad hay 210 especies de árboles diferentes. Con esta app puedes identificarlos en tan solo segundos. Una fantástica herramienta para aprender que además tiene una parte lúdica, perfecta para asentar los conocimientos y para pasar el rato.
