Akron needs to pull the finger out and get their act together because this is absolutely ridiculous! They are just joking themselves in front of the world! It rarely works and for an expensive system to find out the app is useless especially in a multi storey house is frustrating ! Change the temp, and 5 seconds later it bounces back to what it was in the first place. Not so with this app unfortunately since you can’t set the actual time of day. This one small addition would make it more useful. And has gotten progressively worse over time. Actron has no interest in supporting existing customers, as you can see from the version history of this app, the terrible reviews, and the complete neglect to fix bugs. I would rate lower if I could. ### 1/5 — Horrible & horrific *2024-03-09, version 1.1.6* The worst app I’ve ever used. We’ve had this system for 2 years now and its only gotten worse over time, consistently not working in terms of turning on/off zones, adjusting temperature, literally making any change at all requires multiple attempts before it works and sometimes we have to resort to using the master controller anyway. It also keeps logging us out repeatedly. Just the worst. ### 1/5 — Buggy *2024-03-05, version 1.1.6* Great concept, the UX is nice and similar to the wall screen, but the app is so glitchy. Almost always needing to force close and reopen to get the status to update. It’s slow to respond. But my biggest complaint is that it always logs me out, and half the time won’t accept my credentials to log back in. I wish it was also co figured to have iOS password chain store compatibility but it just doesn’t work. ### 1/5 — Pathetic *2024-02-09, version 1.1.6* Honestly this app was bad and it has become useless. After paying 25k for a system I was told is the best smart air conditioner, for the app to be so terrible was not what I expected. I wish now that I got a Mitsubishi. The most basic of functions don’t work. I’ve got brilliant high speed internet with the absolute best netgear mesh system yet on the app - you change the temperature and after a few seconds, it reverts back. It has done this ALWAYS. Sometimes if you kill the app it updates or changes but mostly it doesn’t. Turning on and off zones, it reverts back. Logging out of the account and logging back in also doesn’t work. It loads so clearly the app is connecting to my unit but any changes are not possible. The sad thing is… this is not a little app bug from a and update. They have the worst ratings and reviews here on the App Store and I doubt they even read or care about this at all because this same complaint has been going for over 2 years that I had this. Remember - this is your top of the line unit. We bought this for the smart features. Your app doesn’t work AND you don’t have APIs so I can’t use a third party controller like nest either. So now I lie in bed too warm because I don’t want to wake my partner to walk around the house to adjust on the wall controller. On top of this, the scheduling is unusable and power management terrible. The unit has leaked gas and not worked less than 2 years from installation. This is not the pinnacle of smart devices and deserves no award. If you havnt bought a unit yet, seriously consider others. The marketing “for Australia” just means they don’t have the technical know how to manage the digital world like international vendors can. ### 1/5 — Terrible App *2023-10-01, version 1.1.6* The app generally is terrible. Disconnects, if connected can’t use functions, or generally just hard to control via iPhone. Fix connectivity and remote access, for a $20k system, I expect better!! ### 1/5 — Never works *2023-09-11, version 1.1.6* Have used the app for a couple of years now and always had to close the app and reopen as it would never show if the unit was actually running or not. App must of had an update recently because now it doesn’t even show anything. Can’t turn it on or see any information. ### 1/5 — Unreliable app *2023-09-01, version 1.1.6* We had an Actron ESP Platinum installed about 3 months ago. The app is terrible and logs you out of your account more often than not. Paying a premium price deserves at least a reliable app at the minimum. ### 1/5 — Rubbish *2023-08-15, version 1.1.6* I cannot get this to consistently work. I’m logged in but have no options use. Screen is blank. Deleted and reinstalled. If lucky works again, then few days later stops. ### 1/5 — Still 1 star (May 2023) *2023-05-23, version 1.1.6* Two years after getting Actron Que, I’m still having issues with this app. The app randomly signs you out every week. Requires internet (why can’t you control it directly if on the same LAN?). Updates in one part of the UI don’t update other parts. Extremely slow latency with their server (there’s no excuse not to host in Australia with 10ms latency). The wall controller died and had to be replaced. This company just cannot do software. A pity, because the thing the consumer interacts with daily is an after-thought. And it shows. I still cannot recommend Actron to any other Australian. ### 1/5 — Never works *2023-04-03, version 1.1.6* Complete waste of time. I’ve had the main controller replaced and they thought there was a wifi issue - app still doesn’t work with the new one. Utter rubbish ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Shocking App! *2026-04-15, version 1.1.9* By far the worst app you can use but it’s the only one that works with my aircon. So many bugs, never get updates and when it does (rarely) then the app breaks even more. Dev team put some effort and fix things. ### 1/5 — Useless *2026-02-21, version 1.1.8* For such an expensive air-conditioning system, the mobile app is woeful. ### 1/5 — Terrible *2026-02-17, version 1.1.8* Does not work . App is on phone , deleted from phone and iCloud , re installed . Will not connect to the master . Very poor experience, have to now always go down stairs and operate the system via master . Our control panel is 4 metres from the WIFI router and NO OTHER appliances or apps disconnect the way this stupid app does. When used with the phone it takes 5 or 6 times to close and open the app to make a single change and for the change to be stored in the main controller. Rubbish of an app, but it’s then only one that can be used to control remotely the aircon. Please work on fixes so we can control remotely! ### 1/5 — App not working *2025-06-12, version 1.1.7* Have to reset the aircon system or re download the app for it to connect it never use to do this but now it’s rubbish ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — Fantastic app, fantastic system *2020-05-05, version 1.1.4* Surprised by all the negative reviews, this works flawlessly on my system and is light years ahead of any OEM system and imo much better than the 3rd party Myair. Make sure the system is commissioned correctly by your installer and log into your Actron account on your controller over WiFi. If that’s not connected there’s not much the app can do to overcome! It’s a cloud based API so needs to connect to your system. Fantastic system, clean UI, has all the functionality you want for zone control and individual temperature and works the same on local network or if you’re connecting via internet remotely. Great if you forget to turn the system off, or want to pre hear/cool before you get home. Awesome work devs!!! ### 4/5 — Great App! I was worried. *2021-09-15, version 1.1.5* Great app! I was really worried about all the bad reviews and it had me concerned in what I had invested in, 26k for air conditioning was not cheap. However, I can say with great confidence the app works as intended. It’s very simple, would prefer more features and the ability to enter longer names when renaming rooms for example it won’t let me enter ‘Library Lounge’ which is on the same ducting. Firstly the actual system is great and I’m very happy with it and was concerned when I saw such negative reviews. In my experience though the app has worked fine. I understand there was an issue earlier in 2022 where Actron did not renew an SSL certificate that meant the system was offline, but in my use it has been very reliable. Is it perfect? Of course not. Could it be improved? Absolutely. Namely, the inability to create or edit (or even view) schedules is a big oversight and something the developers should add to the dev program, but for day to day use it works pretty well ### 2/5 — Apps not connecting to main screen on 2 phones *2025-04-04, version 1.1.7* The app has been working until recently. System is good but the app needs some serious work to make sure it works. A reboot of the system controller (holding the off button for 15 seconds) restored the app’s functionality. Like many customers I find that making a change from the app does always “stick”, and it just reverts to the previous setting. Or at least appears to. About half the time it works, but indicates it didn’t. The other half it does work at all. Frustrating when you turn the AC off from your phone as you leave, come home 8 hours later only to find it ignored your commands.
